The research aims to assess the impact of implementing the Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (FCTC) in Indonesia, which has one of the highest smoking rates worldwide. Utilizing a systematic literature review, the study analyzes global case studies and local tobacco control policies. The results suggest that the adoption of FCTC strategies, including raising tobacco taxes, enforcing comprehensive advertising bans, and establishing smoke-free environments, could significantly benefit public health and the economy. These benefits are evidenced by decreased healthcare expenses, reduced smoking rates, and enhanced economic productivity. Although there might be short-term economic challenges, the research supports that the long-term advantages of implementing the FCTC in Indonesia surpass these initial costs, making a strong argument for the adoption of these regulations. more...

Increasing global pollution and resources scarcity problems in marketplaces have resulted in Green Supply Chain Management (GSCM) being placed as one of the most important themes of corporate strategies. This study explores GSCM and its relationship with sustainable supply chain management (SSCM) in the context of further directing a stream of future research on such dynamic and vital topic. We employ a bibliometric analysis to trace the dynamics of knowledge production in GSCM, specifically looking at its most salient research themes, trends and thought leaders within the field. The information used was obtained from the Scopus database, with a total of 234 documents coming out in years comprising 2020–2024. The analysis finds interesting themes like green practices integration, supply chain resilience and technology role in GSCM’s global application. This study evaluates the efficacy of digital influencers in brand endorsement through electronic Word-of-Mouth (eWOM). It probes the influence of perceived influence, brand engagement, and expected brand value on purchase intention and the potential moderation of these by gender roles. The study, analyzing responses from 197 participants via a Structural Equation Model (SEM) with SmartPLS, reveals interesting findings. The perceived influence is found to positively and significantly affect both brand engagement and expected brand value. However, brand engagement did not significantly affect expected brand value. Both brand engagement and expected brand value positively impacted purchase intention. However, perceived influence and gender interactions with brand engagement, perceived influence, and expected brand value do not significantly affect purchase intention. This study examines the roles of board composition, firm size, and earnings manipulation in determining firm value within the context of the LQ45 index, which comprises the 45 most liquid stocks in the Indonesian Stock Exchange. This study involves 45 companies listed in the LQ45 index. The number of samples in this study was 45 companies covering 5 years of data, so the overall number of observations was 225 company years. The findings reveal that independent commissioners and board size have significant positive effects on firm value, while the Corporate Governance Perception Index (CGPI) is not significant. Additionally, the study demonstrates that firm size significantly influences firm value. Earnings manipulation is found to mediate the relationship between corporate governance, firm size, and firm value. These results highlight the importance of board composition and firm size in creating value for stakeholders and emphasize the need to understand better and monitor earnings manipulation practices. This research examines the intersection of disruptive technologies specifically blockchain, AI, and Big Data with corporate governance, synthesizing insights from a diverse range of scholarly works. This research employed a comprehensive literature review methodology. We sourced and analyzed scholarly articles and papers from prominent databases, focusing on key themes such as the impact of these technologies on corporate governance, potential benefits, and associated challenges. We investigate the implications of these technologies on corporate governance, scrutinizing potential benefits and associated challenges. Our findings reveal that blockchain, with its potential to enhance transparency and reduce information asymmetry, promises to transform accounting and auditing practices. Nevertheless, the successful integration of blockchain into mainstream financial systems necessitates addressing technical and regulatory challenges. AI's potential to augment decision-making capabilities offers opportunities for improved auditing efficiency, yet raises ethical concerns and implementation complexities. Lastly, Big Data presents opportunities for driving sustainable innovation and informed decision-making, while posing significant challenges concerning data privacy and security. This study's findings carry implications for practitioners, policy-makers, and academics alike, providing critical insights into the dynamic interplay between disruptive technologies and corporate governance. Nowadays, the coffee shop industry has experienced significant growth and popularity in recent years. With the rise of coffee drinking culture and the increasing demand for coffee, coffee shops have become an important part of the urban landscape. This study