Renaissance Humanism encouraged the use of classical as much as vernacular languages. However, the choice of language arose from varied sources, the main driving motives differing according to communicative, cultural and national factors. The identity of each reason can be linked with the different humanists of the Renaissance period. Each one, in line with their historical context, field, Renaissance culture and disciplinary background understood, used and assigned differing functions to language, though they fundamentally were in agreement that languages should serve as vehicles of communication and access to knowledge., El Humanismo renacentista impulsó el uso de las lenguas, tanto las clásicas como las vernáculas. No obstante, el uso de las mismas no obedeció a la misma razón, sino que las razones principales que motivaron su uso fueron diferentes, tales como razones comunicativas, culturales y nacionales. La identidad de cada una de las razones hay que relacionarla con los diferentes humanistas del periodo renacentista. Cada uno de ellos, según su contexto histórico, su ámbito espacial, su cultura renacentista y su formación disciplinar, entendieron, usaron y le asignaron a las lenguas funciones algo diferentes, aunque en lo esencial hubo coincidencia: las lenguas deben servir de vehículo para la comunicación y para el acceso al conocimiento

The way to represent war and social conflicts have been changing as those have been changing too: the recent wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, the Arab Springs, the actions of the Islamic State. The webcast amateur images are replacing the professional journalistic stories. As seemingly unrelated fragments, they form a visual mosaic characterized by immediacy, rawness and poorly development. They are imposed thanks to the heightened sense of realism that manage to convey and the subjective view whereby the viewer is transported to the scene of action. In brief, our goal will be to check the degree of knowledge that should be acquired regarding conflicts through the analysis of this videos located on the internet., La manera de representar la guerra y los conflictos sociales han ido cambiando a medida que aquellos han ido cambiando también: las últimas guerras de Irak o de Afganistán, las primaveras árabes, las actuaciones del Estado Islámico…Las imágenes amateur difundidas por Internet están sustituyendo a los relatos periodísticos profesionales. En su condición de fragmentos aparentemente inconexos, conforman un mosaico visual caracterizado por la inmediatez, la crudeza y lo escasamente elaborado. Se imponen por la acentuada sensación de realismo que logran transmitir y por la mirada subjetiva por la cual consiguen trasladar al espectador al escenario de los hechos. En definitiva, nuestro objetivo será comprobar el grado de conocimiento que cabe adquirir respecto de los conflictos abordados a partir del análisis de esta muestra de registros audiovisuales situados en la red.

This paper has as main purpose, make an approach to detect and identify information needs and information- seeking behavior of coaches in combat sports. Was applied a questionnaire to teachers of aikido, boxing, fencing, judo, karate, kendo, lima lama, wrestling and taekwondo selected by a non-probability sampling causality. In general, we find that the main topics of interest among instructors are training programs, nutrition and training diets. Moreover, coaches are more likely to use their experience, internet and courses for information. In contrast, we note that the library and the books are rarely used., Este trabajo tiene como propósito esencial, realizar un acercamiento para detectar e identificar las necesidades de información y el comportamiento informativo de entrenadores en deportes de combate. Para ello se aplicó un cuestionario a instructores de aikido, boxeo, esgrima, judo, karate, kendo, lima lama, lucha y taekwondo seleccionados mediante un muestreo no probabilístico por causalidad. En general encontramos que los principales temas de interés entre los instructores son: los programas de entrenamiento, nutrición y dietas de entrenamiento. Por otra parte, los entrenadores son más propensos a utilizar su experiencia, internet y cursos para obtener información. En contraste se nota que la biblioteca y los libros son poco usados.

21st century has brought a transformation of the cultural context of societies, as a result of the appearance of different sources of knowledge and means of information transmission, which have affected all academic environments. Instructors are forced to be trained in use, concepts and range of social networks and ICTs, even though these may not substitute the pre-existent educational tools. This leads to a redefinition of the educational system, in order to embrace a genuine educational technology. The birth of the Digital Agora has knocked down the limits to content access while, at the same time, compartmentalizing knowledge, and the inadequate use of new technologies might entail non-desirable consequences., El siglo XXI ha supuesto una transformación en el ámbito cultural de las sociedades, fruto del surgimiento de diferentes maneras de generar conocimiento y de transmitir información que ha afectado a todos los ambientes académicos. Los docentes están obligados a formarse en el uso, conceptos y alcances de las redes sociales y las TIC aunque estas no pueden reemplazar las herramientas educativas preexistentes. Todo ello implica un replanteamiento del sistema educativo que permita hablar de una verdadera tecnología educativa. La aparición del Ágora digital ha derribado fronteras de acceso a los contenidos pero construido muros de compartimentación de los conocimientos y un uso inadecuado de las nuevas tecnologías puede acarrear consecuencias indeseadas.
