The article discusses the versatility and usefulness of mint (Menthe) herb. An overview on its several medicinal uses, its botanical species and hybrids, its suitable growing conditions, potting tips to grow mint, and its application in preparation of several food dishes is provided. The benefits of pennyroyal (Mentha pulegium) species, spearmint (Mentha spicata), and peppermint (Mentha piperita) are cited. A recipe for the Middle Eastern salad, quinoa tabbouleh, is also presented.
