Rapeseed (Brassica napus L.) is the second most widely grown premium oilseed crop globally, mainly for its vegetable oil and protein meal. One of the main goals of breeders is producing high-yield rapeseed cultivars with sustainable production to meet the requirements of the fast-growing population. Besides the pod number, seeds per silique (SS), and thousand-seed weight (TSW), the ovule number (ON) is a decisive yield determining factor of individual plants and the final seed yield. In recent years, tremendous efforts have been made to dissect the genetic and molecular basis of these complex traits, but relatively few genes or loci controlling these traits have been reported thus far. This review highlights the updated information on the hormonal and molecular basis of ON and development in model plants (Arabidopsis thaliana). It also presents what is known about the hormonal, molecular, and genetic mechanism of ovule development and number, and bridges our understanding between the model plant species (A. thaliana) and cultivated species (B. napus). This report will open new pathways for primary and applied research in plant biology and benefit rapeseed breeding programs. This synopsis will stimulate research interest to further understand ovule number determination, its role in yield improvement, and its possible utilization in breeding programs.

This present study reports the biogenic synthesis of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs), gold nanoparticles (AuNPs) and Ag/Au bimetallic nanoparticles (BNPs) using bark extract of plant Tamarix aphylla (T.A). The bark extract contained total polyphenolic compounds and total flavonoids as 0.0362 mg/mg and 0.2928 mg/mg of the dried bark extract respectively. Silver nitrate (AgNO3) and hydrogen tetra chloroaurate trihydrate (HAuCl4.3H2O) were used as precursors while deionised water and methanol (CH3OH) were used as solvents. Synthesized nanoparticles were characterized through UV–visible spectroscopy, SEM (scanning electron microscopy), TEM (transmission electron microscopy) and FTIR (Fourier transform infrared) for their morphology, structure, and identification of different functional groups. The UV–visible spectra of AgNPs, AuNPs and Ag/Au BNPs showed peaks at 436, 532 and 527 nm respectively due to the excitation of Surface Plasmon Resonance. SEM and TEM images showed spherical and well distributed nanoparticles (NPs) with particle size as 29 nm (AgNPs), 13 nm (AuNPs) and 26 nm (Ag/Au BNPs). The synthesized NPs are significantly active against inhibition of free radicals, α-amylase, α-glucosidase and have anti inflammatory potential with AgNPs having the highest percent activity at 400 μg/ml, followed by Ag/Au BNPs. The same trend (AgNPs > Ag/AuBNPs > AuNPs) has been observed at all concentrations i.e. 100 μg/ml, 200 μg/ml and 400 μg/ml. AuNPs have shown lowest activity at all concentrations. So the current study strongly confirms use of T.A bark extract as reducing agent for synthesis of metal NPs and opens up a new possibility of using these green synthesized NPs as biomedicines. We also suggest further in vivo investigation to report any side effects if present.

Background: Backward running (BR) and forward running (FR) activate distinct neuromuscular pathways and utilize differing biomechanical principles. Although FR is a well-established training modality, the potential advantages of BR for enhancing athletic performance and mitigating injury risk necessitate further exploration. Moreover, there exists a paucity of experimental data comparing these modalities in collegiate athlete populations. Purpose: This study sought to quantify the differential effects of BR intervention, FR intervention, and no intervention on agility, power, and speed performance in collegiate athletes. Methods: Thirty collegiate athletes (Aged 18–28 years) were randomly allocated to the BR group (n = 10), FR group (n = 10), and an absolute control (CON) group (n = 10). The BR and FR groups performed running sessions on a treadmill for matched time and intensity biweekly for eight weeks. All athletes were assessed for agility, speed, and power performance before and after the intervention. Results: Results revealed a significant main effect of time (p 0.05). Conclusions: BR intervention led to greater gains in CMJ performance and improved 10-m sprint performance compared to the control group, with little improvement compared to the FR group based on the mean difference data.

