The article analyzes the momentum mitigation method for a single-solar-array satellite using solar radiation pressure and mass-center portion management. The methods for reducing accumulated momentum using solar radiation pressure included relocation of mass center of spacecraft by propellant blowdown, orthogonal positioning of the solar array, and solar array offset angle control. It discusses simulation analysis of momentum dumping using multipurpose geostationary satellite, Communication, Ocean and Meteorological Satellite (COMS), as the example.
