This study was conducted to examine the Effect of Solution-Oriented Approach on Attitudes of Violence Against Women in High School Students. The research was designed as a pretest-posttest and repeated-measurement randomized controlled experimental study. The population of the research consisted of 1473 students studying at 5 high schools randomly selected from a city center. Out of these students, 166 students who did not accept the study or did not meet the research criteria were excluded, and the school numbers of the remaining 1307 students were numbered separately for girls and boys, and 90 (45 girls and 45 boys) students were included in the study by simple randomization method. Personal Information Form and Violence Against Women Attitude Scale (İSKEBE) were used to collect data. Before the program, the personal characteristics of the control and experimental group students were similar in terms of İSKEBE and subscale scores. Significant differences were found between the groups in the Attitude Toward Identity, Attitude Toward Body sub-dimensions, and the total scores of İSKEBE of the scale used to collect data in the post-program and follow-up test (p < 0.05). It was seen that the solution-oriented approach applied to high school students had positive effects on the students' attitudes toward violence against women. • SPSf-2 %hBN PEM with a proton conductivity of 10.8 mS cm−1 was developed. • The mechanical strength of SPSf-based PEM is increased with hBN nanoparticle. • hBN additive improves the thermal and oxidation properties of the SPSf-based PEM. • Highly effective non-agglomeration PEM based on hBN and SPSf can be produced. Sulfonated polysulfone (SPSf) polymer is an alternative raw material in producing commercially used proton exchange membranes. On the other hand, hexagonal boron nitride (hBN) is one of the additives of interest for nanocomposite PEMs. In this study, nanocomposite membranes is fabricated and characterized with SPSf and hBN nanoparticles. The degree of sulfonation of the sulfonated polysulfone is determined by titration, and sulfonic acid bonds are investigated by Proton Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (1H NMR) analysis. SPSf is dissolved with dichloromethane, and hBN nanoparticles are added. After homogenizing the prepared solution with magnetic and ultrasonic stirrers, membranes are formed using Dr. Blade. 1H NMR, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC), X-Ray Diffractometer (XRD), and Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA) analysis are examined the morphological, thermal, and organic compound structures of the membranes. Water uptake capacity, swelling ratio, proton conductivity, oxidative resistance, and mechanical properties of the membranes are determined. The highest water uptake capacity is obtained as 40.08 % in the membrane named SPSf-3 %hBN. Using hBN additive improved swelling ratio and thermal and mechanical strength properties. The proton conductivity values of polysulfone (PSf), SPSf, SPSf-1 %hBN, SPSf-2 %hBN, and SPSf-3 %hBN membranes are determined as 2.89, 6.84, 3.57, 10.8 and 5.12 mS cm−1, respectively. As a result of the analysis, it is observed that the nanocomposite membrane structure has both amorphous and crystalline homogeneous structure. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Diesel engines are used widely as they have lower fuel consumption and higher thermal efficiency in transportation sector. However, the emitted high NOx, CO and soot emissions have led researchers to search different alternative fuels. At this point, diesel fuels emulsions help to reduce exhaust emissions. In this study, the effects of diesel fuel emulsions containing 5% (E5) and 10% (E10) water on engine performance an exhaust emissions has been investigated. Mono ethylene glycol was used as an auxiliary emulsifier in the preparation of the emulsion. Use of the mono ethylene glycol reduced the subsidence rate of the E5 and E10 about 34.5% and 47.1% respectively. The experiments were conducted at full load condition and at 2500, 3250 and 4000 rpm engine speeds. Engine torque and power increased according to diesel fuel between 2400 and 3600 engine speed range when emulsified fuels were used. But significant reductions were observed after that engine speed range. It was observed that the nitrogenoxide (NOx) emission reduced 5.42% and 11.01% with using E5 and E10 fuel respectively according to diesel fuel at 2500 rpm. Abstract: In this study, chicken fat biodiesel with synthetic Mg additive was studied in a single-cylinder, direct injection (DI) diesel engine and its effects on engine performance and exhaust emissions were studied. A two-step catalytic process was chosen for the synthesis of the biodiesel. Methanol, sulphuric acid and sodium hydroxide catalyst were used in the reaction. To determine their effects on viscosity and flash point of the biodiesel, reaction temperature, methanol ratio, type and amount of catalyst were varied as independent parameters. Organic based synthetic magnesium additive was doped into the biodiesel blend by 12μmol Mg. Engine tests were run with diesel fuel (EN 590) and a blend of 10% chicken fat biodiesel and diesel fuel (B10) at full load operating conditions and different engine speeds from 1800 to 3000rpm. The results showed that, the engine torque was not changed significantly with the addition of 10% chicken fat biodiesel, while the specific fuel consumption increased by 5.2% due to the lower heating value of biodiesel. In-cylinder peak pressure slightly rose and the start of combustion was earlier. CO and smoke emissions decreased by 13% and 9% respectively, but NO x emission increased by 5%.
