The current research describes the synthesis, characterization, and application of a newly developed metal organic framework grounded on ruthenium (Ru-MOF) for the elimination of hazardous chemicals atrazine (AZ) from water. The zeta potential, N 2 adsorption/desorption, SEM, TEM, XPS, and FTIR Spectroscopy were used to analyze the Ru-MOF. Ru-MOF has a high surface area of 1058.62 m2.g−1 and micropores with a pore volume of 0.74 cm3.g−1 were produced by the characterization analyses. Additionally, it was discovered that atrazine adsorption produced good results at pH 4 and an adsorbent mass of 0.8 g per liter of solution. The greatest successful fit with the equilibrium facts was provided by the Langmuir model isothermally and Pseudo-Second-Order kinetically at 298 K, with a maximum adsorption capacity of 382.7 mg.g−1. A spontaneous endothermic process was validated using the thermodynamic characteristics. The results of kinetic investigations, which were fitted to a pseudo-second-order model, displayed that equilibrium was got after 90 min. In terms of adsorption kinetics, the experimental results can be represented by the linear driving force model. Additionally, the projected adsorption data of the model agree with the results of the experiment. Box Behnken design study may also show the ideal circumstances for greater atrazine elimination by Ru-MOF. Hydrophobic, π–π interactions and pore filling processes that take place at the surfaces may be used to govern the adsorption mechanisms. When the adsorption capacity was compared to the literature review, it was determined that the Ru-MOF had the best adsorption capacity out of all the preceding adsorbents. Photochromism has shown to be a promising tool for improving the authenticity of commercially available products. Additionally, improving the engineering process of authentication patterns has been crucial to offer mechanically reliable anticounterfeiting nanofibers. Herein, the electrospinning technology was applied to develop mechanically reliable and photoluminescent silicon dioxide-based electrospun glass nanofibers (80–110 nm) embedded with lanthanide-activated aluminate (LA) nanoparticles (NPs; 1–2 nm) for anticounterfeiting purposes. The produced nanocomposite films exhibited photochromism from colorless in visible spectrum to green under ultraviolet irradiation. The nanofibrous film transparency was maintained by presenting the strontium aluminate pigment as nano-scaled particles, which improves its distribution and prevents the formation of aggregates in the electrospun glass nanofibrous bulk. After being excited at 365 nm, the nanofibers made of phosphor@glass (LANPs@GLS) displayed an emission band at 519 nm. Increases in the pigment ratio enhanced the hydrophobicity of the LANPs@GLS nanofibers without altering their intrinsic characteristics. The LANPs@GLS films exhibited fast and reversible photochromism without fatigue when activated by UV light. Transparency and flexibility were shown by the nanofibrous mats. Hydrazone derivative was used to prepare 1:1 M ratio with Cr(III) & Co(II) ions as well as 1:2 ratio with Zn(II) & Cd(II) ions. The ligand (H 2 L) coordinated as bidentate/tridentate via neutral/ monobasic towards the metal ions. This proposal depends on the size of metal ion and the conjugated anion in its salt used. The octahedral geometry of Cr(III) or Co(II) complex was confirmed via ligand field transition bands as well as the magnetic moment values. While, Cd(II) and Zn(II) geometries were assumed according to d10-systematic forms and the mode of bonding was supported by 1H NMR spectra. SEM, XRD, EDX and TGA were mainly used to detect surface morphology, particle-sizes, elemental percentages, and thermal stability, respectively. Molecular modeling was carried out to optimize the structural forms and then confirms the binding manner proposed from spectral studies. Consequently, the ligand showed a well distribution for C(8)-O(11) and C(13) = O(12) groups, which promotes their coordination easily without twisting or strain for the bonds. The electrostatic potential confirms nucleophilicity of O(11) and O(12) atoms, which improved after coordination with Cr(III) and Co(II) ions due to M → L charge transfer. The dipole moment of the ligand (4.08 debye) predicts a distinguish biological activity for the ligand, while it is not expected for its complexes. Antimicrobial, antioxidant and cytotoxicity results of the ligand are extremely promising, which agreed perfectly with that expected from computations. Upon ZnSO 4 solution prepared as a bulk or from nano-sized particles, in H 2 O or in mixed solvents (EtOH + H 2 O), the conductance parameters were estimated according to Fuoss-Hsia-Fernández-Prini (FHFP) method. The limiting molar conductance commonly decreased by increasing ethanol percentage in solvent mixtures. In presence or absence of the ligand, the association constant, thermodynamic parameters and activation energy, were calculated in addition to complex formation constants and molar ratios [M:L].
