Schwannoma, typically a non-cancerous tumor originating from Schwann cells, seldom occurs in the retroperitoneal area. Its clinical manifestation varies, often remaining asymptomatic for an extended period until it enlarges, exerting pressure on neighboring organs. This article presents a unique instance of retroperitoneal pelvic schwannoma in a 75-year-old woman, initially presenting with unusual lower back discomfort. Imaging was used to characterize the tumor, and anatomopathological examination established the preoperative diagnosis of pelvic schwannoma and its benign nature. The clinical, imaging, and anatomopathological aspects of this pelvic schwannoma case are elucidated herein.

Askin's tumor is a rare primitive neuroectodermal tumoral developing from the soft tissues of the chest wall. Its diagnosis approach is complex and requires a multidisciplinary team. We report a case of an incidentally discovered anterior chest wall Askin tumor in a 27-year-old woman, following a forced chest pain, having motivated to perform a chest CT scan. We will discuss the nonspecific imaging findings and the characteristic histopathological features that confirm a diagnosis.

Immune check point inhibitor has made far-reaching changes in the management of lung adenocarcinoma improving drastically the prognosis. We present a case of a 50 years old women beneficiary of pembrolizumab who has suffered an acute pneumonitis diagnosed with CT imaging the days following the initiation of the drug. The occurrence of immune-related events such as pneumonitis complicates the use of immunotherapy and requires a well verse radiologist in the matter to diagnosis and helps prevent further aggravation.

The peritoneal pseudotumor localization of tuberculosis is a rare clinical form, representing 1 to 3% of extrapulmonary site of tuberculosis. It represents the sixth most common extra pulmonary site of tuberculosis. It is a great mimicker with major overlapping clinical and imaging features. Differentiating peritoneal tuberculosis and peritoneal carcinomatosis in imaging remains challenging. We present a case of a 37-year old woman complaining of chronic abdominal pain and distension who has been diagnosed to have peritoneal carcinomatosis based on CT findings, histopathological study then revealed necrotizing, granulomatous inflammation consistent with tuberculosis. This case showed the interest to be aware of the common and uncommon imaging features of tuberculosis by radiologists to better assess for alternative differential diagnosis.

Abdominal wall hernias are a common imaging finding. Their most common complications include bowel obstruction, incarceration, strangulation and trauma. We report an exceptional case of spigelian hernia in 55 years old women complicated by perforation and massive subcutaneous emphysema which was correctly diagnosed by CT scan. This case showed the interest of CT scan with multiplanar reconstructions in the confirmation of the diagnosis.

Pleomorphic adenoma (PA) is the most common benign histological form of salivary gland tumors, particularly in the parotid gland, primarily affecting women between the ages of 40 and 60. However, its occurrence in the trachea is very rare. This article reports the case of a 48-year-old woman presenting with progressive dyspnea and weight loss, initially suspected of having a pulmonary embolism. A chest CT scan revealed a nearly circumferential tracheal lesion with 2 nodules partially obstructing the tracheal lumen. Histological analysis confirmed the presence of a pleomorphic adenoma of the "salivary gland" type. Although rare, tracheal pleomorphic adenoma should be considered in the differential diagnosis of tracheal tumors. MRI is the preferred examination for detecting tumors in the parotid gland region, offering excellent tissue differentiation. Actinomycosis is a suppurative granulomatous infection caused by the Gram-positive bacillus Actinomyces israelii. It rarely affects the pelvis, but its incidence appears to be increasing, possibly due to the frequent use of intrauterine devices (IUDs). Plexiform neurofibroma is characterized by diffuse intraneural neoplastic overgrowth involving a long nerve segment, with tortuous expansion of its branches. It is a hallmark of Neurofibromatosis Type 1 (NF1). We report the case of a 36-year-old man with a known diagnosis of NF1, who was admitted for chronic posterior cervical pain and cervicobrachial neuralgia. MRI findings were consistent with plexiform neurofibromas. Tuberculosis is an infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis. It constitutes a public health problem, especially in developing countries. Pelvic localization is rare with tubal involvement being the most frequent. It presents clinically, radiologically, and biologically as an ovarian tumor. We report the case of a patient who presented to the emergency department with pelvic pain, an abdominal-pelvic mass, and a general state of deterioration. The patient had a high CA125 level, and imaging initially suggested a neoplastic origin. She underwent laparoscopy with histopathological examination, confirming the diagnosis of tuberculosis, showing giant cell granulomas with caseous necrosis. The pancreas is a more common metastatic site for renal carcinoma; however, metastatic spread of ovarian carcinoma to the pancreas is very rare, with only a few sporadic cases published in the literature. Thymoma, a rare tumor originating from thymic epithelial