Sultanhisar şehri Ege Bölgesinin Asıl Ege Bölümünde bulunmaktadır. Şehir farklı jeomorfolojik birimlerin temas noktasında, deniz seviyesinden yaklaşık 73 m. yükseklikte kurulmuştur. Sultanhisar şehri genel olarak alüvyal arazi üzerinde bulunmaktadır. Alüvyal arazinin gevşek zeminli oluşu ve alanın jeolojik geçmişine bağlı olarak birinci derecede deprem bölgesi içerisinde yer alması, şehrin yatay yönde gelişmesine yol açmıştır. Şehir, Aydın İline bağlı bir ilçe merkezi durumundadır. Bu özelliğini 1958 yılında kazanmış olup, bugüne kadar yöreyle ilgili detaylı bir coğrafi araştırma yapılmamıştır. Bu durum, araştırmamızın temel amacını oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada Sultanhisar ilçe merkezinin fiziki, beşeri ve ekonomik coğrafya özellikleri ele alınarak, şehirsel fonksiyonları coğrafi bir bakış açısıyla ortaya konulmaya çalışılmıştır. Şehrin özellikleri incelenirken genel eserlerin yanı sıra, çeşitli periyodiklerden de yararlanılmıştır. Bunun yanında, gözlemlerden de büyük ölçüde faydalanma yoluna gidilmiştir. Çalışma alanı, elverişli konumu sayesinde önemli kara ve demiryolları üzerinde bulunmaktadır. Ancak bu konum, şehrin gelişimi için beklenen katkıyı pek sağlayamamıştır. Yerleşim sahası jeolojik yapı ve tarım alanlarına bağlı olarak daha çok batı yönünde genişlemektedir. Yörenin ekonomisinde tarımın payı oldukça fazladır. Nitekim aktif nüfusun çoğu geçimini tarım sektöründen sağlamaktadır. Şehirdeki sanayinin gelişmesini sağlayıcı önlemlerin alınması gerekmektedir. Sultanhisar, sahip olduğu doğal çevre özellikleri, termal kaynakları ve aynı zamanda zengin kültürel yapısı dolayısıyla her dönemde yerleşmeye sahne olmuştur. Çalışmada, şehrin bu tür özellikleri ön plana çıkarılarak sorunlar tespit edilmeye ve öneriler getirilmeye çalışılmıştır. The town of Sultanhisar is situated on the Main Aegean of the Aegean Region. The city is situated on about 73 meters high from the sea level at different jeomorphological units of contact point. The city of Sultanhisar, in general, is situated on alluvial land. Since, due to its jeological background, the alluvial land is flabby- ground and taking part in the first-degree earthquake region; this situation leads up to develop the city in a horizontal way. The city is standing as a county seat that is linked to the city of Aydın. It gained this feature in 1958, but a detailed geographical research hasn’t been done until today. And this is the fundamental reason of our research. At the research, considering the physical, human and economic geographical features of the county seat; it is tried to bring up the functions of city in a geographical point of view. Concerning the city’s features, besider the general Works, we benefited from the kinds of periodics. In addition to these, we make good use of the observations. Because of its suitable location, the work place is situated on the significant land and railway. But this situation couldn’t provide the expected contribution for the city’s development. The settling place, related to the geological constitution and agricultural area, widens mostly towards the west side. Considering the economic of the area, contribution of agriculture is quite a lot. Likewise, most of the active population earn their living with the help of agriculture. And, it is necessary to take measures in order to develop city’s industry. Due to its natural environment features, thermal sourcer and its rich cultural origin, Sultanhisar because the scere of setle in at every age. And in this work, these kinds of features are being coure to the fore in order to find out the problems and make suggetions.

