Our work aims to analyse several archetypal images and symbols specific to primordiality, as they are updated in the mythological inspirational prose of Michel Tournier. In our analytical approach, we will use the instruments of mitocracy and myth analysis. Starting from Tournier's texts and the myths of Paradise and the Golden Age, we identified these archetypes and archetypal images related to Primordium: Chaos, Transcendence, Paradise, Androgynous, primordial couple. The number of symbols that updates these invariants is impressive but our analysis focuses on the following elements: forest, darkness, night, primordial waters, fire, island, rain, bird, butterfly, mountain.
