Abstract

The author discusses autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and the intervention research programs set up to ensure and promote proper care for the affected. With an aim to combat ASD, the Congress decreed the combat autism act and funded for the health resources and services administration (HRSA). Also elucidated are the programs administered by HRSA's maternal and child health bureau (MCHB) which had developed combating autism act initiative (CAAI) for helping with ADS by increasing awareness.
