The adoption of online-based learning and the internet has had both a positive impact on students. This study aims to understand how digital literacy, parental mediation, and self-control affects online risk during the Covid-19 pandemic in Indonesia. This paper elaborated a quantitative method with SEM-PLS to raise the comprehension of the phenomenon studied. A questionnaire was voluntarily responded to approximately 300 elementary school students who engaged in online-based learning. The structural equation modeling estimation indicates that digital literacy, parental mediation, and self-control influences online risk. However, parental mediation failed in promoting students' self-control. These findings suggest that both digital literacy and parental mediation needs to be penetrated to reduce the impact of online risk in the teaching and learning process. This is the first step for schools and parents’ alertness in assisting and considering the appropriate and safe media using technology.

This classic discusses the original publication of Dohan Eherenfest et al. on "Classification of platelet concentrates: from pure platelet-rich plasma (P-PRP) to leucocyte- and platelet-rich fibrin (L-PRF)", in which the authors propose four categories of platelet concentrates depending on their leucocyte and fibrin content (P-PRP, leucocyte- and platelet-rich plasma (L-PRP), pure platelet-rich fibrin (P-PRF), and L-PRF) to group a "jungle" of products in which the term platelet-rich plasma (PRP) was used indistinctly. They were able to identify common factors such as: (1) the use of anticoagulants and immediate centrifugation of the blood after its collection; (2) most preparation techniques allowed platelet concentrate preparation within an hour; (3) the centrifugation aimed to separate the blood in layers that would allow the extraction of specific fractions; and (4) the product was activated with thrombin or calcium chloride. The reviewed manuscript has been listed among the most cited PRP articles in regenerative medicine, with more than 800 citations, driving current scientific research and clinical practise by categorising L-PRP and P-PRP (now, leucocyte-poor PRP). The classification has also opened the door to understanding intrinsic biological mechanisms between platelets, leukocytes, fibrin, and growth factors, which will later be considered for studying the proliferation and differentiation of cells in different tissues affected by PRP. Since the initial classification of platelet concentrates, several other classification systems have been proposed and published in the current literature such as platelet, activation, white blood cell (PAW), Mishra, platelet, leucocyte, red blood cells, and activation (PLRA), dose of platelet, efficiency, purity, and activation (DEPA), method, activation, red blood cells, spin, platelets, image guidance, leukocytes, and light activation (MARSPILL), etc. These classifications have identified important aspects of PRP that affect the biological composition and, ultimately, the indications and outcomes. To date, there is still a lack of standardisation in sample preparation, cohort heterogeneity, and incomplete reporting of sample preparation utilised, leading to a lack of clarity and challenging researchers and clinicians., (Copyright © 2023 The Author(s). Despite profound advancements in arthroscopic rotator cuff repair (RCR) techniques, radiologic failure rates may be in excess of 60% with repairs of large and massive tears in the elderly population. One of the strategies to improve these healing rates has been "patch" augmentation of the cuff repair. At the same time, superior capsular reconstruction (SCR) has gained significant popularity as an option for irreparable rotator cuff (RC) tears. Some have also advocated performing SCR in addition to arthroscopic RCR to reinforce the repair and improve healing rates. Techniques involving the use of fascia lata, ECM patches, and long head of the biceps (LHB) for SCR to reinforce the cuff repair have all been elegantly described. In this article, we propose a technique that enables a combination of the aforementioned procedures and involves performing RCR with patch augmentation, as well as SCR using LHB. In doing so, the repaired RC is bordered by the patch over its bursal surface and the LHB on the articular surface (functioning as the superior capsule), thus giving us the name "Hamburger technique" (a 3-layered construct)., (© 2020 by the Arthroscopy Association of North America. In this report, highly crystalline and well-dispersed nano-sized nickel metal organic framework (MOFs) was decorated over graphene oxide (GO) and carbon nanotubes (CNTs) platforms to form hybrid nanocomposites. These as-synthesized hybrid nanocomposites were synthesized through a one-pot green solvothermal method. The prepared nanocomposites were characterized by SEM, TEM, EDS, XRD, FT-IR, Raman and TGA techniques. XRD analysis revealed the crystalline structure of the hybrid nanocomposites. Morphological and elemental studies also verified successful decoration of nickel-benzene dicarboxylate (Ni-BDC) MOFs over GO and CNT platforms. Chemical analysis collected through IR, and thermal analysis collected through TGA technique, illustrated the presence of all the components in the hybrid nanomaterials. Methylene blue (MB) was used as a model organic pollutant to analyze the adsorption capacity of the prepared nanocomposites. According to the findings, a strong interaction exists between the MB molecule and the developed adsorbents at which due to the synergistic effect, the hybrid nanocomposites show several times higher adsorption capacity compared to that of parent materials. This improvement can be due to several reasons: high surface area of the MOFs in the composites resulting from the smaller size of MOFs, presence of the pores formed between the MOFs and the platforms and different morphological characteristic of Ni-BDC MOFs in hybrid nanocomposites, compared to bare Ni-BDC MOFs. Furthermore, the isotherm and kinetic studies revealed that the adsorption of MB onto the newly prepared adsorbents could best be explained by the Langmuir and Pseudo-second order kinetic models. Purpose: To assess the clinical outcomes of unipolar versus bipolar hemiarthroplasty for displaced intracapsular femoral neck fractures in older patients and to report whether bipolar implants yield better long-term functional results., Methods: We searched PubMed, Scopus, EBSCO, and Cochrane Library for relevant randomized clinical trials (RCTs) and observational studies, comparing unipolar and bipolar hemiarthroplasty. Data were extracted from eligible studies and pooled as relative risk (RR) or mean difference (MD) with corresponding 95% confidence intervals (CI) using RevMan software for Windows., Results: A total of 30 studies were included (13 RCTs and 17 observational studies). Analyses included 30,250 patients with a mean age of 79 years and mean follow-up time of 24.6 months. The overall pooled estimates showed that bipolar was superior to unipolar hemiarthroplasty in terms of hip function, range of motion and reoperation rate, but at the expense of longer operative time. In the longer term the unipolar group had higher rates of acetabular erosion compared to the bipolar group. There was no significant difference in terms of hip pain, implant related complications, intraoperative blood loss, mortality, six-minute walk times, medical outcomes, and hospital stay and subsequently cost., Conclusions: Bipolar hemiarthroplasty is associated with better range of motion, lower rates of acetabular erosion and lower reoperation rates compared to the unipolar hemiarthroplasty but at the expense of longer operative time. Both were similar in terms of mortality, and surgical or medical outcomes. Future large studies are recommended to compare both methods regarding the quality of life., (Crown Copyright © 2019. Distal triceps rupture is an uncommon but debilitating injury, and surgical fixation is almost invariably warranted. A number of techniques have been described in the literature in which combinations of transosseous tunnels and bone anchors have been used. We describe a modification to existing techniques-the triceps pulley-pullover technique with all-suture anchors. This technique minimizes bone loss, while maximizing the bone-tendon contact area and creating a double-row repair to optimize strength and healing.

