This study report performed a thorough data-driven analysis to evaluate the economic sustainability of smart home investments in the quickly changing residential living scene. The research provided a comprehensive view of the financial ramifications of implementing smart home technology by taking into account initial investment costs, energy savings, maintenance and operating expenditures, and user satisfaction. The results show a considerable potential for improved user happiness and energy savings, which supports the financial viability of smart home investments. The findings highlight the multifarious significance of these technologies in establishing more practical and efficient living environments and provide insightful information for policymakers, industry stakeholders, and homeowners.

Based on previous research of theory and methodology, authors describe and systematize the triune process of motion, ordering and qualitive and quantitative transformations ща the development process resource flows from the externally chaotic resource surrounding at macro-, meso, and micro-resource levels, to the organized project organizational and technological stages. Characteristics of different flows located at different resource levels and project stages of project life cycles from initiation through implementation, modernization and demolition of the assets were provided according to the “order of multipole various resource flow processes from their chaos” paradigm. Authors determined sources and ends of the unordered and ordered resource flow processes in course of project life cycles, defined conditions for process ordering and transformations at each resource level and project life cycle stage, and outlined goals, interests, tasks and areas of responsibility for development project stakeholders at different project life cycle stages. Authors perform analysis and forecasting of resource flow management processes for different project life cycle processes and resource levels based on the logistic relay model, and according to the proposed methodology of managing resource flow “triad” of flow motion, ordering, and transformations is a common spatial and temporal field of resource logistics.

Russia’s national food security is formed in the new conditions of interstate interaction in the markets of agro-industrial complex products. Historically, the country is the largest exporter of grain, the production of which forms the basis of the Russian agro-industrial complex. Grain production volumes are a new factor in modeling the country’s food security and independence in the world agricultural markets. Growing volumes of grain exports from Russia ensure the profit of the industry’s enterprises and sustainability of territorial development of the regions. The country is provided with basic foodstuffs of both plant and animal origin by 85-90%. At the same time there is still a problem of uneven distribution of production on the territory itself, there is still a problem with the shortage of processing and storage facilities, qualified specialists for work in rural areas. The emerging difficulties in logistics, supplies, market closures in 2022 were successfully overcome and new routes for the export of Russian food raw materials were formed.

In the Amur region (Russian Federation), the extent of wear and tear of engineering heating networks was 21 percent as of the year-end 2022, which was an average value for this region. In some cities of the region under study wear and tear reaches 72 percent. The current wear and tear of utility infrastructure systems substantially degrades the quality of utility services provided to the population and boosts the percentage of heat losses and accidents in heat networks. The goal of the research project is to devise an action plan to reduce the rate of accidents and the wear and tear of heat networks in the Amur region of the Russian Federation by developing a concession mechanism focused on upgrading utility infrastructure systems. Logical analysis of the regulatory legal framework, as well as analysis of qualitative and quantitative values of utility infrastructure systems (heat networks in the Amur region). The need for the mechanism of concession agreements was substantiated as a means of upgrading utility infrastructure systems. Actions are proposed to boost the funding of repair and replacement of utility infrastructure systems in the Russian Federation.

In the article the authors explore the critical intersection between renewable energy integration and agricultural practices to address the pressing need for sustainability in the farming industry. With the agricultural sector being a significant consumer of energy and a contributor to greenhouse gas emissions, the article emphasizes the potential of renewable energy sources—such as solar, wind, biomass, and geothermal energy—to not only reduce carbon footprints but also to enhance the economic viability of farms. The authors provide a comprehensive analysis of various renewable energy technologies, assessing their applicability, benefits, and challenges within the agricultural context. The paper highlights case studies and real-world examples where renewable energy projects have been successfully implemented on farms, demonstrating improvements in energy efficiency, cost savings, and resilience against fluctuating energy prices. Furthermore, it discusses the policy frameworks and incentives necessary to encourage the adoption of renewable energies in agriculture. The article concludes by emphasizing the role of innovation and policy support in scaling up renewable energy use in the sector, thereby contributing to a more sustainable and environmentally friendly agricultural future.

