Nowadays, screw press technology is more advanced due to a demand by oil palm industry to produce high oil production for consumer daily activity. The objective is to analyze the single and twin worm screw press by comparing several designs to maximize their lifespan of the worm screw press. This study used visual inspection, model development and simulation of worm screw press by using SolidWorks and calculation of design properties. Simulating a single tapered shaft and uniform pitch worm screw press with static and dynamic simulation resulted in the total life span yield of 4085 hours and 3621 hours, respectively. Meanwhile, simulating twin tapered shaft and uniform pitch worm screw press with static and dynamic analysis yielded the total life span of 3262 hours and 1685 hours, respectively. The option for the tapered shaft of screw press or uniform pitch was to be able to lessen the maintenance cost and further lifespan of the screw press. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Acoustic quality in mosques is of great importance to the occupants because most of the activities in mosques require excellent speech intelligibility for activities such as listening to lectures and sermons to be conveyed effectively, and dome as a roof for mosques has been a prominent architectural feature for this typology. However, in many studies, it is found that the dome results in echo or concentrated sound waves due to its concave surface. Therefore, this research investigates other alternatives that are additional fitting to improve acoustic quality in the mosque with a dome in the shape, material and size of that additional fitting. The methodology of this research is done through simulation by using ODEON software by simulating and experimenting on different shapes, sizes and materials of the additional fitting. Results are then being compared to two parameters; (1) Reverberation Time, (2) Speech Transmission Index (STI). Therefore, this study will help in future mosque design and its diffusing panel where not only could become of aesthetic feature and a functional feature in the dome. Falling is a well-known cause of injured among elderly people. It always acted as a threat toward elder people. Fall detection system is one of the methods for solving the falling issue which occurred in daily life of elder. A model based is essential to identify the behavior of daily life or fall activity. Thus, this study presented a modelling for fall detection system by using neural network algorithm which we had known as nonlinear autoregression, NARnet. The algorithms which will be used in simulated the model are training Levenberg-Marquardt (LM), Scaled Conjugate Gradient (SCG) and Broyden–Fletcher–Goldfarb–Shanno (BFG) function. Four volunteers between 140cm to 170cm height perform eight scenarios. Then, the data set is divided to nine (120LM, 120BFG, 120SCG, 240LM, 240BFG, 240SCG, 1616LM, 1616BFG, and 1616SCG) from 1 to 20 hidden node have been tried and ran in MATLAB. The best model will be selected among nine datasets based on Mean Square Error (MSE) and Regression and evaluated by using decision matric table.