Excessive number of dyes in water is becoming the main cause of water pollution, which is very important to remove because it is harmful. Dye contaminated water is being treated by various methods. Adsorption method can be considered best for the study of dye removal due to several technological reasons. The adsorption method has also been emphasized in this study. In the present work, a nano-bio-composite was fabricated by growing manganese oxide nanoparticles on abundant cellulosic guava leaf powder. This allows nanocomposite to be prepared in large quantities at nominal cost. The characterization technique confirmed the irregular growth of manganese oxide nanoparticles onto the guava leaf powder. The electrostatic and non-electrostatic interactions was confirmed in between manganese oxide nanoparticles and the carbon structure of guava leaf powder. The massive functional groups were found to be in the prepared nano-bio-composite. The grain size of prepared material was in nano range. The developed nano-bio-composite was used to remove methylene blue from water. This showed a very good adsorptive capacity for methylene blue. The analyzed adsorption data was modelled through isotherms, kinetics and thermodynamics models. The nature of the adsorption process was determined to be spontaneous and exothermic. The reusability test was carried out for five adsorption-desorption cycles. The reusability results suggested the better removal efficiency (%) in the first two cycles with only 20 % reduction in removal efficiency (%). The leaching test result revealed the good stability of MnO2/GL at neutral pH. It was a unique and cheap adsorbent of its kind, which had not been noticed anywhere before.

This study reports the production of a heterojunction copper oxide-zinc oxide nano-photocatalyst based on lemon leaf extract, which acted as both a stabilizer and a capping and reducing agent. The fabricated photocatalyst had a smooth surface with numerous functional groups, and its energy band gap was measured to be 3.14 eV, which is suitable for photocatalytic applications. Toxic Congo Red dye was used as a model pollutant to investigate the photocatalytic degradation performance of the proposed CuO-ZnO nano-photocatalyst. The photocatalyst exhibited a rapid degradation rate under sunlight irradiation, reducing the concentration of the dye by almost 70 % within 50 min and exhibited pseudo-first-order kinetics. The performance of the photocatalyst was also evaluated based on its quantum yield and figure of merit, which were found to be 6.63 x 10−9 molecules photon−1and 3.31 x 10−4, respectively. In addition, the proposed catalyst displayed good stability for up to 5 cycles. Based on these results, the fabricated CuO-ZnO nano-photocatalyst outperformed previously reported photocatalysts. The mechanisms associated with the dye degradation were also explained by an interfacial charge transfer reaction.

Efficient use of Energy and the usage of renewable forms of energy are considered to be key concepts of sustainable architectural design. Our country, Iraq, including the city of Kirkuk, is one of the developing cities that witnessed an increase in the population and thus the expansion of the city, and due to the lack of local studies in the field of sustainability and energy efficiency, the need for research in the field of applying these concepts in designing buildings to save local energy has emerged.This study examines the potential for sustainable architectural design in the city of Kirkuk, Iraq. The research specifically focuses on analysing the environmental performance of a ten-story multi-storey building to determine the optimal form and orientation that would minimise energy consumption and yield environmental and economic benefits. Building Information Modelling (BIM) and simulation were used to evaluate the energy consumption of six different building models over a 12-month period. Results indicate that the T-shaped model had the lowest energy consumption at a rotation angle of 285˚, providing valuable insights for the design and construction of energy-efficient buildings in Kirkuk.

Summary: P53 is a master transcriptional regulator and effector of the DNA damage response (DDR) that localizes to DNA damage sites, in part, via an interaction with PARP1. However, the mechanisms that regulate p53 abundance and activity at PARP1-decorated DNA damage sites remain undefined. The PARP9 (BAL1) macrodomain-containing protein and its partner DTX3L (BBAP) E3 ligase are rapidly recruited to PARP1-PARylated DNA damage sites. During an initial DDR, we found that DTX3L rapidly colocalized with p53, polyubiquitylated its lysine-rich C-terminal domain, and targeted p53 for proteasomal degradation. DTX3L knockout significantly increased and prolonged p53 retention at PARP-decorated DNA damage sites. These findings reveal a non-redundant, PARP- and PARylation-dependent role for DTX3L in the spatiotemporal regulation of p53 during an initial DDR. Our studies suggest that targeted inhibition of DTX3L may augment the efficacy of certain DNA-damaging agents by increasing p53 abundance and activity.