Forecast scenarios of scientific and technological development of the national economy are adaptively written off in the paradigm of technological patterns and progressive development of industries. The AIC becomes one of the supporting industries actively generating and implementing the production process of new biotechnological production solutions in the trend of green development. The tendencies of future forecast of biotechnologies application and growth of demand for products with new qualitative characteristics are considered. The conclusions are drawn about the growth of activity with regard to the search and development of fundamentally new approaches to the production and processing of AIC products.

Modern economic models based on constant production of goods and products based on primary resources have led to the problem of accumulation of unnecessary fractions, waste, and reduction of natural resources. The environment is under anthropogenic pressure and is subject to biodiversity decline due to anthropogenic processes. The time has come for a paradigm shift in the worldview of man's place in the environment and his attitude to its use. The accumulated stocks of production and consumption waste should be rationally applied as secondary resources in other industries. To this end, the paper presents new technological solutions within the concept of cyclic economy for the processing of waste from the AIC sphere.

Modern digitalization opportunities are very broad and cover the entire agricultural sector. The paper considers the potential of digital transformation of production, the goals and economic benefits of digitalization for agricultural producers. The authors studied the four main directions of digitalization of production processes in the agro-industrial complex. The financial support of the project of digitalization of agriculture, the structure of funding in the dynamics over a number of years, including at the expense of the region were analyzed. The paper identifies the problems of digitalization of small businesses, the digital divide between urban and rural areas. The authors formulated the main external and internal tasks of the digital transformation of the agro-industrial complex, which will provide a highly efficient production in the future.

Organic agriculture is a dynamically developing area of the global agro-industrial complex. Global climate problems and the depletion of natural resources across the planet dictate the need to review the food production technologies used. Excessive intensification of agricultural production through soil mineralization and fertilization, hormonal stimulation of animal and plant growth has led to the deterioration of water, soil, air quality and overall health. Therefore, the problem of reducing the anthropogenic impact on the environment is the main trend of implementing the principles of organic production. The paper developed recommendations for the strategic development of the Russian market of organic production within the framework of the current EAEU agreement. Conclusions were made on the expansion of instruments of state incentives for the development of organic agricultural production in a changing world economic relations and integration.

It is known that currently one of the most significant challenges in the field of construction and housing and communal services, is to improve the comfort and affordability of housing, to improve the quality of urban environment. This is also evidenced by the relationship between strategic plans for the period up to 2030 and the activities of the national project “Housing and Urban Environment”. This article analyses the level of citizens’ life quality of the Russian Federation in urban agglomerations and approaches to its assessment. In the framework of the study it has been revealed that nowadays the main indicator for assessing the quality of life is the index of urban environment quality, which consists of 6 indicators assessed according to 6 criteria. The authors decided to also consider the main environmental and economic indicator, expressed as an assessment of damage from environmental pollution, which includes 4 components. Preliminary the results of the conducted research determine the necessity of identifying the most significant criteria (and their sub-criteria) in order to develop an integrated approach to their assessment. As a comprehensive approach, the authors propose a multi-criteria evaluation methodology that includes expert opinion and consideration of weighting coefficients depending on the importance of a particular criterion. Within the framework of this article, the authors propose to test the proposed multi-criteria approach on the most significant space - housing and the surrounding area. The obtained results influence the positive decision to conduct further research for all the spaces included in the current methodology of the urban environment quality index assessment.

In this article, we have presented studies of the local irritating effect of a prototype wound-healing preparation based on water-based fatty acid esters with allantoin. The study of local irritant action included use of extreme dilutions of the drug for intradermal and local use in the induction and provocative phases. The assessment was carried out in points, in the experimental group it was on average 1 point, in control animals on average it was also equal to 1. These studies indicate that the composition has a mild skin reaction of sensitized guinea pigs and does not cause an allergic reaction.

Successful treatment of veterinary infectious diseases in the context of widespread use of antibiotic therapy depends on the effectiveness of the drugs used to contain or destroy the etiological agent. It is generally accepted that the resistance of microorganisms to antimicrobial agents is variable, including due to the horizontal movement of resistance with the help of mobile genetic elements. Antimicrobial susceptibility pattern analysis is an important component of the diagnosis and treatment of veterinary diseases. The article describes a study that includes isolation and identification of microorganisms from samples taken from pathological material of pigs and the analysis of sensitivity to eleven antimicrobial drugs by the disk-diffusion method.