cells in the anterior mediastinum, presents various diagnostic and clinical challenges, particularly when exhibiting unusual invasive behaviors. We report a case involving a 66-year-old woman with progressive dyspnea and a dry cough, where a CT scan revealed a large, lobulated mass in the anterior mediastinum that had extended through the diaphragm into the abdominal cavity, infiltrating the pleura, spleen, and adjacent structures. Histopathological examination confirmed a type B2 thymoma, classified as T3N2M0 stage IV B. The case underscores the importance of early and accurate diagnosis, highlighting the need for a multidisciplinary approach involving radiologists, oncologists, and thoracic surgeons to manage such advanced thymoma cases. Duodenal metastases from pulmonary adenocarcinoma are rare. Early detection, diagnosis, and treatment are crucial for improving the prognosis of patients with duodenal metastases from primary lung cancer, which often go unnoticed due to their low incidence and diagnostic challenges. Here, we present the case of a 64-year-old man with an unusual occurrence of duodenal metastases from pulmonary adenocarcinoma, admitted with symptoms of cholangitis. Radiological findings revealed a mass in the D2-D3 segments of the duodenum. Male breast cancer is an uncommon condition, accounting for less than 1% of all breast carcinomas and under 1.5% of all malignant tumors in men. Extra-medullary plasmacytoma (EMP) is a rare tumor that most frequently occur in the head and neck region, with the paranasal sinuses, nasopharynx and tonsils being the most common sites. Diagnostic criteria for EMP include histological confirmation of a solitary plasma cell lesion, the presence of fewer than 5% plasma cells in the bone marrow, and the absence of end-organ damage commonly associated with multiple myeloma. CT scans and MRI features are nonspecific and can mimic those of other conditions. EMP of the nasopharynx presents as a slow-growing, radiosensitive mass with a favorable prognosis. We present the case of a 55-year-old male patient who sought medical attention for recurrent epistaxis. An endoscopic examination revealed a tumor located in the nasopharynx, which was confirmed by MRI as a confined nasopharyngeal mass. Invasive lobular carcinoma (ILC) is a rare type of male breast cancer, representing about 1% of cases. It often presents with a palpable mass and sometimes nipple changes, but is usually diagnosed late. ILC is more likely to be estrogen and progesterone receptor-positive and usually HER-2 negative. Its diffuse growth pattern makes it difficult to detect with imaging. Treatment typically follows protocols for female breast cancer, including surgery, chemotherapy, and hormone therapy, with tamoxifen being commonly used. Lymphoma encompasses a range of cancers originating in the lymphatic system, categorized into Hodgkin lymphoma and non-Hodgkin lymphoma. Hodgkin lymphoma classically present as nodal disease, whereas non-Hodgkin lymphoma tends to involve extranodal regions. While it can be part of a systemic lymphoma, isolated nodal involvement is not uncommon. Extranodal lymphoma can affect virtually any organ or tissue, with the spleen, liver, gastrointestinal tract, pancreas, abdominal wall, genitourinary tract, adrenal glands, peritoneal cavity, and biliary tract being among the most commonly involved sites, in decreasing order of frequency. We present a case involving a 54-year-old woman presented with left iliac fossa pain. A sonography was performed, which showed left pelvic mass, magnetic resonance imaging showed left ovarian mass with enlargement of the cervix. Computed tomography revealed enlargement of the pancreas and adrenal glands, along with masses in the kidneys associated with extensive pathological lymph node enlargement in the para-aortic and pelvic regions. Synovialosarcoma is a mesenchymal tumor with soft tissue predilection, metastasizing to various organs, including the lung. Primary pulmonary involvement is rare and requires histological examination for confirmation. Primary hepatic leiomyosarcoma (PHL) is a rare malignant tumor, which originates from smooth muscles. The imaging features are nonspecific and the diagnosis is often delayed until the tumor reaches a large size, which leads often to a dismal prognosis. We report a case of a 46-year-old male patient who was complaining about abdominal pain for 2 months. The imaging revealed the presence of a large mass in the liver with adrenal and liver metastasis. Diagnosis of PHL was confirmed by histopathological and immunohistochemical examinations. A subcutaneous mass in the anterior region of the thorax, (presternal region). Subcutaneous metastases in ovarian cancer are rare, occurring in 0.9% to 5.8% of cases. They are usually a late manifestation that arises several years after the initial diagnosis and often serve as a poor prognostic indicator. Their presence suggests a reported median survival ranging from 3 to 18 months. subcutaneous metastases can be categorized into umbilical metastases, commonly referred to as Sister Joseph's nodules (SJN) the most prevalent type, and non-SJN cutaneous metastases. The primary malignant melanoma of the parotid is a rare and complex clinical entity, posing numerous diagnostic challenges due to the absence of melanin in the tumor and its histological similarities with other poorly differentiated lesions. Accurate diagnosis often requires advanced imaging techniques and