In this study, the effects of perlite use on fire resistance in wood plastic composite production were investigated. Scots pine wood flour, polypropylene and perlite using certain proportions of wood plastic composite materials were produced by flat-presses method. In the production of wood plastic composites, 5%, 10%, 15% and 20% perlite was used in the mixture. Test samples were obtained from the produced wood plastic composite boards in accordance with the relevant standards. Horizontal and vertical combustion rate and Limited Oxygen Index tests were performed to determine the fire resistance properties. Horizontal combustion rate (ASTM D 635), vertical combustion rate (UL-94) and LOI test (ASTM 2863-09 standards) were carried out. As a result, according to both the horizontal-vertical combustion rate and LOI data, It has been determined that perlite improves the fire resistance due to the increase in the usage rate. In the production of wood plastic composite, the most positive effect on fire resistance was determined at a 20% perlite usage rate. It was concluded that this effect increased with the use of MAPP., Bu çalışmada odun plastik kompozit üretiminde perlit kullanımının yanma dayanımı üzerine etkileri araştırılmıştır. Sonuçta hem yatay ve dikey yanma hızı hem de LOI ile ilgili verilere göre perlit kullanım oranının artmasına bağlı olarak yanma dayanımını iyileştirdiği belirlenmiştir. Odun plastik malzeme üretiminde yanma dayanımı için en olumlu etki %20 perlit kullanım oranında tespit edilmiştir. MAPP kullanımı ile bu etkinin arttığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

Yapılan karakterizasyon çalışmaları sonucunda, hidrotermal olarak yapılan nano fonksiyonlandırmanın başarılı olduğu kanıtlanmıştır. Yeni yüzeyin su temas açısı θγ 128° olarak ölçülmüştür. Dalga boyu aralığının 200-800 nm olduğu alanda anti-UV özellik sergilemiştir. Fonksiyonlandırma sonrası yüzey değişim parametreleri ISO 4287 standardına göre yapılmıştır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, genellikle yüzey temizliği için kullanılan ultrasonik banyonun ceviz kaplamaların kurutma süresi, yüzey pürüzlülüğü, rengi ve yoğunluğu üzerine olan etkilerinin incelenmesidir. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre; ceviz kaplama numunelerinin ultrasonik yıkama da en az etkileneceği optimum şartlar; 25°C’de 15 dakika olarak tespit edilmiştir., The aim of this study is to investigate the effects of ultrasonic bath, which is generally used for surface cleaning, on drying time, surface roughness, color and density of walnut veneers. For this purpose, coating samples prepared in identical sizes were pretreated with an ultrasonic bath set at three different times and temperatures at fixed frequency (40 kHz). After these three different ultrasonic pretreatments applied, the effects of changes in the structure of walnut coatings on drying time, density (g/cm3) values, surface roughness parameters according to ISO 4287 standard and color parameters in accordance with ISO 2469 (2014) standards were examined. According to the results obtained; optimum conditions in which walnut veneer samples will be least affected by ultrasonic washing; It was determined as 15 minutes at 25°C.

In this study,artificial aging with iron acetate ((CH3COO)2Fe) solutionwas applied to Fir wood and it was aimed to investigate effects of aging time,sanding number and cross section directions on surface roughness and colorchanges. The surfaceroughness parameter values ​​were measured according to ISO 4287 standard andcolor measurement analyzes was performed according to ISO 2469 standard.
