CompOSE (CompStar Online Supernovae Equations of State) is an online repository of equations of state (EoS) for use in nuclear physics and astrophysics, e.g., in the description of compact stars or the simulation of core-collapse supernovae and neutron-star mergers, see http://compose.obspm.fr. The main services, offered via the website, are: a collection of data tables in a flexible and easily extendable data format for different EoS types and related physical quantities with extensive documentation and referencing; software for download to extract and to interpolate these data and to calculate additional quantities; webtools to generate EoS tables that are customized to the needs of the users and to illustrate dependencies of various EoS quantities in graphical form. This manual is an update of previous versions that are available on the CompOSE website, at arXiv:1307.5715 [astro-ph.SR], and that was originally published in the journal "Physics of Particles and Nuclei" with doi:10.1134/S1063779615040061. It contains a detailed description of the service, containing a general introduction as well as instructions for potential contributors and for users. Short versions of the manual for EoS users and providers will also be available as separate publications., Comment: 91 pages, 20 tables. This manual is an update of arXiv:1307.571

We study the behaviour of the $��_{c1}(3872)$, also known as $X(3872)$, in dense nuclear matter. We begin from a picture in vacuum of the $X(3872)$ as a purely molecular $(D \bar D^*-c.c.)$ state, generated as a bound state from a heavy-quark symmetry leading-order interaction between the charmed mesons, and analyze the $D \bar D^*$ scattering $T-$matrix ($T_{D \bar D^*}$) inside of the medium. Next, we consider also mixed-molecular scenarios and, in all cases, we determine the corresponding $X(3872)$ spectral function and the $D \bar D^*$ amplitude, with the mesons embedded in the dense environment. We find important nuclear corrections for $T_{D \bar D^*}$ and the pole position of the resonance, and discuss the dependence of these results on the $D \bar D^*$ molecular component in the $X(3872)$ wave-function. These predictions could be tested in the finite-density regime that can be accessed in the future CBM and PANDA experiments at FAIR.

We study odd parity $J=1/2$ and $J=3/2$ $��_c$ resonances using a unitarized coupled-channel framework based on a ${\rm SU(6)}_{\rm lsf}\times$HQSS-extended Weinberg-Tomozawa baryon-meson interaction, while paying a special attention to the renormalization procedure. We predict a large molecular $��_c \bar K$ component for the $��_c(2790)$ with a dominant $0^-$ light-degree-of-freedom spin configuration. We discuss the differences between the $3/2^-$ $��_c(2625)$ and $��_c(2815)$ states, and conclude that they cannot be SU(3) siblings, whereas we predict the existence of other $��_c-$states, two of them related to the two-pole structure of the $��_c(2595)$. It is of particular interest a pair of $J=1/2$ and $J=3/2$ poles, which form a HQSS doublet and that we tentatively assign to the $��_c(2930)$ and $��_c(2970)$, respectively. Within this picture, the $��_c(2930)$ would be part of a SU(3) sextet, containing either the $��_c(3090)$ or the $��_c(3119)$, and that would be completed by the $��_c(2800)$. Moreover, we identify a $J=1/2$ sextet with the $��_b(6227)$ state and the recently discovered $��_b(6097)$. Assuming the equal spacing rule and to complete this multiplet, we predict the existence of a $J=1/2$ $��_b$ odd parity state, with a mass of 6360 MeV and that should be seen in the $��_b \bar K$ channel., 13 pages, 5 figures, 4 tables

We have reviewed the renormalization procedure used in the unitarized coupled-channel model of Phys. Rev. D85 114032 (2012), and its impact in the $C=1$, $S=-2$, and $I=0$ sector, where five $��_c^{(*)}$ states have been recently observed by the LHCb Collaboration. The meson-baryon interactions used in the model are consistent with both chiral and heavy-quark spin symmetries and lead to a successful description of the observed lowest-lying odd parity resonances $��_c(2595)$ and $��_c(2625)$, and $��_b(5912)$ and $��_b(5920)$ resonances. We show that some (probably at least three) of the states observed by LHCb will also have odd parity and spins $J=1/2$ and $J=3/2$, belonging two of them to the same ${\rm SU(6)}_{\rm light-spin-flavor}\times$HQSS multiplets that the latter strangenessless heavy$-��$ baryons., 11 pages, 3 figures, 6 tables, published in The European Physical Journal C

We study the dependence on the quark mass of the compositeness of the lowest-lying odd parity hyperon states. Thus, we pay attention to $��-$like states in the strange, charm and beauty, sectors which are dynamically generated using a unitarized meson-baryon model. In the strange sector we use an SU(6) extension of the Weinberg-Tomozawa meson-baryon interaction, and we further implement the heavy-quark spin symmetry to construct the meson-baryon interaction when charmed or beauty hadrons are involved. In the three examined flavor sectors, we obtain two $J^P=1/2^-$ and one $J^P=3/2^-$ $��$ states. We find that the $��$ states which are bound states (the three $��_b$) or narrow resonances (one $��(1405)$ and one $��_c(2595)$) are well described as molecular states composed of $s$-wave meson-baryon pairs. The $\frac{1}{2}^-$ wide $��(1405)$ and $��_c(2595)$ as well as the $\frac{3}{2}^-$ $��(1520)$ and $��_c(2625)$ states display smaller compositeness and so they would require new mechanisms, such as $d$-wave interactions., 14 pages, 2 figures, 5 tables

