The prime purpose of this study is to empirically explore the comparative environmental impact of renewable and non renewable energy consumption in India. The study also investigates the impact of increasing levels of national income and development of financial sector on environmental quality and applicability of "Pollution Haven Hypothesis" in the country. Multiple structural breaks based [1] cointegration test has been applied to investigate the presence of cointegrating relationship among the variables. Modified Autoregressive Distributed Lag Bounds test has been applied to ascertain cointegration. The empirical results confirmed presence of cointegration with three structural breaks. The long run results revealed that renewable energy consumption has no direct mitigating impact on emission of greenhouse gases, however, a shift from conventional to renewable sources of energy may help the natural environment by lessening the hampering effect of fossil fuels on environment. Hence, India faces a dual challenge of achieving maximum possible growth of national output and simultaneously addressing the rising threat of global warming and climate change. The authors suggest policymakers to take necessary steps for attracting foreign investment in clean energy, providing fiscal and financial incentives for undertaking renewable energy projects and eliminating subsidies to fossil fuels. Digitalized agriculture methods and other technical improvements are required to be integrated with finance technology (FinTech) as a critical path and through this integration, trade-offs between resource use and profitability may be lessened, supporting the development of sustainable agricultural models. This research explores the complex interrelationships of factors influencing adoption of fintech by farmers. This study understands the relationship between Social Influence (SI), Performance Expectancy (PE), Convenience (C), Behavioural Intention to adopt agricultural fintech products and services (BIAFPS) and Actual Adoption of agricultural products and services (AAFPS). By utilizing a multifaceted methodology drawn as an extension of Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) model by intercepting BIAFPS as mediator, the study explores the intricate relationships and interdependencies among these variables, illuminating the critical function of BIAFPS in this intricate structure. This study intends to improve the understanding of the mechanisms impacting farmer's perspective by analysing 362 farmers as respondent of 6 different districts of the third largest agriculture cultivation state of India i.e. Uttar Pradesh during April 2023- July 2023. Authors applied stratified sampling technique to collect the data. Smart PLS4 was utilized and SEM and mediation analysis was conducted to study the data. The study concluded that SI, PE, and C influence BIAFPS and AAFPS respectively in a very positive manner and also full mediation of BIAFPS was established among SI, PE, C and AAFPS. The importance of FinTech integration in promoting sustainable farming practices eventually leading to sustainable development is emphasized in this study. Stakeholders may unleash the transformative potential of FinTech and promote a paradigm shift towards environmentally responsible and commercially successful agriculture systems in developing countries by addressing the factors driving adoption. The introduction of sustainable development goals has made sustainability a top priority for most nations. This has raised the investment into the educational system for potential growth and for creating an innovation culture in any country; the role of institutional investors in the development of financing clean energy infrastructure, entrepreneurial development, poverty reduction, and driving corporate social responsibility and firm development has been found significant. An intensive literature search of Scopus and the web of science database was explored with different relevant sets of keywords "Institutional investors AND Education", "Institutional investors" AND "Higher education", which drew 29 final articles between 2010–2021. This scoping review draws a new open approach for creating alternative sustainable funding for the higher education system and investment opportunities for institutional investors with government intervention. This research becomes the first that shows the road map to the higher education system in creating alternative funding through the proposed Institutional Investor & Sustainable University Funding Governance Code, which will make the higher education system independent and ease the burden on the government, as well as create a huge market opportunity for both players. [Display omitted] • An integrated approach of competitive adsorption, diffusion and dispersion was developed for the CO 2 -ECBM process. • Competitive adsorption was considered using IAST modelling and the retrograde behavior of competitive adsorption was presented. • The diffusion process was modelled using adsorption isotherm and the concept of caucus point was defined in relative diffusion of CO 2 and CH 4 in coal. • The diffusion and dispersion relationship were followed in discussing the dispersive phenomena. • The displacement ability of CO 2 was presented. The displacement mechanisms of adsorbed CH 4 by injected CO 2 at high pressures in CO 2 -enhanced coalbed methane (CO 2 -ECBM) processes involve competitive adsorption, diffusion, and dispersion. Inherent coal heterogeneity and the complexity of the CO 2 -CH 4 displacement model make CO 2 -ECBM modelling and optimal process design challenging. The pure gas isotherms and Langmuir adsorptions constants for CO 2 and CH 4 were determined using the manometric method. Notably, CO 2 shows higher adsorption capacity than methane, and Langmuir volume (V L) for CO 2 is 2 to 2.3 times that of methane. High pressure adsorption isotherms and experimentally determined diffusion coefficients set the sorption kinetics. The diffusion coefficient of CH 4 for all four samples was in the range between 1.35 × 10 - 12 and 7.42 × 10 - 12 m2/s, while for CO 2 , it varied from 10.9 × 10 - 12 to 15.48 × 10 - 12 m2/s. The new concept of caucus time was introduced in the sorption kinetics of CO 2 and CH 4. Each sample has distinct caucus time and was positively correlated with Langmuir volumes of CO 2 and CH 4 with R2 > 0.9. The critical desorption pressure above which CH 4 exhibits retrograde adsorption behaviour is evaluated from co-adsorption isotherms adopting Ideal Adsorption Solution Theory (IAST). The critical desorption pressure for the four samples were 1220, 460, 575 and 740 psi respectively. IAST also predicts a critical mole fraction (∼30 %) in the gas phase above which CO 2 becomes the dominant adsorbed phase on coal surfaces. The results of Advective-Dispersion modelling at a larger scale illustrate the value of the Dispersion coefficient in forecasting and screening. Since the time available for diffusion versus dispersion depends upon flowrate, high values of dispersion coefficient can negatively influence favourable competitive adsorption expectations through higher operational cost in CO 2 separation. This work suggests the existence of both an optimal operational pressure and flowrate to maximize the potential of CO 2 -ECBM technology demonstrated in competitive adsorption modelling. Chitosan derivatives are reported as anticoagulants in the literature. This work was undertaken to develop novel chitosan derivatives as anticoagulants. The sulfonated derivatives of chitosan were formed by the reaction of chitosan derivatives with chlorosulfonic acid in N,N-dimethylformamide. The structures of these derivatives were established by FTIR and 1H NMR spectra. The prepared derivatives were evaluated for their in vivo anticoagulant effects by the tail bleeding method in Wistar rats utilizing nicoumalone as a standard drug. The results revealed that the sulfonation of the chitosan increases its anticoagulant activity. The developed compounds exhibited faster onset of action and potency than nicoumalone after one hour of the drug administration. The sulphated N-alkyl derivatives of chitosan were more potent anticoagulants than sulfated quaternary derivatives/sulfated chitosan. It is also suggested to develop analogs of Ethyl chitosan sulfate (4b) and Benzyl chitosan sulfate (4c), which may provide some more fruitful anticoagulants having faster onset of action as well as longer duration of action and possessing a balanced hydrophilic/lipophilic character.
