We proposed a ferrimagnetic mixed-spin (1, 3/2) Ising model to study the magnetic behaviors of a graphene ladder-type chain structure by means of Monte Carlo simulation. Induced by different physical parameters, the system can display interesting magnetic behaviors such multiple saturation magnetization values, double-peak susceptibility curves, and multi-cycle hysteresis loops. Abstract Based on the Ising model, the magnetic and thermodynamic properties of a ferrimagnetic mixed-spin (1/2, 1, 3/2) nanoisland with a double-layer quadrangle core-shell structure has been investigated by Monte Carlo simulation. The magnetization of the total system and three sublattices, susceptibility, blocking temperature, internal energy and hysteresis loops have been discussed in detail. The phase diagrams of the T B under the influence of various parameters have been given. We have obtained the critical exponents β and γ for the system. Multiple hysteresis loops behaviors such as single, triple, quintuple and septuple loops have been found, originating from the competitions among various parameters. The results are comparable with some theoretical and experimental studies given in advance. The phase diagrams and magnetizations of Ising nanowires with simple core–shell structure are investigated by the use of the effective field theory with correlations. A lot of characteristic behaviors observed in ferromagnetic and ferrimagnetic materials as well as novel phenomena have been obtained, although one section of the system is consisted of one spin-1/2 surface shell atom and one spin-1/2 core atom and they are coupled with a positive or a negative shell–core exchange interaction. The magnetic properties of spins -S and σ Ising model on the Bethe lattice have been investigated by using the Monte Carlo simulation. The thermal total magnetization and magnetization of spins S and σ with the different exchange interactions, different external magnetic field and different temperatures have been studied. Monte Carlo simulation has been used to study the magnetic properties of a mixed spin-1 and spin-3/2 ferrimagnetic through Ising model on a honeycomb lattice. The total magnetization, magnetization of sublattice A with spin 1 and sublattice B with spin 3/2 are studied for different values of exchange interactions, for a zero crystal field and for different values of a magnetic field. The total magnetization versus the exchange interactions J AB / J AA for different values of crystal field of two sublattices is given. Using the effective field theory with a probability distribution technique that accounts for the self-spin correlation function, the thermal and the magnetic properties of a single Ising nanoparticle consisting of a ferromagnetic core, a ferromagnetic surface shell and a ferrimagnetic interface coupling are examined. The effect of the transverse field in the surface shell, the exchange interactions between core/shell and in surface shell on the free energy, thermal magnetization, specific heat and susceptibility are studied. A number of interesting phenomena have been found such as the existence of the compensation phenomenon and the magnetization profiles exhibit P-type, N-type and Q-type behaviors. Magnetic properties of a trilayer nanostructure of hexagonal lattices described by the spin-1/2 Ising model are investigated via the effective-field theory (EFT) with correlations. In order to clarify the distinction between the ferromagnetic and ferrimagnetic behaviors, the total magnetization, total susceptibility, total inverse susceptibility and critical boundaries have been obtained for positive and negative interlayers couplings. From thermal variations, some magnetic compensation types are found for the ferrimagnetic system. Magnetic and thermodynamic characteristics of Ising ferrimagnetic core-shell graphene nanoribbon with core spin −2 and shell spin 5/2 were investigated by using the effective field theory with correlations. Some characteristic phenomena have been found in the system. Different saturation magnetization and P-type and Q-type curves were found on the magnetization curves. At low temperature, the magnetization has obvious magnetization platform. Due to the results of exchange coupling, anisotropy and external magnetic field competition, the m 5 -m 7 sublattice magnetization platform presents a concave shape. A ferrimagnetic mixed spin square Blume-Capel Ising nanowire system on spin-1 core and spin-3/2 outer shell have been investigated. The general formula for the temperature dependence of the equilibrium magnetization of the system is presented. The ferrimagnetic core-shell nanosystem shows a compensation point when the exchange interactions are changed for different values of the single-ion anisotropies of shell sublattices and core ones, respectively. So, one can examine interesting phenomena are compensation behaviors and the free energy of the nanosystem, where these phenomena found that the mixed-spin square Blume-Capel Ising nanosystem which is being considered has two compensation temperatures in the range of − 0.8 ≤ D B | J 1 | ≤ − 0.4 , respectively. • We have used mean-field approximation(MFA) for the study of a ferrimagnetic mixed spin square Blume-Capel Ising nanowire system consists of spin-1 core and spin-3/2 outer shell. • Particularly, it has been studied the effect of magnetic anisotropies on an existence of compensation temperature. • Our results predict the possibility of two compensation temperatures depending on the negative values of core, shell crystal fieldsand, respectively. In this paper, we proposed a ferrimagnetic mixed-spin (1, 3/2) Ising model to describe the ladder-like graphene nanoribbon. Using the Monte Carlo simulation, the effects of the anisotropies, exchange couplings, longitudinal magnetic field and temperature on the magnetic and thermodynamic properties were investigated. Typical temperature dependences of thermodynamics quantities such as magnetization, susceptibility and internal energy were presented under the influence of various physical parameters. The phase diagrams of blocking temperature were obtained in the different parameter planes. In particular, we also found some interesting double hysteresis loops behavior for certain physical parameters. Magnetic and thermodynamic properties of the zigzag graphene nanoribbon described by Ising model have been studied within Monte Carlo simulation. The system exhibited interesting and rich magnetization plateaus behaviors at low temperature, which is sensitive to the exchange coupling and the anisotropy. In certain parameters, the depressed saturation magnetization, spin-flip or spin-flop has been found on the magnetization curves. The peaks on the susceptibility and specific heat curves originate from competition among the magnetic field, the exchange couplings and anisotropies. The spin configurations of the zigzag graphene nanoribbon can be modulated by the anisotropies.