We study the strangeness $+1$ meson-baryon systems to obtain improved $KN$ and $K^*N$ amplitudes and to look for a possible resonance formation by the $KN$-$K^*N$ coupled interaction. We obtain amplitudes for light vector meson-baryon systems by implementing the $s$-, $t$-, $u$- channel diagrams and a contact interaction. The pseudoscalar meson-baryon interactions are obtained by relying on the Weinberg-Tomozawa theorem. The transition amplitudes between the systems consisting of pseudoscalars and vector mesons are calculated by extending the Kroll-Ruderman term for pion photoproduction replacing the photon by a vector meson. We fix the subtraction constants required to calculate the loops by fitting our $KN$ amplitudes to the data available for the isospin 0 and 1 $s$-wave phase shifts. We provide the scattering lengths and the total cross sections for the $KN$ and $K^* N$ systems obtained in our model, which can be useful in future in-medium calculations. We study odd-parity baryonic resonances with one heavy and three light flavors, dynamically generated by meson-baryon interactions. Special attention is paid to Heavy Quark Spin Symmetry (HQSS), hence pseudoscalar and vector mesons and baryons with J^P = 1/2+ and 3/2+ are considered as constituent hadrons. For the hidden-charm sector (N-c-quarks = N-c-antiquarks = 1), the meson-baryon Lagrangian with Heavy Flavor Symmetry is constructed by a minimal extension of the SU(3) Weinberg-Tomozawa (WT) Lagrangian to fulfill HQSS, such that not new parameters are needed. This interaction can be presented in different formal ways: as a Field Lagrangian, as Hadron creation-annihilation operators, as SU(6)xHQSS group projectors and as multichannel matrices. The multichannel Bethe-Salpeter equation is solved for odd-parity light baryons, hidden-charm N and Delta and Beauty Baryons (Lambda-b). Charmed baryon resonances that are generated dynamically are studied within a unitary baryon-meson coupled-channel model, which incorporates heavy-quark spin symmetry. We study charmed and strange baryon resonances that are generated dynamically within a unitary meson-baryon coupled-channel model which incorporates heavy-quark spin symmetry. This is accomplished by extending the SU(3) Weinberg-Tomozawa chiral Lagrangian to SU(8) spin-flavor symmetry and implementing a strong flavor symmetry breaking. The model generates dynamically resonances with negative parity in all the isospin, spin, and strange and charm sectors that one can form from an s-wave interaction between pseudoscalar and vector meson multiplets with $1/2^+$ and $3/2^+$ baryons. Our results are compared with experimental data from several facilities as well as with other theoretical models. Moreover, we obtain the properties of charmed pseudoscalar and vector mesons in dense matter within this coupled-channel unitary effective model by taking into account Pauli-blocking effects and meson self-energies in a self-consistent manner. The $\bar K^*$ meson in dense matter is analyzed by means of a unitary approach in coupled channels based on the local hidden gauge formalism. The $\bar K^*$ self-energy and the corresponding $\bar K^*$ spectral function in the nuclear medium are obtained. We observe that the $\bar K^*$ develops a width in matter up to five times bigger than in free space. We also estimate the transparency ratio of the $\gamma A \to K^+ K^{*-} A^\prime$ reaction. Presented at the XXXI Mazurian Lakes Conference on Physics, Piaski, Poland, August 30–September 6, 2009., We study the properties of strange and charm mesons in hot and dense matter within a self-consistent coupled-channel approach for the experimental conditions of density and temperature expected for the CBM experiment at FAIR/GSI. The in-medium solution at finite temperature accounts for Pauli blocking effects, mean-field binding of all the baryons involved, and meson self-energies. We analyse the behaviour in this hot and dense environment of dynamically-generated baryonic resonances together with the evolution with density and temperature of the strange and open-charm meson spectral functions. We test the spectral functions for strange mesons using energy-weighted sum rules and finally discuss the implications of the properties of charm mesons on the Ds0(2317) and the predicted X(3700) scalar resonances., nowledges support from the RFF project of the University of Groningen. The extension of chiral theories to the description of resonances, via the incorporation of unitarity in coupled channels, has provided us with a new theoretical perspective on the nature of some of the observed excited hadrons. We study the kaon nuclear optical potential including the effect of the ��^+ pentaquark in a self-consistent approach, starting from an extension of the Juelich meson-exchange potential as bare kaon-nucleon interaction. Significant differences between a fully self-consistent calculation and the low-density T��approximation are observed. Whereas te influence of the KN -> ��^+ absorption process is found to be negligible, due to the small ��^+ KN coupling, the two-nucleon mechanism (KNN -> ��^+ N), estimated from the two-meson coupling of the pentaquark, provides the necessary additional kaon absorption to reconcile with data the systematically low theoretical K^+ nucleus reaction cross sections., 3 pages, 6 figures, to appear in the proceedings of the IV International Conference on Quarks and Nuclear Physics (QNP06), Madrid, Spain, June 5-10, 2006