immunohistochemical procedures to identify specific melanoma markers. Therapeutically, total parotidectomy with simultaneous cervical dissection is frequently recommended, although approaches combining surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, or even immunotherapy are also being explored. Sarcoidosis, a multifaceted granulomatous disease primarily affecting the lungs, occasionally presents in atypical locations. Lacrimal gland involvement, though rare, poses distinct diagnostic challenges. This case report details a 52-year-old female with bilateral lacrimal gland swelling initially suggestive of metastatic tumor due to a history of breast cancer. Subsequent investigations, including CT and MRI, unveiled pulmonary sarcoidosis. Discussion emphasizes the diverse ocular manifestations of sarcoidosis, with lacrimal gland participation potentially indicating early stages. Diagnostic complexities involve differentiation from other lacrimal pathologies, including neoplasms, lymphoproliferative disorders, Sjögren's syndrome, Wegener's granulomatosis, tuberculosis, and IgG4-related disease. Rectal carcinoma with metastasis to skeletal muscle is a rare occurrence. Since 1970, only 30 cases of skeletal muscle metastasis originating from colorectal adenocarcinomas have been documented, underscoring its exceptionally low incidence. Adenoid cystic carcinoma is a rare tumor that typically originates from secretory glands, most commonly found in the salivary glands. However, it can also develop as a primary cutaneous adenoid cystic carcinoma, which appears identical under the microscope to adenoid cystic carcinoma originating in other tissues. Distinguishing between primary cutaneous adenoid cystic carcinoma and extracutaneous adenoid cystic carcinoma with cutaneous metastases is crucial for determining the prognosis and appropriate management of the condition. Perirenal hematoma is a common complication of traumatism and renal procedures such as nephrostomy, angiography, and lithotripsy. It may constitute a challenging diagnosis in a pre-existing tumor context or in case of an atypical imaging appearance. We present a female patient followed for cervix cancer, who developed bilateral perirenal hematoma with an atypical MRI appearance evoking a malignant tumor. Neuroendocrine breast carcinoma (NEBC) is an uncommon and malignant breast lesion. The absence of proper testing for this type of breast cancer carcinoma exacerbates this paucity. Additionally, only scant evidence of these tumors is present because of the repeated revisions in their diagnostic criteria throughout time. This case report highlights the importance of the correlation between histological and radiological findings in the diagnosis and treatment of neuroendocrine breast cancer. We describe the clinical, radiological, and histological characteristics of a patient diagnosed with neuroendocrine carcinoma. The breast parenchyma was penetrated by a carcinomatous tumor growth that contained trabeculae and lobules, exhibiting mild cytonuclear atypia, and having a low mitotic index. This report describes a rare case of synchronous bilateral carcinoma of the breast in a postmenopausal female patient, with mucinous carcinoma measuring 5 cm in the left breast and multifocal multicentric lobular carcinoma in the right breast. Among gynecological malignancies, Endometrial cancer stands out as the most prevalent form of carcinoma. However, Adenocarcinoma is the most frequent histological type of Endometrial cancer. Endometrial metastases are generally confined to pelvis, and distant metastases are seen primarily in the lymph nodes, lungs, or liver. bone Endometrial metastases are detected from 2% to 6% at diagnosis. Bones metastasis are generally restricted to the pelvis, vertebrae, and femur. Other locations such as the peripheral skeletal, chest wall, cranium and bone recurrence later after initial treatment are very unusual. In cases of bone recurrence, adenocarcinoma is the most seen. CT and PET/CT scan are the most useful diagnostic modality for the detection of a bone metastasis. Cystic lymphangioma is a benign, congenital lymphatic malformation mainly encountered in infants during the first 2 years of life. It is rarely found in adults. Cystic lymphangioma of the breast is an extremely uncommon entity, and only a few cases have been described in the literature. Mammary myofibroblastoma is a rare mesenchymal neoplasm that typically presents in older men and women. Appendiceal mucocele with unprompted pseudomyxoma peritonei is a rare malignant tumor, which is difficult to diagnose before surgery. We present a case of a 62-year-old woman, and subsequently discuss the clinical and imaging presentation of mucoceles. Findings on CT scan suggested 2 diagnoses: appendiceal mucocele with pseudomyxoma peritonei and malignant ovarian tumor with peritoneal carcinosis. MRI suggested the former diagnosis, showing a large tubular mass at the base of appendix with discontinuous wall, and no ovarian abnormality, which was confirmed by mini laparotomy and histological study of peritoneal thickened tissue. Treatment consisted of neoadjuvant chemotherapy, with a good response. After nasopharyngeal carcinoma treatment, secondary malignant tumors of the nasal cavities in the irradiated zone are extremely rare, with an estimated frequency of 0.15%-0.75%. They are more common in young persons who do not have traditional risk factors. The clinical symptomatology is