examines the role of the marketing mix in enhancing better customer satisfaction services in the coffee shop industry. This research used the path analysis method with a quantitative approach. The sampling technique used was the purposive sampling method. The research data was collected by using a questionnaire with 320 respondents who had visited 9 coffee shops listed on the Indonesia Travel website. This formula used to calculate the number of respondents in this study uses a sample size of ten times the rule. This research analysis tool uses SEM-PLS. The result of this study shows that of the seven variables studied, the variables of price, location, promotion, personnel, and premises facilities had no significant effect, while the variables of service quality and service process significantly affected customer satisfaction with coffee shop services in Jakarta. Rines is a micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) which produces specialty snacks from the Mojokerto area, soybean chips. This study aims to examine internal and external factors influencing the business, and thus, provides an insight into the business’s current state to devise an effective strategic framework. Employing mixed method research, data are collected through interviews, literature reviews, and questionnaires administered to key decision-makers within the business. The analysis incorporates several analytical instruments, including the Internal Factor Evaluation (IFE) Matrix, External Factor Evaluation (EFE) Matrix, and Internal-External (IE) Matrix. The results of this research obtained that the IFE and EFE values were above the average, indicating that Rines had been able to control their internal and external factors. Then from IE matrix placing Rines in Quadrant I represents the category of growing and developing businesses (Grow and Build). The poor quality of labor causes low productivity and competitiveness. The objective of this study was to mediate the effect of labor absorption on economic growth in the tourism area of Lombok island. This study used the total population of the Lombok island community in three popular destinations to date among others are Senggigi Beach, Kuta Beach Lombok, and Gili Trawangan Beach with a total of 275.267 respondents. This study used random sampling because the total population is more than 100 respondents. The result found that direct or indirect effects in mediating labor absorption towards economic growth in the tourism area of Lombok island are great. Information technology is a technology for obtaining, processing, storing and distributing various types of information files by utilizing computers and telecommunications born of strong drives to create new innovations and creativity that can overcome all laziness and slowness of human performance. The recent phenomenon of several large companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange shows that there is an improper management of the company, especially in supervision, thereby reducing the value of the company. The result is proven that developed companies, especially in developed countries, use supervision not only as a leader but also technology that can automatically detect fraud and is useful as a step to prevent fraud in companies. Corporate governance is still lacking in Indonesia and other developing countries, making the level of supervision at the company does not run optimally so that the potential for fraud is still quite large. The development of information technology and especially internet communication has caused significant social, economic and cultural changes to occur so quickly. On one side of information technology can provide benefits, simplify and accelerate access to information that we need in all things and can change the model of the economy and business models. However, even a negative impact cannot be avoided. Along with the development of internet technology, causing the emergence of new crimes called new cybercrime through the internet network. The rapid population growth of Jakarta to further improve urban mobility problems. The imbalance between public infrastructures provided by the number of people who need it led to a lack of municipal services. Transportation Online has become one transportation solutions, present in transportation needs cheap, efficient, and fast. Even amid the busy road, using motor transportation would be faster. This study aims to develop a model that connects between the independent variables namely; Online Marketing (X1), Brand Awareness (X2) with the dependent variable is the Decision of Repurchase (Y2) and Customer Satisfaction (Y1). This research was conducted in East Jakarta. The research method used was surveyed. The population in this study is the user Transportation Online East Jakarta area. The sampling technique used in this study is incidental sampling. These results indicate that the two independent variables, namely Marketing Online (X1) and Brand Awareness (X2) effect on Repurchase Decision variable (Y2) and Customer Satisfaction (Y1). From the test results simultaneously obtained that Online Marketing and Brand Awareness jointly influence decisions repurchase mediated by customer satisfaction Transportation Online service users, means the better online marketing and brand awareness of the company, the higher the repurchase decisions and customer satisfaction. more...
