Most of the service centers operating in the repair and maintenance of machines and mechanisms apply warehouse management systems based on event prediction, which ensures inventory replenishment based on the initial diagnosis of the units. Such methodology is enforced measure, since the components and assemblies, even from the same manufacturer, having similar functions, design and connecting components have their own engineering numbers and part numbers for ordering. Unfortunately, this method is relevant only with perfect logistics and minimal time factor. If these criteria cannot be fulfilled, the maintenance and repair time increases, especially at a distance from logistic centers. By reducing lost sales and quick customer satisfaction, own warehouse stocks based on statistical data increases. Unfortunately, none of the modern methods gives a 100% result and eventually leads to overstocking and formation of deadstock. On the other hands more and more components are made from composite materials, complex alloys, permanent joints are being used. But due to ineffective management the significant part of expensive components is became needless. The aim of this research is to develop an algorithm allowing to optimise the logistics chain and reduce the inventory and deadstock, reduce disposal of used and obsolete units and assemblies, resulting in significantly lower consumption of natural resources, energy and reduced negative impact of waste on the environment. Our research shows that in various fields of science there are being developed methodologies, which would solve the described tasks by combining those methodologies in a single algorithm. The rising of efficiency of the building and construction production is an actual task. One of the possible ways to ensure higher efficiency is using innovative tools and facilities of small-scale mechanization, which increase productivity and enhance working condition. Most observable influence of such strategy is on concrete works, plastering and earthworks. Another important tendency in production engineering, building and construction production is recycling of the technological wastes, which sufficiently reduce cost of the products and improve ecology. The goal of the present paper is to offer new possibility for recycling of the technological wastes, i.e. perforated steel tapes achieved after stamping of fine parts, by producing from mentioned perforated tapes the building tools and facilities of small-scale mechanization. In particular, the technological wastes of the JSC 'Ditton' (Daugavpils, Latvia) -- perforated steel tapes -- received after stamping of the elements of driving chains for different apparatus were used in this research. The prototypes of the scrapers for the finishing building work, as well as cutting edges and circular coronas for the woodworking were elaborated and offered in this work. The results of approbation of elaborated prototypes of the tools are offered. It was proven, that proposed innovative tools could be used effectively in building production and woodworking. The objectives of performed research were the following: 1) check out the possibility of effective formation of the tubular and planar structures from the perforated steel tapes, which were obtained as a waste during stamping of fine-sized details, by cutting and bending; 2) testing of achieved tubular and annular structures for fixing up of the electrical cables and as electromagnetic shielding solutions; 3) analysis of achieved results and elaboration of the recommendations for using of lightweight tubular shields for the electrical cables. The actuality of research is connected with the re-using of metallic wastes and shielding solutions against electromagnetic fields. All objectives were reached successfully using bending for formation of the tubular structures. The bending strength of achieved structures and the shielding efficiency in a controlled environment was examined. The measurement results have shown that perforated steel will exhibit noticeable shielding properties against both the electric and magnetic field. Such results open up wide possible application of the planar and cellular tubular structures from perforated metallic tapes. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The formation of cellular core for sandwich wall constructions made of perforated steel band is presented in the paper. The information about the main mechanical properties of perforated tapes and plates is provided. Basic technological methods for obtaining cellular structures from perforated metallic tape achieved from waste material by stamping are suggested. The main attention is focused on the analysis of the compressive strength of key elements of obtained cellular structures. Examples of the use of cellular structures made of perforated metallic materials in sandwich wall constructions are given.
