The article discusses the factors to consider in the acoustic design of restaurants. It states that the acoustic device can make a big contribution to the environment of a bar or restaurant, allowing people to return and to promote the restaurant to others. Good acoustic advice reportedly involves a balance of several factors to attain the desired effect. The article suggests ways to improve a venue's acoustic environment including strategic placing of absorption to reduce specular sound and flutter echoes and reduction of the impact of background niose.