Araştırma, İç Anadolu Bölgesi’nde Eskişehir İline bağlı Mahmudiye İlçesi sınırları içinde bulunan Anadolu Tarım İşletmesi’nde yapılmıştır. İşletme İç Anadolu’yu Doğu Anadolu, Marmara ve Ege Bölgelerine bağlayan yolların yakınında yer almaktadır. Bu özel konumu işletmenin günümüze kadar öneminin korunmasını sağlamıştır. Anadolu Tarım İşletmesi, ülkemizde devlet eliyle tarımsal faaliyetlerin yapıldığı Tarım İşletmeleri Genel Müdürlüğü’ne bağlı işletmelerden birisidir. Anadolu Tarım İşletmesi gerek Cumhuriyet öncesinde ve gerekse Cumhuriyetten sonra ülkemizin tarım ve hayvancılığına önemli hizmetlerde bulunmuş olması nedeniyle diğer işletmelerden ayrılmaktadır. Anadolu Tarım İşletmesi doğal özellikler bakımından çeşitlilikler göstermekte olup, geniş arazisi ve verimli topraklarıyla zengin bir ekonomik potansiyele sahiptir. İşletmede Yarış Atı yetiştiriciliğinin yapılması, son yıllarda Mahmudiye İlçesi ve yakın çevresine önemli ekonomik gelir sağlamıştır. İşletmenin mevcut durumu ekonomik coğrafya açısından incelenmeye değer bir durum olarak görülmektedir. Çalışmanın amacı, Anadolu Tarım İşletmesi’ni coğrafi metodolojiye göre araştırarak işletmenin sorunlarını ve alınması gereken önlemleri belirleyerek işletmenin daha verimli bir duruma gelmesine yardımcı olmaktır. The research was conducted in the Anatolian Agriculture Enterprise, which is located in Mahmudiye district of Eskişehir province. Enterprise is located in the roads which connects Inner Anatolia region to Eastern Anatolia, Marmara and Aegean region closely. Due to this special location, management has protected its importance until today. Anatolian Agriculture Enterprise is affiliated with General Directorate of Agriculture Enterprises, which conducts agricultural activities by the hand of state. Anatolian Agriculture Enterprise has separated from other managements because of its outstanding contributions to agriculture and stock-raising of Turkey both pre-republican and republican eras. Anatolian Agriculture Enterprise is differentiated in terms of natural features. It has rich economic potential with its large fields and efficient lands. With the breeding of Racehorse in the enterprise has contributed to in terms of economic income to Mahmudiye district and its near surroundings by the last years. The current situation of the enterprise would be worth to researching with respect to economic geography. The purpose of the research is that studying on Anatolian Agriculture Enterprise according to geographical methodology in order to determine the problems of the management and precautions which should be taken, and this would help to the management in order to become more efficient. This research constituted of three sections that are History of General Directorate of Agriculture Enterprises, Natural Environment Features of Anatolian Agricultural Enterprise and its Economic Features. Gediz nehrinin en doğudaki kaynakları sayılabilecek Murat Dagı (Karapınar) çayı vadisinde kurulu olan köyün topografik yapısı oldukça engebelidir. Bu arızalı yapıdan dolayı tarım arazisi oldukça sınırlıdır. Tarım alanlarının önemli bir kısmı, orman açıklıklarında yer almaktadır. En genis tarım arazileri Belova Platosu üzerinde yer alır. Ancak burada da yükseltiye baglı olarak sıcaklıgın düsmesinden dolayı tarım ürünleri geç olgunlasmaktadır. Yerlesim alanının dar bir vadide, belki de Murat Dagı çayı vadisinin en çok genisledigi yerde kurulmus olması yatay yönde genislemesine engel teskil etmistir. Bu durum ise konutların birbirine çok yakın insa edilmesine sebep olmustur. Konutların bu sıkısık düzeni, köyde konutların insa malzemesinde önemli bir yer tutan ahsabın çok kullanıldıgı dikkate alınırsa, yangınlar açısından büyük bir tehlike ortaya çıkarmaktadır. Arastırma sahasında yasayan halkın gelirlerindeki sınırlılık, hayvancılıgın özellikle de besi hayvancılıgının gelistirilmesiyle, dar ancak önemli bir kısmı sulanabilen tarım arazilerinde meyveciligin tesvik edilmesiyle, köyde kurulu olan iki adet alabalık üretim çiftliginin sayısının artırılması ve köyün kendi elektrigini üretecek tesislerin kurulması ile ortadan kaldırılabilir This study which Çukurören village of Gediz town in Kütahya province is chosen as the examination area tries to mention about the geographical features of Çukurören village. Çukurören village where makes up our research is located in the Inner-west part of the Aegean Region. The village is located on the highway