Joint arthroplasty is an effective method for treating end-stage joint lesions and damages. Robotic arm-assisted arthroplasty, a rapidly developing technology that combines navigation technology, minimally invasive technology, and precise control technology of the robotic arm, can achieve accurate preoperative planning, optimal selection of implants, minimally invasive surgery, precise osteotomy, and accurate placement of the artificial joint. It has the characteristics of high accuracy and stability, and thus is more and more widely used in the field of joint surgery. In this paper, we systematically reviewed the application and clinical efficacy of robotic arm-assisted technology in hip and knee arthroplasty to provide reference for its future promotion.

Summary: We identify dynamic topological phenomena such as dynamic Chern numbers and dynamic quantum phase transitions in quantum quenches of the non-Hermitian Su-Schrieffer-Heeger Hamiltonian with parity-time (PT) symmetry. Their occurrences in the non-unitary dynamics are intimately connected with fixed points in the Brillouin zone, where the density matrices do not evolve in time. Based on our theoretical formalism characterizing topological properties of non-unitary dynamics, we prove the existence of fixed points for quenches between distinct static topological phases in the PT-symmetry-preserving regime, thus unveiling the interplay between dynamic topological phenomena and PT symmetry. Interestingly, non-Hermiticity of the driving Hamiltonian gives rise to rich dynamic topological phenomena which are different, either qualitatively or quantitatively, from their counterparts in unitary dynamics. Thelaziosis is a zoonosis with regional epidemics, mainly present in oriental countries, with a majority of cases reported from China. We report a pediatric case of thelaziosis and present a literature review of Chinese case reports. The epidemiological features and clinical characteristics of thelaziosis in China are presented.

Staphylococcus aureus is well known to colonize on human skin where the physiological condition is characterized by hypervariable water activity, i.e., repeated dehydration or rehydration. To determine the facilitating factors for the colonization under hypervariable water activity, we studied the giant protein Ebh (extracellular matrix (ECM)-binding protein homologue). The ebh mutant RAM8 showed invaginated vacuoles along the septum, similar to that found in partial plasmolysis, and the cells burst under osmotic upshift. RAM8 was also relatively susceptible to abrupt hyperosmotic upshift, teicoplanin, and Triton X-100. By using the green fluorescent protein (GFP) as a reporter, Ebh was localized over the entire cell surface. This suggests that Ebh might contribute to structural homeostasis by forming a bridge between the cell-wall and cytoplasmic membrane to avoid plasmolysis under hyperosmotic condition.