dominated by nasal obstruction. The major goal of the CT-MRI imaging workup is to figure out the optimal treatment plan. However, histological confirmation of the diagnosis is required. Gastric carcinoma perforation is an uncommon consequence that is often missed during the preoperative stage. Perforation may occur at any stage of cancer, but it is more common in late stages. It can also happen early in the illness. Because of the spilled stomach contents, it produces an acute abdominal syndrome. Diffuse malignant peritoneal mesothelioma (DMPM) and peritoneal carcinomatosis have similar computed tomography imaging features. Peritoneal carcinomatosis is a known metastatic site for many malignancies and particularly gastrointestinal tract and ovarian cancers. Also, DMPM can masquerade as an ovarian epithelial neoplasm, with very similar clinical presentation and an overlap in imaging findings. When no evident primary tumor is detected other than the peritoneal disease, primary malignant mesothelioma should be considered. Since accurate diagnosis is essential for treatment management, the gold standard in differentiating between these two entities lies in histological analysis. Splenic metastasis is extremely rare, and neuroendocrine tumor of the stomach represents one of the rarest primary sources. The present study aimed to describe a rare case of an endocrine tumor of the stomach revealed by a splenic metastasis. We report a rare case of a 40 -year-old who presented a pain in her left hypochondriac, associated to sensation of heaviness. Abdominal ultrasound showed splenomegaly with a large lobulated hyperechoic mass associated to splenic vein thrombosis. A magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) confirming the splenomegaly, containing a large lobulated and heterogeneous mass occupying the almost totality of this organ and invading the venous system. The histological study of this splenic mass demonstrated to secondary splenic location of a grade 1 neuroendocrine tumor. Cholangiocarcinoma is a rare liver tumor with three types: intrahepatic, extrahepatic, and perihilar, which alone account for about 50% of cases. The diagnosis is late with a poor prognosis. Imaging through Bili MRI and CT scan plays an essential role in the classification and staging of tumors for therapeutic management. The diagnosis of autoimmune pancreatitis (AIP) is often difficult as the main differential diagnosis is pancreatic head adenocarcinoma. Some clinical, radiological, serological and histological criteria help in guiding the diagnosis. The serum gamma-globulin IgG4 dosage is the most sensitive and specific marker. The shape of the ductal stenosis in AIP is characteristic. The treatment is based on corticosteroids. The Nutcracker Syndrome is a rare and often unrecognized cause of chronic pelvic pain and left back pain. These symptoms are due to the left renal vein compression between the aorta and the superior mesenteric artery (anterior nutcracker) or between the aorta and the spine (posterior nutcracker). The variety of clinical manifestations make the diagnosis difficult and commonly delayed. Therefore, imaging plays a key role in correcting the diagnosis by confirming the left renal vein stenosis and ruling out any differential diagnosis. Treatment options are discussed by a multidisciplinary team involving urologists, nephrologists and vascular surgeons for each patient. Muscle metastases remain rare as a secondary localization for cancers in general and lung cancer in particular. They are discovered incidentally in most cases and in the advanced stages of cancer. We report the case of a 60-year-old man, followed for squamous cell carcinoma, who was found to have muscle metastases during the follow-up of associated muscle pain. This case highlights the existence of these metastases in lung squamous cell carcinoma, rare as it is, and requires particular attention from practitioners in the follow-up of patients to detect these cases as early as possible and improve patient survival. The papillomatosis is a very rare benign pathology diagnosed histologically with a significant potential for malignant transformation. We report a case a 60-year-old female without comorbidity present the gallbladder papillomatosis without involvement of the intra or extra hepatic biliary tract. Lymphocele formation following pelvic lymphadenectomy is a well-known complication. In this article, we report a 56 years old female patient with a pelvic infected lymphocele fistulised in the sigmoid discovered in imaging 2 months after pelvic surgery. Lymphocele complications are rare and their diagnosis is based on imaging. Metastatic tumors of the nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses are much less common than primary cancer in this location. The clinical symptomatology is not specific. We report a case of frontal metastasis of a 49-year-old patient treated for a rectal adenocarcinoma without other secondary localizations. The treatment is based on radiotherapy or chemotherapy. Pseudomyxoma peritonei with pleural extension is very rare. Dissemination in the pleural cavity can be trans diaphragmatic or hematogenous. Appendicular and ovarian mucinous tumors are the most often involved. Imaging plays an important role in the diagnosis which is confirmed histologically. We report the case of a pseudomyxoma peritonei and pleurii in a 55-year-old female patient who underwent surgery for mucinous adenocarcinoma of the ovary.