Despite the vast improvement in techniques for arthroscopic rotator cuff surgery, repairs of massive and large tears remain an issue as they are associated with significantly high failure rates, particularly in the elderly population. As a result, there has been a focus of attention to improve rotator cuff repair healing rates. One of the strategies is augmentation of the repair with a patch. Arthroscopic augmentation is, however, technically demanding with challenges in introduction and stabilization of the patch. The purpose of this Technical Note is to describe a technique for arthroscopic rotator cuff repair with augmentation, which offers additional advantages over previous techniques because it facilitates the passage of the patch as well as providing a more robust medial stabilization of the augment and therefore possibly a stronger construct.

Purpose: To assess the efficacy of nerve transfer versus nerve grafting in restoring motor and sensory hand function in patients with complete, isolated high ulnar nerve injuries., Methods: A retrospective chart review was performed, at a minimum 2 years of follow-up, of 52 patients suffering complete, isolated high ulnar nerve injury between January 2006 and June 2013 in one specialized hand surgery unit. Twenty-four patients underwent motor and sensory nerve transfers (NT group). Twenty-eight patients underwent sural nerve grafting (NG group). Motor recovery, return of sensibility and complications were examined as outcome measures. The Medical Research Council scale was applied to evaluate sensory and motor recovery. Grip and pinch strengths of the hand were measured., Results: Twenty of 24 patients (83.33%) in the NT group regained M3 grade or greater for the adductor pollicis, the abductor digiti minimi, and the medial 2 lumbricals and interossei, compared with only 16 of 28 patients (57.14%) in the NG group. Means for percentage recovery of grip strengths compared with the other healthy hand were significantly higher for the NT group than the NG group. Sensory recovery of S3 or greater was achieved in more than half of each group with no significant difference between groups., Conclusions: Nerve transfer is favored over nerve grafting in managing high ulnar nerve injuries because of better improvement of motor power and better restoration of grip functions of the hand., Type of Study/level of Evidence: Therapeutic IV., (Copyright © 2017 American Society for Surgery of the Hand.