The idea of this study is based on the assumption that the reason for the unjustified application of the criminal law provisions on accounting by law enforcement agencies when punishing various variants of positive post-criminal behaviour, which are varieties of atonement of the harm caused by a crime, is a lack of attention to the nature of atonement as one of the indicators of positive changes in the legal consciousness of a person who has committed a crime, that is, an insufficiently thorough assessment of the characteristics of the personality of the perpetrators, the degree of rooting of antisocial attitudes in their minds, as well as the level of assimilation of legal values and ideals of law-abiding behaviour. The purpose of the study is to identify and study the aspects of the content of the term “atonement of harm” in the meaning provided for in clause “k” part 1 of Art. 61 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, taking into account the interpretation of the corresponding varieties of positive post-criminal behavior as an indicator of a change in the legal consciousness of a person who has committed a credit fraud. The study is based on the widespread use of the formal legal research method in conjunction with the philological, systemic and logical methods of interpreting regulations. A comprehensive analysis of the content of various types of atonement of the harm caused by a crime as the indicators of positive changes in the legal consciousness of a person who committed credit fraud was carried out for the first time. The results of this study can be used to improve the practice of application of criminal-legal means of accounting for positive post-criminal behavior in the form of atonement when imposing punishment not only on credit fraudsters, but also on persons who have committed other crimes. The author’s concept of the criteria that form the content of the varieties of making amends is presented herein.

Polysilicon-on-oxide (POLO) passivating contacts and interdigitated back-contact (IBC) cell technologies have recently attracted a lot of interest as candidates for the implementation in the next generation of solar cells. An IBC cell with POLO junctions for both polarities − a POLO2-IBC cell − has to electrically isolate the highly defective p+ and n+ poly-Si regions on the rear side of the cell to avoid parasitic recombination. Inserting an initially undoped, intrinsic (i) region between the p+ and n+ poly-Si regions was demonstrated to successfully prevent the parasitic recombination in the transition region of ISFH's 26.1%-efficient POLO2-IBC cell. In order to further improve the conversion efficiency towards 27%, we apply hydrogen-donating dielectric layer stacks to the p+-(i)-n+ POLO interdigitating rear side to enhance the passivation quality of the POLO junctions. We indeed show a significant improvement of POLO junctions on symmetrical full-area homogenously doped reference samples, but when we apply a hydrogen-donating layer stack on the p+-(i)-n+ POLO interdigitating rear side, we observe a strong degradation in the performance of the POLO2-IBC cell. We attribute this to the formation of a conductive channel between the p+ and n+ poly-Si regions due to the strong negative charge density of the hydrogen-donating layer stack.

The article touches upon the relevant problems of modern psychological and pedagogical science: support for and development of gifted school students, psychological resources of personality, and emotional intelligence. At present, the problem of the features of emotional intelligence development in gifted students is theoretically and empirically underexplored within the framework of the resource approach. The goal of the study is to research the features of the development of emotional intelligence as a psychological resource in gifted adolescent school students. The following methods were used: emotional intelligence questionnaire, resilience test, D. Raven’s Progressive Matrix Scale; methods of mathematical statistics (analysis of variation, correlation analysis, etc.). The first part of the article presents an overview of studies on the problem of psychological resources and emotional intelligence, the current state of research in these fields is outlined, and the understudies issues and prospects for further studies are indicated. The empirical part presents the study results, the analysis of which reveals the specific features of emotional intelligence development in gifted adolescents compared to regular students. The obtained data indicate certain problems associated with the underdevelopment of emotional intelligence and its components in gifted adolescents which calls for further research and consideration in practical work with gifted students. The provided results of correlation analysis demonstrate a statistically significant association between the indicators of emotional intelligence and resilience. The obtained results point to the need for further study of the specifics of emotional intelligence and the opportunities for its development in gifted and non-gifted school students.

