The Zeus central tracking detector (CTD) second level trigger is based on a network of transputers closely integrated with the CTD data acquisition system. Abstract

High interaction rate colliders impose stringent requirements on data acquisition and triggering systems. These systems can only be realised by using asynchronous parallel networks of processors. The accurate prediction of the performance of these networks is essential for the design of the system. We have written a package to simulate networks of asynchronous processors.
