The article presents a look at a randomized controlled trial of tolterodine and tamsulosin, two treatments for lower urinary tract symptoms and overactive bladder in men. The objective of the study was to determine the efficacy and safety of tolterodine extended release (ER) and tamsulosin in men who have both overactive bladder and benign prostatic hyperplasia. According to the article, the results of the study suggest that treatment with tolterodine ER and tamsulosin for 12 weeks benefits men in with these conditions.
