In this study, the fungus strain LS-4.2 isolated from the bottom sediments of Lake Lower Suzdalskoe was tested for its algicidal activity. We identified the strain LS-4.2 as Penicillium canescens summing its morphological characteristics with the reported DNA sequence. We revealed that the filtrate of a 7-day culture of the fungus suppressed the cell growth of toxic Microcystis aeruginosa. Our results showed that the filtrate caused rapid M. aeruginosa growth inhibition up to complete cell lysis recorded after 4 days. Living fungal mycelia did not suppress the growth of cyanobacterium. According to the results of this study we suppose that strain LS-4.2 may be a potential bioagent in the control of cyanobacterial blooms.

The transformation of project management approaches and business processes organization in crisis conditions requires rethinking and supplementing the concept of sustainable construction in terms of the socio-economic component, taking into account an important feature of the investment and construction sector - huge number of disputes and contradictions, the effective resolution of which depends on the successful implementation of projects. The article suggests such an indicator as the degree of conflicts (conflictivity), which should supplement the sustainability indicators, and can be measured on the basis of the following factors: the dynamics of the number of economic disputes, the amount of conciliation agreements concluded at the stage of litigation, the result of consideration of insolvency (bankruptcy) cases, the number of terminated government contracts, business participation in the implementation of major projects, the degree of alternative dispute resolution popularity.

A powder-filled epoxy compound was tested for cavitation wear in the form of bronze particles BraZHNMc9-4-4-1. The particles were obtained by sawing a bronze bar. The composition of the compound was as follows: 100 parts of resin K-153 and 12 parts of hardener (polyethylene polyamine). The specimens were shaped as cylinders, 15.5 and 15 mm in diameter and height, respectively. The tests were carried out with an ultrasonic magnetostrictive vibrator in fresh water at water temperature 20 ± 3 ° C. The frequency and amplitude of oscillations of the vibrator hub end were approximately 22 kHz and 28 μm, respectively. The distance between the end of the concentrator and the end of the specimen wear was set to 0.5 mm. A second-order model describing the cavitation wear as a function of the bronze particle size, its content in the composite and the specific surface area of the particles was constructed by the least-squares method. The cavitation wear of the composite increases with increasing values of these parameters. The greatest influence on composite cavitation wear has the total surface area of bronze microparticles in volume unit.

The main prerequisites for the development of wooden housing construction in Russia are given, which determined the goal of this study - to develop a mathematical model of heat and mass transfer (moisture transfer) in glued timber for rational design of enclosing structures. Lamellas can be classified as a capillary ‒ porous body. leaning on theory of academician A.V. Lykov, the formulation of the problem of heat and mass transfer in a multilayer glued laminated timber is presented a system of equations describing non-stationary heat, mass and pressure transfer under real possible operating conditions of enclosing structures is considered. An analytical method is proposed for calculating both individual lamellas and the entire multilayer glued beam. The proposed technique allows the method of solving the inverse problem to directly calculate the resistance value of the entire bar from the unsteady temperature field. The system of equations describing the process is nonlinear and analytically insoluble. To solve the problem, a combined method for solving boundary value problems of heat transfer was used, which is based on a combination of elements of analytical and numerical solutions. A feature of the problem under consideration is that the middle lamella has heat-conducting inclusions in the form of a bough. Method is that the entire heat transfer process is divided into a number of small time intervals. Within each interval, we assume that the temperature is constant at the interface between layers and a constant heat flux through the contacting surfaces, i.e. perfect thermal contact.

Today, business innovation is a hot topic. Therefore, it was proposed to use a competence-based approach to assess staff as a business innovation in the hotel industry. The paper investigates the theoretical and methodological principles of hotel staff evaluation using a competency-based approach. Scientific approaches are critically estimated, and aspects applied to material incentives management for hotel staff are analyzed. The scientific and theoretical basis of managing the staff’s material stimulation in the hotel business on the basis of the competency approach is investigated and practical tools of its implementation in the hotel business activities are estimated. Methodical approaches to evaluating staff competencies as a component of material incentives management have been developed. The structure of remuneration and the system of bonuses based on staff competencies evaluation have been formed, which will help increase the efficiency of personnel management in the hotel industry.

