This study was conducted to identify micro-organisms in the conjunctiva of dogs and cats and to evaluate the sensitivity of the isolates against 13 antimicrobials. We used 48 animals, 44 dogs and 04 cats, all healthy adult. The bacteria more frequent in dogs: Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus saprophyticus, Staphylococcus sp., Streptococcus spp., Bacillus spp. Enterobacter sp. and Escherichia coli. It was found in cats Streptococcus spp., Bacillus sp., E. coli and Enterobacter sp. The results indicated that azithromycin, clindamycin, kanamycin, amikacin, rinfampicina, norfloxacin, oxacillin, penicillin, vancomycin, were the antimicrobials in which Staphylococcus aureus, Staphylococcus saprophyticus, Staphylococcus sp., Streptococcus sp. had a higher degree of sensitivity.
