The aim of this study was to compare the state of nonspecific resistance, cellular and humoral immunity in young children with acute respiratory infections with a smooth course, with the first episode of bronchoobstructive syndrome (BOS) and with recurrence of this syndrome.

Blood mediators, including histamine, play an essential role in the pathogenesis of acute respiratory diseases (ARI) in children [3].

Acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI) occupy a leading place in the general structure of bronchopulmonary diseases in children. Their severity is often caused by bronchoobstructive syndrome with severe respiratory insufficiency. A similar clinical picture is given by asthmatic bronchitis, which often resembles bronchoobstructive syndrome [4]. Clinical and laboratory aspects of differential diagnosis of acute respiratory viral infections with bronchoobstructive syndrome and asthmatic bronchitis in young children remain insufficiently studied, while their timely recognition is of extremely great practical importance for rational therapy [6].

The XXVII Congress of the CPSU outlined the strategic course of the development of our country. Its main feature is a policy of acceleration, which consists not only in increasing the rate of economic growth, but also in improving social relations, updating the forms and methods of work, overcoming inertia, further developing the creativity of the masses.

Intensification of lipid peroxidation processes is of great importance in the violation of functional integrity of tissues of the respiratory tract and increased vascular and tissue permeability in a number of bronchopulmonary diseases. Since respiratory viruses are cytopathogenic agents, their leading role in the development of membrane disorders in acute inflammatory respiratory diseases in young children should be assumed. The works previously carried out in this direction refer only to the complicated forms of respiratory viral infections.

To date, the causes of recurrent acute respiratory viral infections (ARI) in young children have not been conclusively established. The aim of this work was to study the features of the clinical course of acute respiratory viral infections and the immune status of young children who often and rarely have these infections. There were 132 acute respiratory viral infections patients at the age of 1 to 3 years under observation. There were 87 (65.9%) from 1 to 2 years old, and 45 (34.1%) from 2 to 3 years old. All patients depending on the frequency of ARI, registered in them during the recent year, were divided into 2 age groups: the 1st group (37 patients) included children ill with ARI from 7 to 10 times a year, and the 2nd group (95 patients) - up to 6 times a year.

The etiology and pathogenesis of acute liver obesity in pregnancy are poorly understood. It is believed that this severe complication of pregnancy is caused by a lack of protein nutrition, depression of protein synthesis. Clinically, the disease runs as fulminant (malignant) hepatitis.

The purpose of our work was to study phagocytic parameters, complement titer, lysozyme level in the blood serum of ARVI patients, depending on the period of the disease, the presence of complications and taking into account the premorbid background.

The aim of this work was to study the parameters of the components of the kinin blood system in children with severe forms of acute respiratory viral infections (ARVI) with neurotoxicosis syndrome. 55 children with ARVI (aged from 1 to 6 months - 14, from 6 months to 1 year - 18, from 1 to 3 years - 11, from 3 to 7 years - 12). 38 patients were admitted in the first three days of illness, 12 - on 4-5 days and 5 - at a later date. 30 children had a severe form of acute respiratory viral infection and 25 - moderate. Adenovirus infection was diagnosed in 14 patients, influenza - in 16, parainfluenza - in 7, MS-viral infection in 5, mixed viral infection - in 13. The control group consisted of 10 apparently healthy children.