Water scarcity has a significant impact on plants, quality and quantity of crops. On the soils of the northeast of European Russia, instability of precipitation is one of the main factors negatively affecting barley productivity. To assess the drought tolerance level, we used the RSR (root-to-shoot ratio) indicator, which shows the relative redistribution of fluxes of plastic substances between root and aerial organs. Evaluation of 57 collection accessions of spring barley of various ecological and geographical origins was carried out. As a result of the research, sources of breeding of valuable traits were identified for further breeding work on the creation of barley varieties adaptive to the conditions of the Volga-Vyatka region. The accessions Bonita, Bionic, Cooper, Danuta, 752A, NCL 95098, local sample from India (k-3506), Odessky 115, Rodos, Kazminsky, Polarny 14, Adam, Bear, Medicum 11, Irbe (PR-3528), Mie, 121–13, and C-105 are characterized by resistance to osmotic stress at the early stages of organogenesis. For further breeding work drought-resistant varieties NCL 95098, Cooper, Bonita, Danuta, Mie, Rodos, Kazminsky, Adam, Bear, Medicum 11, Irbe (PR-3528), 752A, Polarny 14, and C-105, distinguished by the elements of plant productivity, are advisable to use taking into account their positive qualities. The rest of the drought-resistant accessions are recommended to be included in crosses with varieties having higher productivity.

Many regions of Russian Federation have serious problems with water supply. Despite the significant water resource potential, including ground, surface and mineral waters, not all the population of the Kemerovo region is provided with clean drinking water. Besides the location of heavy industry enterprises, especially coal mines and pits, within the boundaries of river basins affects the condition and quality of water from different water sources. The purpose of this paper is to provide a research of clean drinking water providing the population of the Kemerovo region-Kuzbass, formulate the main problems and identify possible areas of activity in the field of increasing the availability of clean drinking water for the population of Kemerovo region-Kuzbass.

The present study describes the impact of three quality management principles on the organizational capacity of food industry testing laboratories. The study also intends to create a formalized representation of the effect of organizational and technical factors on the quality of services provided. Based on the statistical assessment of long-term field studies, in competitive variety tests, barley cultivars were identified adaptive to the conditions of the region, promising for transfer to the State variety test. As a result of the studies, a promising breeding material was created. The efficiency of using various methods of creating a new initial material, in particular, the cell culture method, is shown. A statistically significant correlation was established between the value of the hydrothermal coefficient (GTK) in the period “leaf tube formation - heading” and the yield capacity of a cultivar (r = 0.520). High variability (V = 24.4%) in the duration of the inter-stage period “leaf tube formation - heading” was revealed in the cultivars of competitive variety testing. Cultivars 94-13 and 38-15 are distinguished by a high yield potential (up to 6.4… 6.9 t/ha) and the duration of inter-stage periods, at which the main stages of organogenesis occur at the most favorable combination of heat and moisture for the potential development of plant features and properties. Cultivars 207-15, 38-15, and regenerant 550-08, characterized by high annual average yield capacity (5.9…5.7 tons/ha) and adaptability, are promising for transfer to the Russian Federation State variety test.

Gymnadenia conopsea (Fragrant orchid) is a widespread model species for the study of polymorphism in the European part of Russia and abroad. Flow cytometry refers to rapid methods effective for assessing the structure of a population by DNA size estimation. However, this method is only available in habitats with close proximity to the place of the experiment, because this indicator is determined only in fresh leaves. A small population of G. conopsea in the industrial area adjacent to the Novosibirsk urban agglomeration in the Novosibirsk Region (NR) was studied. Only diploids were detected in the G. conopsea cenopopulation occurred in the industrial zone of the NR. In this study we pointed on significance of genome size variation, which correlates with the adaptive evolution of the G. conopsea in West Siberia. The revealed absence of minor cytotypes (individuals with a higher level of ploidy) in G. conopsea population reduces intraspecific and intrapopulation diversity of the species.

The issue of reflecting national mentality in the linguistic worldview continues to be relevant as each people has its own specific mindset and common mood related to moral and ethical features of its formation. The article describes a national concept as a complete combination of thought, religions, cultural traditions, folklore that form a conceptual sphere of a language. Therefore, studying the reflection of national identity in the concepts seems to be essential, as the concept itself is a key category in linguistic research of viewing the world through language. The main purpose of this study is to perform a comparative analysis of conceptual spheres of the Russian and English languages. To achieve this purpose we set several tasks: to characterize peculiarities of expressing the key concepts sovest’/conscience, dobro/good, pravda/truth, krasota/beauty in speech; to identify extralinguistic factors fostering common understanding of the conceptual spheres being analyzed in the Russian and English linguistic worldviews. The article uses a complex research methodology, which combines descriptive and analytical methods, as well as the opposition technique and structural and semantic analysis of a word. The paper concludes that only those connotations of the concepts that become a symbol referring to a certain perspective of national mentality are ethnoculturally essential. In the conceptual spheres of English and Russian, key notions defining value systems of these cultures play a significant role. Evolution of material and spiritual culture is reflected in a concept as a single linguistic unit.