According to Meadows' model, the main factor that determines the limits to the growth of the human civilization is the agricultural sector of the planet, the latter, however, significantly pollutes the environment and togather with other factors contributes much to global warming. A half of all the habitable land is used for agriculture. Unless the efficiency of agriculture is fundamentally improved and the amount of waste generated as a result, is reduced, a global catastrophe may befall in 30–50 years. Whereas agrarian “garbage” may not be just the waste that pollutes the environment, it can decrease the burden on the environment by being the raw material for fertilizers, feed or fuel manufacturing. Modern digital technologies can improve the efficiency of agriculture, organize low-waste or non-waste production and that will enable people to diminish the pollution of the environment and push away the limits to the growth of human civilization. The developed countries are using digital technologies more and more intensively to increase agricultural productivity and, at the same time, reduce both environmental pollution with agricultural waste and disruption of the ecological balance. The digitalization of agricultural business, the use of geoinformation technologies, drones, robots, artificial intelligence and other technologies of the digital society help to push the limits to the growth of human civilization away into the future.

The study aims to identify the features of the functional state of physically gifted children 5-6 years old with a high level of development of aerobic capacity under conditions of cognitive loads performed at different speeds. The authors used tests based on Anfimov’s letter tables as models of intense cognitive load. The examination was carried out at rest and while working at a comfortable speed and the maximal possible speed. Based on the results of the tasks, the speed and productivity of work, indicators of the psychophysiological cost of activity were calculated. Using the Luscher test, the level of situational anxiety was assessed and the coefficient of autonomic tone was determined. To diagnose the emotional state, the Lutoshkin technique was used. The tension of the systems of autonomous and central regulation of physiological functions was measured based on temporal analysis of the heart rhythm. Systolic and diastolic blood pressure, pulse and mean pressure, double product, Kerdo vegetative index, Myznikov index, and functional changes index were also calculated. A complex indicator of the development of aerobic capacity was found, taking into account the power, capacity, and efficiency of an aerobic source of energy supply to muscles. Based on the sigma scale, 7 gradations for assessing the development of aerobic abilities were identified, namely, very low, low, below average, average, above average, high, very high (above M + 2.0σ). The results obtained show that psychophysiological changes in the functional state during intense cognitive load in children aged 5-6 years largely depend on the development of aerobic capacity. It was found that physically gifted preschoolers with a high level of development of aerobic capacity were distinguished by optimally reduced activity during a calm wakeful state and less pronounced psychophysiological reactivity in conditions of intense cognitive load. They were characterized by increased efficiency of activity and its low psychophysiological cost in combination with increased adaptive potential of the organism.

In the Sverdlovsk region, holstinized black-and-white cattle of the Ural type is bred, which is represented by large, highly productive animals with a high genetic potential for productivity. The purpose of the work is to study the dynamics of live weight of cows with age and its relationship with milk productivity. In animals, there is an increase in live weight with age by 22.6 kg (from 3 to 4 lactation) – 46.2 kg (from the first to the 2 lactation) or by 3.4 – 7.9%. With an increase in live weight, there was an increase in milk yields up to 3 lactation, and then their decrease. The greatest decrease was observed in the fifth lactation. The coefficient of milk production decreases with the age of cows and is accompanied by an increase in live weight. Despite an increase in live weight and a decrease in milk yield for every 100 kg of live weight of cows, all of them turned out to be of dairy-oriented productivity. However, it should be noted that achieving a live weight of 710 kg or more leads to a decrease in the efficiency of cow use. There is a low negative relationship between live weight and milk yield of cows.

In modern conditions of intensification of agriculture the industrial animal breeding involves the use of antibacterial drugs aimed at the prevention of infectious diseases. However, uncontrolled use of antibiotics leads to the selection of antibiotic-resistant strains, it should be noted that the treatment of diseases caused by these strains is difficult. Insect peptides have a barrier function and are able to protect the macroorganism from various pathogenic agents. In this study the original method of isolating protein fractions from the biomass of insect G. mellonella and M. domestica larvae was developed. The 19 protein fractions (PF) were obtained and their antimicrobial activity was studied as related to S. aureus ATCC 6538 (209-P), S. typhimurium 1626, C. albicans РКПГY –401/NCTC–885-653, B. cereus ATCC 10702. It was found that protein fractions No. 2, 2.3, 2.6, 3.4, 3.6 had antimicrobial activity as related to S. aureus ATCC 6538 (209-P); protein fractions No. 2, 2.6, 3.2, 3.6 inhibited the growth of S. typhimurium 1626; protein fractions No. 2, 2.3, 2.6, 3.3, 3.6 had an inhibiting effect on C. albicans РКПГY-401/NCTC-885-653, PF 2, 2.6, 3.2, 3.6, 3.7 had antimicrobial activity as related to B. cereus ATCC 10702.