between Gediz and Altıntaş towns, 30 km away from Gediz town where Çukurören is connected to as administratively. It is surrounded by Göynük in the North-west, Uğurluca in the South-east, Tokul in the North, Saraycık (Altıntaş) in the North-east, Karacahisar (Banaz-Uşak) villages in the South. There aren’t many detailed researches for the village and the surroundings except some topics. In this study, physical, humankind and economical features of this area are presented and explained from a geographical aspect and the current problems of the village are given. Beside the general works of art, the various periodical works, the reports and observations are utilized in the research of the geographical features. It is understood from the research made in the area that the agriculture is inadequate, the stock-breeding hasn’t been developed enough, and the revenue got from the forestry doesn’t meet the public’s standard living. There are about 219 families from Çukurören village, but living out of the village because of the inadequate revenue. Considering the largeness of the family, this number will probably be around 650 and this shows us more people than the habitants living in the village live out of the village. It is obligatory to take some measures to impede the emigration from the village. The topographic structure of the village territory placed in the valley of the Mount Murat River which can be considered as the sources of River Gediz is too much rough. Having this geographical irregularity, the farming (agricultural) area is too limited. Majority of the agricultural fields are situated in the inner side of the forest. The widest agricultural areas are situated on the Belova Plateau. However, the agricultural products are ripened late because of the low heat depending on the elevation. As a result of being settled in a narrow valley, maybe in the place where the valley of river of Mount Murat widens most, the settlement area has no opportunity to widen horizontally. This situation caused people to build the houses next to each other. The congested style of the houses, remembering the great usage of wooden which has an important place in the building constructions in the villages, can cause great fire danger. The limited revenue of people living at this examination area can be eliminated by developing stock-breeding, especially fattening animals, by having narrow but watery lands, by supporting the fruit growers, by increasing the numbers of the trout fish pools, and even by establishing an association that produces the electricity needed by the inhabitants.

Manisa’ya bağlı bir ilçe olan Kula, Ege Bölgesi’nin İç Batı Anadolu Bölümü’nde yer almaktadır. İlçe ile ilgili olarak kırsal yerleşmeler ve eğitim alanında detaylı bilimsel araştırmalar yeterince yapılmamıştır. Bu durum araştırmanın temel amacını oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada Kula’daki kırsal yerleşmeler ve eğitim faaliyetleri nedensellik, sebep- sonuç, dağılım gibi bilimsel ilkeler dikkate alınarak açıklanmaya çalışılmıştır. Kula’nın genel özellikleri de ele alınarak, kırsal yerleşmeler ayrı ayrı incelenmiştir. Özellikle 2006-2007 Eğitim-Öğretim yılında Kula’da eğitimin dağılımı, bilimsel araştırma yolları kullanılarak incelenilmeye çalışılmıştır. İlçe ile ilgili inceleme yapılırken basılı kaynaklar, istatistik verileri ve yerinde yapılan gözlemlerden yararlanılmıştır. 2006-2007 Eğitim-Öğretim yılı bilgi ve istatistikleri Kula İlçe Milli Eğitim Müdürlüğü’nden temin edilmiştir. Kırsal yerleşmeler ise tek tek gezilerek incelenmiştir. Yapılan çalışma sonucunda Kula’da eğitimin istenilen ölçüde gelişmediği belirlenmiştir. Kırsal yerleşmelerde ise çeşitli sorunların yaşandığı görülmüştür. Araştırma sahasının topografik yapısı ve kırsal yerleşmelerin fazla sayıda ve dağınık olması hem ilköğretimi zorlaştırmakta hem de ortaöğretime talebi düşürmektedir. Kula is a district of Manisa. It is in the middle-west Anatolian Region in Turkey. There hasn’t been made enough detailed scientific research in the field of education and the villages about the district. This case forms the main purpose of the research. In the research, villages and education in Kula has been tried to be explained considering scientific principles such as causality, cause-result and the dispersion principles. Considering the general characteristics of Kula and the villages have been mainly examined. Especially in 2006-2007 educational