Thesaturated vapor pressure of pure 3,5-dichloroaniline was measuredfrom (10.25 to 95.81) kPa in the temperature range from (446.60 to534.94) K using an ebulliometer. The results were fitted by an Antoineequation using a nonlinear least-squares regression method. The calculatedsaturated vapor pressure agrees well with the experimental values.The ideal gas molar enthalpy and ideal gas entropy of vaporization(ΔgidlHm, ΔgidlSm) of3,5-dichloroaniline in the temperature range from (446.60 to 534.94)K were calculated by the combination of the Clausius–Clapeyronequation and Antoine equation. A nickel-catalyzed cross-coupling of allylic alkyl ethers with organoboron compounds through the cleavage of the inert C(sp 3 )-O(alkyl) bonds is described. Several types of allylic alkyl ethers can be coupled with various boronic acids or their derivatives to give the corresponding products in good to excellent yields with wide functional group tolerance and excellent regioselectivity. The gram-scale reaction and late-stage modification of biologically active compounds further prove the practicality of this synthetic method.

The straightforward synthesis of α-fluoro-β-arylalkenyl sulfones under transition-metal- and base-free conditions has been described, which displays broad functional group compatibility and high stereoselectivity. In particular, the strategy is also applied to the late-stage modification of complex natural products and drugs.

Increasing the length of silver nanowires (AgNWs) has been demonstrated as an effective measure to enhance their optoelectronic properties by reducing light attenuation. Herein, we report a unique modified polyol synthesis of AgNWs with average length as long as ∼270 μm in a high yield of ∼90%. The synthesis of ultralong AgNWs involves the employment of ascorbic acid in the polyol approach. The strong reducing action of ascorbic acid allows the reduction of silver precursors to occur at a relatively low temperature, wherein the lateral growth of AgNWs is restrained because of efficient surface passivation via the dual function of poly-vinylpyrrolidone and ascorbic acid. The photoelectric properties of the as-synthesized ∼270 μm AgNW film show a noteworthy transmittance of 92.61% with a low haze of 1.35% at a sheet resistance of ∼322 Ω sq -1 . In addition, the AgNW film shows distinguished mechanical property and relatively high electrical stability. Silver nanowires (AgNWs) with the diameter down to 16 nm have been synthesized by using tetrabutyl ammonium dibromochloride (TBADBC) as the organic auxiliary. Moderate dosage of TBADBC was proven to be favorable for the in situ growth of Ag pentahedral seeds on the surface of small AgClBr 2 particles and have a passivation effect on the Ag{100} crystal facet during the growth of AgNWs, eventually resulting in the formation of thin AgNWs. Furthermore, the transparent conductive film fabricated by using the obtained AgNWs exhibited excellent photoelectric properties, which has a transmittance of 90.60%, a haze of 0.95%, and a sheet resistance of 110.8 Ω/sq, indicating large potential for application in flexible transparent conductors.

The first nickel-catalyzed domino Heck cyclization/Suzuki coupling reaction for the synthesis of 3,3-disubstituted oxindoles bearing quaternary all-carbon centers is reported. A wide range of electrophiles, such as aryl iodides, bromides, triflates, and chlorides, are all compatible with the reaction conditions. Moreover, cheap aryl esters, which undergo catalytic C-O bond cleavage, could also be employed as electrophiles. The approach shows good yields and broad scope, complementing a more practical and sustainable alternative to the conventional palladium-based analogues.

We demonstrate that coherent acoustic phonons derived from plasmonic nanoparticles can modulate electronic interactions with proximal excitonic molecular species. A series of gold bipyramids with systematically varied aspect ratios and corresponding localized surface plasmon resonance energies, functionalized with a J-aggregated thiacarbocyanine dye molecule, produces two hybridized states that exhibit clear anticrossing behavior with a Rabi splitting energy of 120 meV. In metal nanoparticles, photoexcitation generates coherent acoustic phonons that cause oscillations in the plasmon resonance energy. In the coupled system, these photogenerated oscillations alter the metal nanoparticle's energetic contribution to the hybridized system and, as a result, change the coupling between the plasmon and exciton. We demonstrate that such modulations in the hybridization are consistent across a wide range of bipyramid ensembles. We also use finite-difference time domain calculations to develop a simple model describing this behavior. Such oscillatory plasmonic-excitonic nanomaterials offer a route to manipulate and dynamically tune the interactions of plasmonic/excitonic systems and unlock a range of potential applications.

An effective strategy for inert Csp(3)-H functionalization through nickel-catalyzed selective radical cross-couplings was demonstrated. Density functional theory calculations were conducted and strongly supported the radical cross-coupling pathway assisted by nickel catalyst, which was further confirmed by radical-trapping experiments. Different arylborates including arylboronic acids, arylboronic acid esters and 2,4,6-triarylboroxin were all good coupling partners, generating the corresponding Csp(3)-H arylation products in good yields.