In the present study, the biomaterial specimen derived from a farm animal with a chronic reproductive system infection was carefully investigated using the Next Generation Sequencing method. The bacterial DNA of the genus Enterobacter was detected. The genetic determinants of resistance to 12 classes of antibiotics were identified in the genome of this microorganism. The data obtained highlight the necessity of strengthening global control over the spread of resistant microorganism strains in agriculture especially in the animal husbandry sector.

The purpose of the article is to present the design decisions used in the construction of the extended main trunk sewer of the North in St Petersburg. One of its key elements is the siphon, a unique structure in engineering practice for optimal and safe water disposal system. Its special feature is in the arrangement of connections in the pits of the trunk sewer header portion. For the purpose of investigation it had to describe the general situation relative to sewerage network in the city. Following this, a precondition, which determined the structure design as the optimum for movement of effluent, is presented. Further, author concludes that the new pit structures using composite materials made it possible to complete construction of the trunk sewer on schedule and by means of it to move to purification works practically all of the city’s effluents (98, 4%) and realize the goal of steady economic development. Then author shows that it is necessary source control techniques be designed to counter increased discharge of water. It should to provide in the buildings power saving technologies, the hot water recirculation systems, modernize the existing hot water supply facilities, and to install low-cost highly efficient small heat exchangers instead of obsolete locally based boilers and just only of increasing the norms, coefficients and tariffs. Hence it appears that the multi-objective sewer system optimization provides more rational and practical solutions to avoid sewer overflows, reduce risks to public health and to protect the environment from water pollution.

This article presents the results of studying and improving the self-regulation of gifted adolescents. The authors have developed a special program of psychological and pedagogical support for adolescents with literary talents in order to improve their self-regulation. This program was tested at the “Sirius” Educational center for gifted children created by the “Talent and Success” Educational Foundation in Sochi. The authors used V.I. Morosanova’s concept of self-regulation for testing and forming the above-mentioned program. The study results demonstrate an increase in the self-regulation of gifted adolescents, whose main components are as follows: the ability to plan, model, evaluate and adjust mental states and actions to achieve certain goals.

The article describes the methods of contemporary daylight factor’ (D.F.) design either with top or side natural lighting systems in buildings. The different methods of design, with different design formulas are based on preliminary determination of the type of lighting system used. But this division is rather conditional and not accurate. Sometimes the source of natural light (say, a window in a wall), which traditionally is judged as a source of a side light, is placed higher, than a monitor or skylight on a roof, which usually are determined as a sources of a top light. The same situation can be seen in determination of an angle of observation of a sky vault portion, observed from a design point within the premise considered. Thus, taking into account the above mentioned statements, one can assume, that with no strict division of external natural illumination under the overcast sky conditions, adopted as a basic theory in contemporary domestic «Codes and Regulations on Natural Lighting of Interiors», it is necessary to offer an universal design formula. This one should be based on standard formulas with respect to specific points, typical either to elements of window, monitor or skylight structures.

The paper deals with professional linguistic identity, the study of which is the priority area of cognitive terminology studies. The purpose of the paper is to analyze the development stages of professional linguistic identity of a mining engineer dealing with tailing dams and embankments and failures and accidents on them. The analysis of a mining engineer professional linguistic identity formation was carried out according to the three level system: 1) the level of specialist professional consciousness; 2) the verbal level; 3) the motivation and pragmatic level. As the result of this investigation the term system structure was developed, which showed the formation of professional linguistic identity. The final stage of professional linguistic identity formation is the script construction. The analyzed stages highlight that development and activity of professional linguistic identity reflect connections of a person with his/hers professional activity, and peculiarities of the person mentality prescribe priority ways of conceptualization and categorization of the world. The result is professional discourse which demonstrates professional qualities of professional linguistic identity.