Objective: The present study was envisioned to develop Sunoon Zard a traditional Unani toothpowder into toothpaste form along with its physicochemical standardization and evaluation of anti microbial activity against oral pathogens by in vitro study. Materials and methods: Herbal extracts based powder was redesigned to toothpaste as per the Pharmacopoeial guidelines and its pharmaceutical evaluation was conceded as per the Indian Government Tooth Paste Specifications. In vitro study was done to evaluate the antibacterial activity by using agar well diffusion method against dental pathogens. Zone of Inhibition was taken as the end parameter against the test pathogens after appropriate incubation period. It was compared with Dimethyl sulphoxide (DMSO) used as solvent (0.01%) as Negative control whereas Ciprofloxacin 5μg/disk (standard antibiotic for gram positive) and Gentamicin 10μg/disk (standard antibiotic for gram negative) were used as Positive control. All the experiment was done as per the Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI) Guidelines in triplicates. Results: Sunoon Zard was developed into toothpaste form and its physicochemical values were found to in consonance with the optimum values as mentioned in Bureau of Indian Standard. In vitro study of the Sunoon Zard toothpaste was found to be effective against various dental pathogens with specific sensitivity with good zone of inhibition towards gram negative bacterial strains viz. P.aeruginosa and K.pneuomoniae while among gram positive a significant inhibition was found against C.xerosis and S.viridans. Conclusion: The developed toothpaste from classical Unani herbal tooth powder will provide the better patient compliance. Moreover its scientific screening which exhibited potential antibacterial activity in controlling pathogenic oral microflora compared to the standard drugs also revalidated the claim of Unani Physicians that the Sunoon Zard is quite effective in various oro-dental disorders.

Objectives: The objective of the study was to compare the two antidepressant drugs citalopram and escitalopram on the basis of efficacy in depressed patients of Hepatitis C patients receiving interferons. Methods: In this double blind randomized trial, the hepatitis C patients visited National institute of liver and Gastro intestinal diseases (NILGID), Dow University Hospital, were screened for depression before starting treatment with interferons. The Institutional review board approval was obtained and its letter reference no.is: IRB-682/DUHS/Approval/2016/169. Patients with previous history of depression were excluded from the study. The patients who started with Interferon therapy were assessed for depression on baseline and then on each visit. Those who developed depression were randomly assigned to receive either citalopram or escitalopram. Treatment groups were assessed with depression scale each time they visit the clinic. Two antidepressants were compared for their efficacy at an interval of 4 weeks, 8weeks and then 12 weeks. Results: In the current study 80 patients were randomized to receive either citalopram or escitalopram. The study outcome was better in patients treated with escitalopram. The mean change in depression score from baseline to the end of the study was greater in escitalopram group i.e. 10.41 as compared to citalopram group i.e. 14.17. A convenient synthesis of 2′-(2″,4″-dinitrophenyl)-5α-cholestano [5,7-c d] pyrazolines 4–6 from cholest-5-en-7-one 1–3 was performed and structural assignment of the products was confirmed on the basis of IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, MS and analytical data. The synthesized compounds were screened for in vitro antimicrobial activity against different strains during which compound 6 showed potent antimicrobial behaviour against Corynebacterium xerosis and Staphylococcus epidermidis. The synthesized compounds were also screened for in vitro anticancer activity against human cancer cell lines during which compound 5 exhibited significant anticancer activity.

High fatty acid (FA) flux is associated with systemic insulin resistance, and African-American (AA) women tend to be more insulin resistant. We assessed possible depot and race difference in the antilipolytic effect of insulin in adipocytes isolated from abdominal (Abd) and gluteal (Glt) subcutaneous (sc) adipose tissue of overweight, postmenopausal AA and Caucasian (C) women. Percent body fat, fasting insulin, visceral adiposity, and adipocyte size was higher in AA women. Disinhibited lipolysis (presence of adenosine deaminase) per unit adipocyte surface area was similar in Abd and Glt and in AA and C. However, rates of 'basal’ [submaximal phenylisopropyl adenosine (PIA)-suppressed] and insulin-suppressed lipolysis were higher in Abd of AA compared with C women even after adjustment for percent fat and visceral fat area. The race difference in rates of PIA- and insulin-suppressed lipolysis in AA were correlated with their hyperinsulinemia, but AA race, independent of fasting insulin, was associated with lower responsiveness (percent suppression) to submaximal insulin concentrations, although sensitivity (ED50) was not affected. Overall, these data are consistent with the hypothesis that decreased responsiveness of Abd adipocytes to antilipolytic effectors may contribute to higher FA availability and thereby to racial differences in insulin resistance.

