CBS declined to buy ProElite due in part to Kimbo Slice's loss in the first 14 seconds of his CBS prime-time match. The shares of ProElite have fallen from $15 in 2007 to just 70 cents in October 2008. ProElite founder Florian Homm is being investigated for his trading where he could easily inflate the share's price to generate performance fees.