When studying the formation of secondary metabolites represented by phenolic compounds in callus cultures of sunflower plants, it was found that under in vitro conditions under the influence of a stress factor, the accumulation of polyphenols increases. It was found that the biosynthetic activity of callus cultures with respect to polyphenol increases in proportion to the concentration of the culture filtrate of the fungus (Sclerotinia Sclerotiorum) in the nutrient medium. This is confirmed by the qualitative and quantitative determination of the content of polyphenols in callus cultures. In savory plants, when introduced into culture in vitro, there is a sharp decrease in the biosynthesis of phenolic compounds. Ethanol extracts of microclones and callus cultures showed no fungicidal activity.

In this study the results of agrobacterial transformation of Astragalus membranaceus (Fisch. Ex Link) Bunge, a medicinal plant from Mongolia and China with a wide spectrum of pharmacological action were presented. As explants for transformation, in vitro derived microshoots as well as hypocotyls, cotyledons and primary shoots isolated from seedlings were used. The most effective from two tested Agrobacterium rhizogenes strains (A4-RT, 15834 SWISS) was 15834 SWISS, causing the transformation of various types of explants, including primary shoots as a more responsive type. The optimal co-cultivation time of explants with bacterial suspension (48 hours) and the highest transformation rate of primary shoots (36.4%) were established. PCR analysis confirmed the transgenic nature of the roots transformed with strain 15834 SWISS and the absence of bacterial contamination.

In the West Siberia there is very little data on the biology of cenopopulations of Gymnadenia conopsea. Habitat destruction and environmental changes, which potentially affected species long-term viability, led to G. conopsea cenopopulations fragmentation and isolation. A detailed study of the morphology variability of the Fragrant orchid representatives was carried out in the cenopopulation in Novosibirsk region. Our results indicate that asymbiotic germination of G. conopsea seeds is difficult to achieve and the species has serious conservation issues. It is the first report when the introduction of G. conopsea in tissue culture was undertaken as the initial stage of germplasm conservation of Siberian cenopopulation. Three modified nutrient media with different growth additives were tested to promote protocorm and seedling formation. The advanced G. conopsea seedlings establishment was obtained in 1/3 Murashige and Skoog (MS) medium, supplemented by 1.0 mgl−1 2-isopentenyladenine (2iP), 0.1 mgl−1 1-Naphthaleneacetic acid (NAA) and 10% coconut water. This study allowed establishing a reliable and reproducible system for the G. conopsea maintenance and conservation ex situ.

In the current economic situation, the solution to the problems of diversification of mining regions is relevant not only in terms of economic outcome, but also the need to change the ecological situation in industrial regions towards its improvement. Diversification of the region’s economy is associated with the idea of expanding the range of economic activities and considered as a mechanism to reduce risks and mono-dependence of the regional economy. The study suggests that tourism could become one of the areas of diversification and greening of the mining region economy by the example of the Kemerovo region. The structure of the GRP and individual indicators characterizing the state of the tourism sector were analyzed to assess the impact of tourism on the diversification of the economy of the Kemerovo region. Despite the fact that the total share of the tourism sector has changed slightly over the 5 years, its multiplier effect has a positive impact on the state of the service sector and the economy of the entire region. It was confirmed by the results of the analysis. The optimistic scenario for the development of the Kemerovo region determines the large role of tourism in the diversification and greening of the region’s economy. The implementation of the conservative scenario that provides the supportive development of traditional sectors, does not exclude opportunities for the development of tourism, which will ensure the effective and long-term sustainable development of the Kuzbass.

For the first time light and scanning electron microscopy have been to reveal changes in the anatomical structure of leaf blades of Fragaria × ananassa Duch. regenerants cultivated in nutrient media supplemented with biogenic silica and green-tea-flavonoids-based mechanocomposite. An increase in the density of stomata per unit area of the leaf, size of the stomatal gaps, thickness of the epidermis and mesophyll have been noted. The revealed changes in the leaf blade structure under mechanocomposite treatment contribute to the further successful acclimatization of regenerants to ex vitro conditions.

The main goal of the article is to show the influence of the age-sex structure of the population on the basic demographic processes in the Kemerovo region. During research the authors have established correlation links between the sex-age structure of the population and the main demographic indicators (birth and mortality rate, morbidity rate, migration and others) based on the analysis of official statistical data. The direct influence of internal and external factors on the age-sex structure of the population is revealed. Conclusions about the impact of demographic processes on the sex-age structure of the population of the Kemerovo region are drawn.
