Abstract

The article explores the services provided by domestic workers which are bet described as affective labor. It examines the professional performance of domestic work which involves a simultaneous engagement with the intimate and the impersonal based on the views of anthropology professor William Mazzarella. It also discuses the differences between a migrant domestic worker and a working class, non-migrant woman employed in domestic work.