Pluronic L81 (PL81) inhibits fat absorption, and other Pluronic copolymers help overcome drug resistance in cancer cells. To understand how PL81 acts, we synthesized a radiolabeled analog, [14C]PL81, and showed that it was structurally similar to PL81 based on 1H NMR as well as mass spectrometric analysis. [14C]PL81 inhibited the secretion of chylomicrons (CMs), lipoproteins essential for fat absorption, by differentiated Caco-2 cells similar to PL81. Moreover, PL81 competed with the cellular uptake of [14C]PL81. Thus, [14C]PL81 and PL81 behave similarly in these physiologic assays. Uptake of [14C]PL81 by Caco-2 cells was concentration-, time-, and temperature-dependent and occurred mainly from the apical side. Intracellularly, it was assimilated in the cytosol. Cells excreted PL81 toward the apical side via a pathway partially sensitive to verapamil. Small amounts were secreted toward the basolateral side unassociated with CM, and this secretion was unaffected by the inhibition of CM assembly. Nonetheless, PL81 significantly inhibited the secretion of triacylglycerols (TGs) and phospholipids as part of CM. PL81-treated cells showed decreased activity of microsomal triglyceride transfer protein and accumulated more TGs, but not phospholipids, in their cytosol. We propose that Pluronic copolymers act by interfering with the export of molecules from the cytosol. They inhibit fat absorption by decreasing TG transport to the endoplasmic reticulum and increase drug efficacy against cancer cells by competing for their excretion.

Objective: Carpal tunnel syndrome (CTS) is the most common type of entrapment neuropathy caused by compression of the median nerve in the carpal tunnel. Epilepsy is characterised by recurrent seizures caused by abnormal neuronal discharges in the brain.This study aimed to investigate whether there is a link between epilepsy and carpal tunnel and, if so, the underlying factors. Materials and methods: Two hundred patients with epilepsy were included in this study. The patients' history of epilepsy, seizure type, and seizure frequency were assessed. The Tinel, Phalen, and Flick physical examination tests were performed on patients with complaints that matched those of median nerve neuropathy. Patients with epilepsy and clinically diagnosed carpal tunnel syndrome completed the Boston Carpal Tunnel Syndrome Questionnaire, and nerve conduction studies were performed. The relationship between seizure type and frequency in patients with carpal tunnel syndrome was compared. Results: Compared to focal-aware motor-onset seizures, the risk of detecting carpal tunnel syndrome was 88.7 times higher in focal-onset bilateral tonic-clonic seizures. Patients with a seizure frequency of one per month or more had a 0.704 times lower risk of CTS than those with a frequency of one per week or more (p = 0.026). Discussion: Patients with epilepsy, especially those experiencing frequent seizures or specific seizure types, may be more susceptible to repetitive wrist flexion-extension postures. Therefore, during clinical follow-up, it is important to inquire about the presence of carpal tunnel syndrome in patients with epilepsy.