In this article, the authors present the results of the analysis of the key components of the natural-territorial complex (NTC) of the city, or the territory, natural, and natural-economic systems of the city. Under the conditions of urban development of the territory, the natural-territorial complex of the city undergoes anthropogenic impact, existing natural systems are modified, internal interconnections are broken, new ones are being formed for the purpose, content and functioning of natural-economic systems, and natural and anthropogenic risks can be manifested. The current conflict between natural and anthropogenic subsystems requires a comprehensive and integrated approach to their assessment [1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7]. The authors proposed a methodology according to which the level of sustainability of the natural-territorial complex of the city of Tyumen in terms of its urbanization is determined. The methodology includes a hierarchy analysis method, a comprehensive assessment, cluster analysis, sociocultural research, a cartographic method, and a modeling method [5, 8, 9, 10, 11]. The analysis includes ten planning areas (districts) of the city: Bereznyakovsky (1), Tarmansky (2), Parfenovsky (3), Zatyumensky (4), Zarechny (5), Central (6), Gilevsky (7), Verkhneborsky (13), Mysovsky (14), Novoroshchinsky (15). The assessment is presented in more detail on the example of two districts – Central and Zarechny (Fig. 2).

The article provides an analysis of construction influence on the environment, the environment-forming function of the construction activity has also been studied. The assessment of environmental factors has been made on the basis of interdisciplinary approach. The conducted assessment of state and dynamics of eco-economic interaction between the construction activity and the environment, the basis of sustenance of the urban and agricultural economy in Russia, has demonstrated the investment potential of production of the construction materials. However, the raw materials are mined by the open pit; the lands of agricultural purpose get requisitioned for the pits. All this shows an ecological inefficiency of the construction industry growing from year to year. A direct demolition of natural eco-systems in the local areas contradicts the attractiveness of ecological construction in the framework of movement to the sustainable development of the country. The system “construction – vital activities environment” has been reviewed as an eco-economic equilibrium, as a criterion of the authentic system-level development. It is necessary to increase the quality of ecological monitoring. The performed analytical helps to come to a conclusion that notwithstanding the developed basic provisions of institutional policy a negative impact of construction on the environment impedes the development of ecologically-oriented investment and construction activity and sustainable development of the country.

The author's approaches to the feasibility of applying an excess-profits tax from hydrocarbon production to various types of deposits are reflected. The possibility of applying this tax in the operation of an oil field at the final stage of development is studied. A comparative assessment of the technical and economic performance of the field under consideration under the current and new tax regimes was carried out. Based on the modeling of scenarios for the development of the world oil market, its parameters have been determined, under which the development of the field using the new tax regime will ensure economic and budgetary efficiency.

The article deals with the e-learning environment at T.F. Gorbachev State Technical University. The authors describe their experience of English teaching in e-learning environment at non-linguistic university. The reason of e-learning integration into the engineering students teaching is to increase the efficiency and quality of education for bachelor, master and postgraduate degree students. English teaching and students’ independent work are based on blended learning principals because this model helps to achieve the required level of foreign language skills and learning quality. The method of English teaching in e-learning environment consists of three stages. The first stage is incorporation of blended learning principles and structure development of an e-course for technical English teaching; the second stage is the experimental model of the e-course design and its integration into educational process; and the third stage is development of principles to increase students’ motivation and forming their self-education skills. The paper gives the results of the experiment carried out at the foreign languages department of T.F. Gorbachev Kuzbass State Technical University since 2014 to 2019 academic years.

The present paper substantiates the relevance of scientific and methodological developments that allow correctly checking the compliance of actual energy efficiency indicators of residential buildings with specified parameters. The contradictions of the aims and economic interests of suppliers and end users of energy resources were revealed. The paper reasons the need to develop and implement a set of organizational and economic measures, which should be aimed at inducing individuals, developers, construction contractors and enterprises and the building materials industry, as well as at changing the current system of performance indicators of the Ministry of Energy of Russia, natural monopolies and resource-supplying companies.

The article observes the new approach to a lighting environment in premises of civil buildings in hot and sunny climatic conditions. Under such conditions, the use of sun-protective devices (SPD) of different types and geometrics becomes traditional way of passive climate control in interiors. However, the authors determined, that the most traditional types of external SPD (such as canopies or awnings) have a different effect on indoor lighting environment due to the conditions of external natural illumination under overcast sky vault or clear sky conditions. In the first case, the stationary SPD act as shadowing elements, which block the light flows from the CIE standard overcast sky. In the second case, which corresponds to a clear sky sunny conditions, such SPD block the solar radiation, decreasing overheating and reflect sun beams to an interior, increasing the value of daylight factor (DF) at least in the furthest from windows areas of a premise. The proposed solutions allow reducing electric power consumption in buildings.

