The article provides information on mucinous cystadenoma of the appendix. It discusses the case of a 61-year-old man who was presented with chronic intermittent right iliac fossa pain, in which laparoscopic-assisted right hemicolectomy was performed revealing a mucinous cystadenoma of the appendix. It highlights the patients benefit from minimally invasive surgery such as the use of colonoscopy and computer tomography (CT) on the preoperative diagnosis of mucinous cystadenoma of the appendix.