Herein, a solid industrial waste management approach converting silico-manganese fumes (SMF) waste to SMF impregnated cryogenic alginate beads (SMFCAB) and its applicability to remove potentially toxic cadmium Cd(II) and lead Pb(II) was proposed. Infra-red, elemental, and XPS analysis data supported the formation SMFCAB. Morphologically, pristine SMFCAB surface was synonymous to cauliflower with agglomerated and interconnected particles. The respective XPS spectral peaks for Cd(II) and Pb(II) at 408 and 144.5 eV binding energies confirmed their adsorption on SMFCAB. The adsorption was pH dependent, with maximum uptakes at pH: 5.5 (for Pb(II)) and 7.2 (for Cd(II)). Contact time studies depicts comparatively rapid Pb(II) adsorption, accomplishing 72% adsorption in 10 min, while only 50% Cd(II) adsorption was accomplished within same time slot. The adsorption data at varied temperatures was fitted to Freundlich isotherm model, while kinetics data was fitted to pseudo-second-order model. Exothermic adsorption process with maximum monolayer adsorption capacities (qm) on SMFCAB were 200 mg/g (for Pb(II)) and 178.6 (for Cd(II)) at 298 K. It is now widely accepted that inflammation is critical in cardiovascular diseases (CVD). Here, studies are being conducted on how cyclic GMP-AMP synthase (cGAS), a component of innate immunity's DNA-sensing machinery, communicates with the STING receptor, which is involved in activating the immune system's antiviral response. Significantly, a growing body of research in recent years highlights the strong activation of the cGAS-STING signalling pathways in several cardiovascular diseases, such as myocardial infarction, heart failure, and myocarditis. This developing collection of research emphasises these pathways' crucial role in initiating and advancing cardiovascular disease. In this extensive narrative, we explore the role of the cGAS-STING pathway in the development of CVD. We elaborate on the basic mechanisms involved in the onset and progression of CVD. Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death, medical complications, and healthcare costs. Although recent advances have been in treating cardiovascular disorders linked with a reduced ejection fraction, acutely decompensate cardiac failure remains a significant medical problem. The transient receptor potential cation channel (TRPC6) family responds to neurohormonal and mechanical stress, playing critical roles in cardiovascular diseases. Therefore, TRP C6 channels have great promise as therapeutic targets. Numerous studies have investigated the roles of TRP C6 channels in pain neurons, highlighting their significance in cardiovascular research. The TRPC6 protein exhibits a broad distribution in various organs and tissues, including the brain, nerves, heart, blood vessels, lungs, kidneys, gastrointestinal tract, and other bodily structures. Its activation can be triggered by alterations in osmotic pressure, mechanical stimulation, and diacylglycerol. Consequently, TRPC6 plays a significant role in the pathophysiological mechanisms underlying diverse diseases within living organisms. A recent study has indicated a strong correlation between the disorder known as TRPC6 and the development of cardiovascular diseases. Consequently, investigations into the association between TRPC6 and cardiovascular diseases have gained significant attention in the scientific community. Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) encompass a range of disorders, from congenital heart malformation, cardiac valve, peripheral artery, coronary artery, cardiac muscle diseases, and arrhythmias, ultimately leading to heart failure. Despite therapeutic advancements, CVDs remain the primary cause of global mortality, highlighting the need for a thorough knowledge of CVDs at the level of molecular structure. Gene and microRNA (miRNA) expression variations significantly influence cellular pathways, impacting an organism's physiology. MiRNAs, in particular, serve as regulators of gene expression, playing critical roles in essential cellular pathways and influencing the development of various diseases, including CVD. A wealth of evidence supports the involvement of miRNAs in CVD progression. These findings highlight the potential of miRNAs as valuable diagnostic biomarkers and open new avenues for their therapeutic application in CVDs. Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) is a clinically and genetically heterogeneous disease with at least 5 recognized molecular subtypes. Cluster 5 (C5)/MCD tumors frequently exhibit concurrent alterations in the toll-like receptor (TLR) and B-cell receptor (BCR) pathway members, MYD88L265P and CD79B, and have a less favorable prognosis. In healthy B cells, the synergy between TLR and BCR signaling pathways integrates innate and adaptive immune responses and augments downstream NF-κB activation. In addition, physiologic TLR9 pathway engagement via MYD88, protein tyrosine kinase 2 (PYK2), and dedicator of cytokinesis 8 (DOCK8) increases proximal BCR signaling in healthy murine B cells. Although C5/MCD DLBCLs are selectively sensitive to Bruton tyrosine kinase (BTK) inhibition in in vitro studies and certain clinical trials, the role of mutated MYD88 in proximal BCR signaling remains undefined. Using engineered DLBCL cell line models, we found that concurrent MYD88L265P and CD79B alterations significantly increased the magnitude and duration of proximal BCR signaling, at the level of spleen tyrosine kinase and BTK, and augmented PYK2-dependent DOCK8 phosphorylation. MYD88L265P DLBCLs have significantly increased colocalization of DOCK8 with both MYD88 and the proximal BCR-associated Src kinase, LYN, in comparison with MYD88WT DLBCLs, implicating DOCK8 in MYD88L265P/proximal BCR cross talk. Additionally, DOCK8 depletion selectively decreased proximal BCR signaling, cellular proliferation, and viability of DLBCLs with endogenous MYD88L265P/CD79BY196F alterations and increased the efficacy of BTK blockade in these lymphomas. The achievement of genome-wide association studies (GWAS) has rapidly progressed our understanding of the etiology of coronary artery disease (CAD). It unlocks new strategies to strengthen the stalling of CAD drug development. In this review, we highlighted the recent drawbacks, mainly pointing out those involved in identifying causal genes and interpreting the connections between disease pathology and risk variants. We also benchmark the novel insights into the biological mechanism behind the disease primarily based on outcomes of GWAS. Furthermore, we also shed light on the successful discovery of novel treatment targets by introducing various layers of "omics" data and applying systems genetics strategies. Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) are one of the leading disorders of serious death and cause huge economic loss to patients and society. It is estimated that about 18 million people have a high death ratio due to the incidence of CVDs such as (stroke, coronary heart disease, and non-ischemic heart failure). Bioactive compounds (BACs) are healthy nutritional ingredients providing beneficial effects and nutritional value to the human body. Epidemiological studies strongly shed light on several bioactive compounds that are favorable candidates for CVDs treatment. Globally, the high risk of CVDs and related results on human body parts made them a serious scenario in all communities. In this present review, we intend to collect previously published data concerned over the years concerning green-colored foods and their BACs that aim to work in the prevention, diagnosis, and/or systematic treating CVDs. We also comprehensively discussed the oral delivery of several bioactive compounds derived from fruits and vegetables and their bioavailability and physiological effects on human health. Moreover, their important characteristics, such as anti-inflammatory, lowering blood pressure, anti-obesity, antioxidant, anti-diabetics, lipid-lowering responses, improving atherosclerosis, and cardio protective properties, will be elaborated further. More precisely, medicinal plants' advantages and multifaceted applications have been reported in this literature to treat CVDs. Coronary artery disease (CAD) is a serious health problem that causes a considerable number of mortality in a number of affluent nations throughout the world. The estimated death encountered in many developed countries includes including Pakistan, reached 111,367 and accounted for 9.87% of all deaths, despite the mortality rate being around 7.2 million deaths per year, or 12% of all estimated deaths accounted annually around the globe, with improved health systems. Atherosclerosis progressing causes the coronary arteries to become partially or completely blocked, which results in CAD. Additionally, smoking, diabetes mellitus, homocystinuria, hypertension, obesity, hyperlipidemia, and psychological stress are risk factors for CAD. The symptoms of CAD include angina which is described as a burning, pain or discomfort in the chest, nausea, weakness, shortness of breath, lightheadedness, and pain or discomfort in the arms or shoulders. Atherosclerosis and thrombosis are the 2 pathophysiological pathways most frequently involved in acute coronary syndrome (ACS). Asymptomatic plaque disruption, plaque bleeding, symptomatic coronary blockage, and myocardial infarction are the prognoses for CAD. Over the past 2 decades, genome-editing technique has proven to be a robust editing method that revolutionizes the field of biomedicine. At the genetic level, it can be efficiently utilized to generate various disease-resistance models to elucidate the mechanism of human diseases. It also develops an outstanding tool and enables the generation of genetically modified organisms for the treatment and prevention of various diseases. The versatile and novel clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeats (CRISPR/Cas9) system mitigates the challenges of various genome editing techniques such as zinc-finger nucleases, and transcription activator-like effector nucleases. For this reason, it has become a ground-breaking technology potentially employed to manipulate the desired gene of interest. Interestingly, this system has been broadly utilized due to its tremendous applications for treating and preventing tumors and various rare disorders; however, its applications for treating cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) remain in infancy. More recently, 2 newly developed genome editing techniques, such as base editing and prime editing, have further broadened the accuracy range to treat CVDs under consideration. Furthermore, recently emerged CRISPR tools have been potentially applied in vivo and in vitro to treat CVDs. Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) are the leading cause of death around the world, a trend that will progressively grow over the next decade. Recently, with the advancement of nanotechnology, innovative nanoparticles (NPs) have been efficiently utilized in disease diagnosis and theranostic applications. In this review, we highlighted the benchmark summary of the recently synthesized NPs that are handy for imaging, diagnosis, and treatment of CVDs. NPs are the carrier of drug-delivery payloads actively reaching more areas of the heart and arteries, allowing them novel therapeutic agents for CVDs. Herein, due to the limited availability of literature, we only focused on NPs mechanism in the cardiovascular system and various treatment-based approaches that opens a new window for future research and versatile approach in the field of medical and clinical applications. Utilization of microbial laccases is considered as the cleaner and target specific biocatalytic mechanism for the recovery of cellulose and hemicelluloses from nonfood and wasted agricultural, lignocellulosic biomass (LCB). The extent of lignin removal by laccase depends on the biochemical composition of biomass and the redox potential (E 0 ) of the biocatalyst. Intensive research efforts are going on all over the world for the recognition of appropriate and easily available agricultural lignocellulosic feedstocks to exploit maximally for the production of value-added bioproducts and biofuels. In such circumstances, laccase can play a major role as a leading biocatalyst and potent substitute for chemical based deconstruction of the lignocellulosic materials. The limited commercialization of laccase at an industrial scale has been feasible due to its full working efficiency mostly expressed in the presence of cost intensive redox mediators only. Although, recently there are some reports that came on the mediator free biocatalysis of enzyme but still not considerably explored and neither understood in depth. The present review will address the various research gaps and shortcomings that acted as the big hurdles before the complete exploitation of laccases at an industrial scale.