year, the dispersion of education Kula has been tried to be examined by using scientific research methods. While examining the district, printed sources, statistics information and the observations that are made in suitable places have been used. Information and statistics about 2006-2007 educational year has been provided from the Kula District Administration of Education. The villages have been examined by walking around them. As a result of the research, it has been found out that the education in Kula hasn’t developed as much as people expected. It has been seen that there were some problems in the villages. Ege bölgesinin, İç Batı Anadolu bölümünde yer alan Uşak ilinde yürütülen eğitim faaliyetleri, kırsal bölgelerde istenilen düzeye henüz ulaşamamıştır. Bu durumun nedenlerinin tespiti ve çevresel koşulların eğitim hayatına etkileri, bu çalışmanın temel amacını teşkil etmektedir. Araştırmada, Uşak ili merkez ilçeye bağlı Mesudiye köyü ve Banaz ilçesine bağlı Ayrancı köyleri örneklem olarak alınmış, birbirinden farklı alanlarda kurulmuş bu yerleşmelerin çevresel koşulları ile eğitim düzeyleri karşılaştırmalı olarak incelenmiştir. Alan araştırmaları sırasında mülâkat, anket, gözlem, örnekleme ve belge taraması gibi yöntemlere başvurulmuştur. Elde edilen veriler, nedensellik, sebep ve sonuç ilişkileri ile açıklanmıştır. Yapılan araştırmalar sonucunda, çevresel koşullarların sosyal, ekonomik ve kültürel yapıyı etkilediği, bu etkileşiminde eğitim faaliyetlerine yansıdığı tespit edilmiştir. Kırsal yerleşmelerin kent merkezlerine uzaklığı, coğrafi konumu ve yeryüzü şekilleri eğitim hayatı üzerinde doğrudan etki yapmaktadır. Araştırma sonuçları değerlendirildiğinde, bulguları kırsal yerleşmelere yönelik eğitim programlarının hazırlanmasına ışık tutabilecektir. In Aegean region, Usak, located in hinterland of West Anatolia, faciliated educational activities haven’t reached the optimum level yet. This thesis’s aims are to find the reasons of the circumstance and effects of surrounding conditions on education. In this research Mesudiye, Usak’s village and Ayrancı, Banaz’s village are taken as examples. These villages which are different from each other and settled in different areas are investigated in comparison for surrounding conditions and degree of education. During the field of research such audience, survey, observation, example and scanning of document are used. Conclusions, are explained with causality and reason- result relation. At the end of the research, it was fixed that surrounding conditions affect the socioeconomical and sociocultural structures and this interaction affects the educational activities, too. Distance between rural and urban settlements, the geographical location and location against to the world directly have an effect on education. Evaluating the conclusions of research, findings will lighten rural settlements for preparing schedules.

İdari açıdan bağlı olduğu Afyonkarahisar ilinin 29 km. güneyinde bulunan ve 1182 km² yüzölçümüne sahip olan Şuhut ilçesi, Ege Bölgesi’nin İç Batı Anadolu Bölümü’nde yer almaktadır. 1946 yılında ilçe merkezi olduktan sonra hızla nüfusu artan Şuhut’ta, eğitimin dağılımını inceleyen bilimsel bir araştırma yapılmamıştır. Sahanın çalışma alanı olarak seçilmesinde bu durum etkili olmuştur. Şuhut ilçesindeki eğitim faaliyetleri araştırılırken konunun genel yapısını ilgilendiren çalışmalar gözden geçirilmiştir. Araştırmada coğrafi düşüncenin esas yöntemlerinden birisi olan yerinde gözlem metodu kullanılmıştır. Dağılım-mekan-insan ilişkilerine bağlı kalınarak eğitim faaliyetleri açıklanmaya çalışılmıştır. İlçede eğitimin tarihi gelişimi, veri yetersizliği nedeniyle Afyonkarahisar ilinin eğitim tarihi dikkate alınarak hazırlanmıştır. Eğitim-öğretime ait veriler İlçe Milli Eğitim Müdürlüğü ve ilçede yer alan okullardan temin edilmiştir. Cumhuriyetten sonra kayıtlar tutulmasına rağmen, sağlıklı veriler ancak son 15 yıl ile sınırlıdır. Okul, öğrenci, öğretmen sayıları ile nüfusun artışı dikkate alındığında 1990-2004 yılları arasındaki veriler Şuhut’ta eğitimin dağılımını ortaya çıkarmaktadır. 