This study investigated intermediate-spin states of 92Zr via the inverse reaction 9Be(86Kr,3n) 92Zr. Seven transitions were newly observed, and a lifetime was extracted for the 10+1 state by analysis of Doppler-broadened line shapes of decay γ rays. A large B(E2) value was obtained for the transition from 10+1 to 8+1, and the magnitude was comparable to that for the deformed excited configurations in 94Zr that have recently been established. A possible origin for such collectivity is discussed qualitatively based on a phenomenological deformed rotor model. Moreover, a multipletlike structure that fits into the systematics for N = 52 even- A isotones is revealed for the negative-parity yrast states. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

High-spin states of Pt190 have been reinvestigated using the 176Yb(18O, 4n) reaction at a beam energy of 88 MeV. The previously known positive parity band associated with the νi13/2-2νh9/2-1νj-1 (νj being νp3/2 or νf5/2) configuration has been revised and extended significantly. A new negative parity band has been established and proposed to be based on the νi13/2-3νj-1 configuration. Possible structure evolution of the yrast line from predominantly vibrational to rotational with increasing spin is discussed with the help of Eγ over spin curves. High-spin states of 80Rb are studied via the fusion-evaporation reactions 65Cu+19F, 66Zn+18O, and 68Zn+16O with the beam energies of 75 MeV, 76 MeV, and 80 MeV, respectively. Twenty-three states with twenty-eight γ transitions are added to the previously proposed level scheme, where the second negative-parity band is significantly pushed up to spins of 22- and 15- and two sidebands are built on the known first negative-parity band. Two successive band crossings with frequencies 0.51 MeV and 0.61 MeV in the α = 0 branch as well as another one in the α = 1 branch of the second negative-parity band are observed. Signature inversions occur in the positive-parity and first negative-parity bands at the spins of 11ℏ and 16ℏ, respectively. The signature splitting is seen obviously in the second negative-parity band, but the signature inversion is not observed. It is also found that the structure of the two negative-parity bands is similar to that of its isotone 82Y. Signature inversion in the positive-parity yrast band with configuration πg9/2⊗νg9/2 in this nucleus is discussed using the projected shell model. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

High-spin states in the odd-odd 174Re have been investigated via the 152Sm(27Al, 5ny)174Re reaction with the help of excitation function, x-γ, and γ-γ coincidence measurements. Five rotational bands have been observed and their configurations were assigned based on alignments, band crossing frequencies, electromagnetic properties, and the estimated bandhead excitation energies. Low-spin signature inversion has been identified in the two-quasiparticle bands built on πh11/2 ⊗ vi13/2, πh9/2 ⊗ vi13/2, and π ½-[541] ⊗ v5/2-[512] configurations. E2 interband transitions were analyzed with band-mixing calculations giving information on shapes and shape driving effects for the bands of interest. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
