Incomplete definitions of geodiversity and geoheritage caused the domination of clearly geological approach to these scientific problems. That is the reason why some of the integral elements of geographical environment were neglected. Wrong theoretical assumptions reflected negatively the determination and advancement of this scientific discipline. The reasons for such condition are mentioned in the paper, as well as the necessity of different and more comprehensive perspective of geodiversity and geoheritage, by which the directions of the future development are implied. ., Nepotpune definicije geodiverziteta i geonasleđa uzrokovale su dominaciju čisto geološkog pristupa ovim naučnim problemima. To je razlog što su neki od sastavnih segmenata geografske sredine bili zanemareni. Pogrešne teorijske postavke negativno su se odrazile na utvrđivanje i unapređenje ove naučne oblasti. U radu su navedeni razlozi ovakvog stanja, ukazano je na potrebu drugačijeg i obuhvatnijeg sagledavanja geodiverziteta i geonasleđa, čime se nagoveštavaju pravci budućeg razvoja. .

The examples from Kosovo and Metohia attempted to point to some problems in the domain of hydrogeographic regionalization. The river water regime, especially the phase of high flows which marks this regime, has been the topic of almost all researches which treat water resources of drainage basins. However, the thing that has not been achieved till now is the unique solution by which the classification of rivers would be made according to this feature. On this example it has been shown that even some older methods, based on genetic analysis of hydrograms and of global type, as well as some recent ones, with lot of quantitative entry and regional approaches, cannot with certainty answer all the challenges which river regimes bring with themselves. This work shows that apart from climate, orographic and physiognomic features of drainage basins, the periods of data processing and the analysis of individual intra-annual series of discharges are very important as well. Discretization on time periods shorter than one month, as well as elimination of the extreme values of discharges in the longtime series is recommended for the future research., Primerima sa Kosova i Metohije se pokušalo ukazati na neke probleme iz domena hidrogeografske rejonizacije. Vodni režim reka, posebno faza velikih voda koja daje pečat tom režimu, tema je gotovo svih istraživanja koja tretiraju vodne resurse slivova. Ono što, međutim, nije do sada postignuto, to je univerzalno rešenje kojim bi se izvršila klasifikacija reka po ovoj osobini. Na ovom primeru se pokazuje kako i neki stariji metodi, zasnovani na genetskom raščlanjivanju hidrograma i globalnog su tipa, isto kao i neki noviji, sa mnoštvom kvantitativnih odrednica i regionalnog pristupa, ne mogu sa pouzdanošću da odgovore na sve izazove koje sobom nose rečni režimi. Ovim radom se ukazuje i da su osim klimatskih, orografskih i fizionomskih osobina slivova veoma važni i periodi obrade podataka i analiza pojedinačnih unutargodišnjih serija proticaja. Za buduće istraživanje se preporučuje i diskretizacija na vremenske periode kraće od jednog meseca, kao i eliminacija ekstremnih vrednosti proticaja u dugogodišnjem nizu.

Dr Srboljub Stamenković, a full professor at the University of Belgrade, Geographic Faculty, was born on August 22, 1951 in Ćukovac near Vranje. He completed elementary school and high school of economics in Vranje and studies of Geography at the Geography Department, Faculty of Mathematics at Priština University. He completed Master studies in the area of: "Geographical basis of spatial planning" in 1981, with Master thesis title "Urban-geographical development of Vranje", at the University of Skoplje, Geographic Faculty, where he also completed Ph.d. studies with the thesis title "Spatial-functional relations and connections of central settlements in the Vranje sub-region" in 1985. After completion of regular studies, since 1975 until present day, he was permanently employed at the following institutions: School of Economics "Dimitrije Tucović" in Vranje, Pedagogue Academy "Ivo Andrić" in Vranje, Republic Institute for Advancement of Education in Belgrade, and from November 1, 1990 until present day at the University of Belgrade, Geographic Faculty. Prof. Dr Srboljub Stamenković directed creation of more than 80 graduation papers, four master thesis and two doctoral dissertations, and now manages creation of five master and three doctoral thesis. His long-standing scientific work in the area of settlements geography professor Dr Stamenković crowned by the project "Geographic encyclopedia of Serbian settlements", which represents a unique undertaking in the entire Serbian and Balkans scientific encyclopedic literature. Since 1975 until present day, Prof. Dr Srboljub Stamenković published 148 studies: 5 scientific monographs, 62 original and clear scientific studies, 3 thematic cards, 14 scientific-popular and studies from geography teaching methods, 11 textbooks and didactic materials for elementary and high schools - out of which two represent University textbooks from the area of his long-standing teachings, 44 encyclopedic studies and 9 surveys and adequate note

The river basins of the White Timok and the Black Timok are situated in East Serbia. Petrologically they differ very much from each another: in the river basin of the Black Timok (1,199 sq km) there predominate limestones (39%) and andesites (34%); in the upper part of the river basin of the White Timok (1,245 sq km) magmatic-metamorphic rocks (60.4%), and in its lower part (905 sq km) maritime-lacustrine sediments (36%). As the above mentioned river basins differ from one another also from hydrological point of view, the object of this paper was to establish the total evacuation of suspended and chemically dissolved deposits, as well as its structure. The greatest evacuation of deposits is in the very liver basin of the White Timok (224,8 t/km^2/year), and the least one in the river basin of the Black Timok (68,7 t/km^2/year). These two river basins basically differ from each other also by the structure of evacuated materials: in the former there predominates silt (82,8%), and in the latter chemically dissolved matters (94,9%). On the basis of relations, in which E is the sum of evacuations of suspended and chemically dissolved deposits (mg/km^2/s and q specifical flow-off (1/s/ km^2), it can be concluded that for the same abundance of water the immediate part of the water basin of the White Timok is 8,3 times ämore credible' than the river basin of the Black Timok.
