Abstract

The article evaluates the efficacy and the tolerance of a cosmetic slimming treatment for menopausal women used topically under dermatological control. Findings revealed the efficacy of the slimming effect in the abdomen and hip circumferences and pannicula adipose thickness with an increase of skin elasticity. It also found that the effect of body massage for a month in women receiving placebo did not induce any slimming changes. The researchers conclude that menopause adipose tissue is resistant to common mechanical lipolytic procedure.
