Female deputies from various political parties in the Czech Chamber of Deputies are advocating for the provision of menstrual products in elementary and high schools. This initiative highlights the growing importance of menstruation as a political issue, with discussions on accessibility to menstrual products gaining traction. Collaboration among female politicians from different parties has been instrumental in driving positive changes, such as redefining rape laws and addressing overlooked issues. The proposal to introduce menstrual products in schools is supported by relevant ministries and is expected to be approved before the end of the current parliament, with funding coming from women themselves through adjustments in VAT rates.
