The study aims to explain what dimensions of the satisfaction of Croatian police officers with internal feedback are predictors of their readiness to explain their actions to citizens. The survey was conducted in 2020 on a convenience sample of 1260 police officers. The questionnaire measures satisfaction with feedback as one of eight dimensions of satisfaction with internal communication and police legitimacy in two dimensions of police and citizen interaction: accountability (citizens) – attitude and behaviour. The purpose is to compare feedback in internal and external police communication and examine to what extent the satisfaction of police officers with feedback contributes to the understanding of their attitudes and behaviour towards explaining actions to citizens. The results indicate the weak predictive power of variables that measure satisfaction with feedback in understanding the attitudes and behaviour of police officers related to explaining their actions to citizens. However, when introduced into the predictor model that contains the criterion variable "Behaviour related to explaining police actions to citizens" is the variable of attitude, the proportion of the variance explained increases significantly. The contribution of the paper is an analysis of the connection between internal and external communication of police officers in Croatia, and communication research is extremely important in police organizations in transition countries that undergo a transition from the traditional policing models to citizen-oriented policing models. A limitation of the paper is that only one aspect of internal communication has been examined in isolation. Therefore, new research should examine the complex nature of internal communication within a police organization in the context of the quality of police officers' relations with citizens, especially in relation to the willingness to explain police actions, as an important dimension of trust in the police. Vjerovanja o učenju stranoga jezika predstavljaju kognitivni aspekt stava te kao takva imaju snažan utjecaj na učenikovo ponašanje, motivaciju i djelovanje u kontekstu formalnoga učenja stranoga jezika. Cilj ovoga rada jest ispitati vjerovanja studenata o učenju engleskoga kao stranoga jezika kao i razmotriti potencijalne implikacije tih vjerovanja za nastavnu praksu. Za ispitivanje vjerovanja korišten je upitnik BALLI (Beliefs about Language Learning) autorice Horwitz (1985). Vjerovanja su ispitana na temelju analize pet komponenata: prirodna sklonost, težina učenja, priroda učenja, učenje i komunikacijske strategije te motivacija. Rezultati pokazuju kako studenti vjeruju u postojanje prirodnih sklonosti za učenje jezika, percipiraju engleski jezik kao ne veoma teškim te pridaju važnost poznavanju vokabulara i razvoju komunikacijskih vještina naspram poznavanju kulture jezika cilja, gramatičkih pravila te prevođenja. Podjednak naglasak na tradicionalne i suvremene strategije učenja ukazuje na potencijalni raskorak između reformnih tendencija i nastavne prakse.

Fizičko kažnjavanje disciplinska je strategija koja podrazumijeva upotrebu fizičke sile, namijenjene da djetetu nanese bol, ali ne povredu, radi promjene ili iskorjenjivanja nekoga nepoželjnog ponašanja. Brojni roditelji često je koriste, ali se nešto rjeđe govori o stavovima neroditelja o fizičkoj kazni. Neroditelji su ljudi koji nemaju vlastitu djecu, ali se pretpostavlja da će ih imati u budućnosti. Cilj je ovoga rada bila usporedba stavova roditelja i neroditelja o fizičkoj kazni. U radu je analizirano 14 studija kvantitativnoga tipa. Pretraživane studije ispitivale su stavove roditelja i/ili neroditelja o fizičkoj kazni, a u obzir došli su roditelji djece normativnoga razvoja, bez kroničnih ili akutnih bolesti. Neroditelji su bili adolescenti ili studenti. Pretraga studija vršena je u online bazama podataka, a analizirane su one koje su registrirale stavove (ne)roditelja o fizičkoj kazni te su ispitivale mogućnost njihovih mijenjanja. Analiza studija sugerira da neroditelji manje odobravaju upotrebu fizičke kazne od roditelja, ali samo ako smatraju da je fizička kazna koju su sami doživjeli u djetinjstvu bila neopravdana. Informiranje o posljedicama fizičke kazne može i kod roditelja i kod neroditelja dovesti do manje podrške fizičkoj kazni. U radu su detaljnije prikazani rezultati studija i sugerira se da bi bilo korisno usporediti stavove (ne)roditelja i o drugim odgojnim strategijama.