Natural limestone is subjected to negative impact of external factors, such as rain and low air temperature. One of the ways to improve the properties of limestone is considered in the paper, which is its treatment with Oxal NK100 compound. A review of the literature regarding the problem of durability and the use of limestone is presented. The water absorption and freeze-thaw resistance of the rock was determined experimentally before and after processing with a stone reinforcing compound. The analysis of the obtained data is conducted and conclusions about the effectiveness of the Oxal NK100 composition are drawn.

The article deals with the typical problems of natural lighting in the public premises of different types situated at the ground floors of buildings, in which shops, social institutions, banks and post offices, etc. can be located. The problems of natural lighting of such premises are associated with the use of windows as a screen for various types of information - from advertising billboards to the display of goods, etc. In this case, the efficient area of windows is reduced dramatically. This leads to a decrease in the values of the coefficient of daylight and, consequently, to an increase in the cost of electricity aimed at constant additional interior lighting. The authors suggest an optimum method of balancing the informative and lighting performance of window openings in the premises in question. The results of field studies and decisions about the internal illumination are given to confirm the minimum acceptable window size required to maintain both satisfactory interior lighting and minimum power consumption.

Modern construction is accompanied by the active appearance of various technical, technological and other solutions. In pursuit of efficiency growth, various required parameters do not always correspond with the sustainability standards of the construction unit and in prospect cause a large negative effect for real estate users. The paper exposes an analysis of urban planning solutions from the point of comfort of the living environment, as well as a proposal on the methodology for calculating the complex indicator of a comfortable living environment. In addition, the modern scientific data on ecology is analyzed, a particular attention is paid to environmental monitoring in construction. The comfort indicators of the urban environment are structured in order to determine actual trends and needs for the optimal development of urban complexes.

The educational 110 kV step-down substation in the scale of 1/10 is intended for material supplementation of educational processes in higher education institutions training power industry specialists. Lack of continuous and unlimited access of students to power facilities as well as absence of an opportunity to carry out any practical activities there results in severe deficiency in practical knowledge and skills among students. To solve this problem operating material models of substations and separate power equipment were created, both as the visual aid and as laboratory unit scaled in size. The actually operating substation in the scale of 1/10 allows performing and practicing a wide range of educational activities such as designing, constructing, installing, routine switching, etc.

The main rationale and objective of the submitted research work is to create a quality lighting environment in the premises of deepened buildings and below-ground structures under screen effect of high-rise construction (high-rise buildings). It is noted, that in modern megapolises, a deficiency of vacant urban territories leads to the increased density of urban development with increased amount of high-rise construction and tendency to increase efficiency in the use of underground space. The natural lighting of premises in underground buildings and structures is the most efficient way, but it can be implemented only under use of roof lighting system in the form of roof monitors or skylights. In this case the levels of indoor natural lighting will be affected with serious screening effect of high-rise buildings in surrounding development. Such an situation is not regulated, or even considered by the contemporary building Codes and Regulations on natural lighting of interiors. The authors offered a new formula for a daylight factor calculation with roof lighting system in the described cases. The results of theoretical calculations and experimental studies showed very similar values. This proved the truth of the offered formula and elaborated method of calculation on the basis of an offered hypothesis. It prooves, that it is possible to use some factor and guide points in the daylight factors design under system of side natural lighting in the same design for a system of roof lighting.

Condition and problems of housing legislation in ensuring of the complex development of the territories in Russia in general and in Moscow region, in particular. Proved the necessity of the concentration of intellectual and financial resources of the legislator on the elaboration of organizational-economic mechanisms of realization of already created economic-legal environment of functioning and development of the housing market. Offered measures in the field of improvement of the legislation can stabilize the housing market significantly.

Quasar 3C 279 is known to exhibit episodes of optical polarization angle rotation. We present new, well-sampled optical polarization data for 3C 279 and introduce a method to distinguish between random and deterministic electric vector position angle (EVPA) variations. We observe EVPA rotations in both directions with different amplitudes and find that the EVPA variation shows characteristics of both random and deterministic cases. Our analysis indicates that the EVPA variation is likely dominated by a random process in the low brightness state of the jet and by a deterministic process in the flaring state.
