1. Giant Dipole Radiation And Evidence Of Isospin Mixing Increase With Atomic Number In Hot Nuclei

Abstract

We present evidence that the isospin mixing studied in a consistent way in highly excited 32S, 36Ar, 44Ti, and 60Zn nuclei at similar excitation energies, increases with increasing atomic number of self‐conjugate nuclei. The observed increase is similar to that predicted for ground‐state nuclei.

Abstract

The experimental data for the 11B(p,σ0)12C reaction in the proton energy range of 0.5–14 MeV were analysed within the framework of the direct‐semidirect capture model. This analysis reveals an enhanced coupling of the GDR with the incident proton d5/2 wave consistent with the microscopic structure of the GDR in the 12C nucleus.

Abstract

An energy‐dependent effective potential approach was applied to generate the relative motion continuum wave functions in the region of subbarrier resonances in radiative proton capture reactions. The analysis of the (p, γ) reactions on 28Si, 20Ne and 12C target nuclei provided information about the parameters of the interaction potential at low energies as well as spectroscopic factors of resonant and bound states in the final nuclei.