1990-2004 yılları arasındaki eğitim-öğretim faaliyetlerine ait bilgi ve istatistikler nedensellik, sebep-sonuç, dağılım ilkeleri doğrultusunda açıklanmaya çalışılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda Şuhut ilçesinde eğitimin yeterince gelişmediği görülmüştür. Sekiz yıllık zorunlu eğitimin ardından özellikle kırsal yerleşmelerde ortaöğretime geçişlerin düştüğü belirlenmiştir. Araştırma sahasında köy yerleşmelerinin dağınık ve ortaöğretim kurumlarının kırsal yerleşmelere yakın olmaması ortaöğretime talebi azaltmaktadır. Taşımalı eğitim ve birleştirilmiş sınıf uygulaması, köylerin eğitim ihtiyacını karşılayamamaktadır. İlçe eğitim kurumları öğrencilerin sosyal ihtiyaçlarına yeterince cevap verememektedir. Araştırma sahasının il merkezine yakın olması, ilçeden il merkezine öğrenci gidişine neden olmaktadır. The district Şuhut, located in 29 km’s south of AfyonkarahisarŞuhut is administratively bounded to and which has 1182 km² of area measurement, is located in west Interior Part of Egean Region. In Şuhut, of which population has increased after it became a district in the that examine the distribution of education haven’t made. This condition was effective for this field’s chosen for studying area. While the education activities were being examined, the studies made before were glanad over.İn the investigation, done in the main place observation method which is one of main methods of geographical idea was used. Education activites were being tried to explain by being dependent to the distribution place human relation. In the district, historical developmant of education was prepared by taking account of the education history of the city Afyonkarahisar, because of inefficiency of data. Datas belong to education system were gained from the Directory of Education and from the schools of the district. Although registrations were made after declaration of Turkish Republic, healthy datas are restricted only in 15 years. As the numbers of schools, students and teachers and the increasement of population are considered,datas between 1990-2004 revealed the education distribution in Şuhut. Datas and statistics belong to education system activities between 1990-2004 were tried to be expalined through causality, reason result, and distribution principles. Art the end of the investigation, it was noticed that in Şuhut, education hadn’t developed sufficiently. After the eight yeared obligatory education, especially in rural settlements, it has been determined that the transition to secondary education were decreased. In investigations field, being untidy of settlements and being close of secondary education institutions to rural settlement areas, are decreasing the demand to secondary education. Education done by transporting and practice of connected classes, are not able to support education necessity of villages. District’s education institues cannot support the student’s social necessities. Being close of investigation field to city centre, is causing student’s going to city centre from the district

Özellikle 2001-2002 öğretim yılında Uşak’ta eğitimin dağılımı, bilimsel araştırma yolları kullanılarak incelenilmeye çalışılmıştır. Şehrin eğitim yapısı incelenirken basılı kaynaklar, istatistik verileri ve yerinde yapılan gözlemlerden yararlanılmıştır. 2001-2002 öğretim yılı bilgi ve istatistikleri İl Milli Eğitim Müdürlüğünden temin edilmiştir. Yapılan çalışma sonucunda Uşak’ta eğitimin istenilen ölçüde gelişmediği belirlenmiştir. 8 yıllık zorunlu eğitim uygulaması nedeni ile, 2001-2002 öğretim yılında ilköğretime talebin fazla olduğu görülmüştür. Ancak ortaöğretime geçişlerde öğrenci sayısında önemli düşüşler olduğu belirlenmiştir. Considering the historical development of education around the country, the development of education in the city of Uşak has been mainly examined. Especially in 2001-2002 educational year, the dispersion of education Uşak has been tried to be examined by using scientific research methods. While examining the structure of education in the city, printed sources, statistics information and the observations that are made in suitable places have been used. Information and statistics about 2001-2002 educational year has been provided from the City Administration of Education. As a result of the research, it has been found out that the education in Uşak hasn’t developed as much as people expected. Because of the 8 year obligatory education, it has been found out that there was much demand for the primary education in the 2001-2002 educational year. But it has been found out that there has been important decrease for the demand for Secodary Education. The topographic sturucture of the researh field and large amount of dispersed village settlement decreaset the demand for the secondary education.
