The advantages of Magnetic Coupling Resonant Wireless Power Transfer (MCR-WPT) technology include long transmission distance, high efficiency, and high power. Therefore, it shows great potential in the field of smart home. This study aims to explore the specific impacts on the cognitive functions and neuronal excitation of mice exposed to the electromagnetic fields (EMF) emitted by the MCR-WPT platform, thereby providing biological solid experimental evidence for developing Wireless Power Transfer (WPT) technology. The research employed a frequency of 90 kHz, which is suitable for wireless charging of household appliances. Mice were exposed to EMF emitted by the WPT biosafety experimental platform for various durations. And they were divided into four groups (control group, 2-week exposure group, 4-week exposure group, and 8-week exposure group). Upon completion of the exposure period, the study employed the Novel Object Recognition (NOR) test to evaluate the learning and memory capabilities of the animals. Following this, whole-cell patch-clamp experiments were conducted to record the action potentials (AP) and potassium currents. It was revealed by our observations that, in comparison to mice without electromagnetic exposure, long-term exposure to WPT-emitted EMF resulted in accelerated release of action potentials, inhibited the activation of Voltage-Gated Potassium Channels (VGKCs) current, accelerated the deactivation of K+ channel current, and thus significantly improved the excitability of neurons in the dentate gyrus (DG) of the hippocampus of mice, but did not significantly affect cognitive function. Plain Language Summary: In this research, we subjected mice to the EMF emitted by the 90 kHz MCR-WPT system. We evaluated the changes in cognitive function and excitability of granule neurons of mice exposed to this EMF for different durations. Behavioral tests revealed no impairment in mice exposed to the EMF. However, a statistically significant increase in granule cell excitability was observed following EMF exposure. Importantly, because 90 kHz is suitable for wireless charging of household appliances, it is crucial to study its safety. In recent years, the widespread use of wood products has been observed in many fields. Wooden products have excellent green and environmentally friendly characteristics, but their performance often cannot meet people's needs. Many researchers have conducted in-depth research on wood-based composite materials and their modification methods in order to improve the performance of wood. This article provides a selective review of the types, modification methods, and properties of inorganic modifiers. The preparation methods are mainly divided into immersion methods, sol-gel methods, and hydrothermal synthesis. The flame retardancy, mechanical properties, hydrophobicity, and mold resistance of modified wood have been effectively improved. In addition, modified wood also has photoresponsive properties, electrical conductivity, and thermal conductivity. Finally, the challenges and perspectives on advanced wood-inorganic composites have been proposed for guiding future studies.

Electron-withdrawing molecules (EWMs) have exhibited remarkable efficacy in boosting the performance of perovskite solar cells (PSCs). However, the underneath mechanisms governing their positive attributes remain inadequately understood. Herein, we conducted a comprehensive study on EWMs by comparing 2,2'-(2,5-cyclohexadiene-1,4-diylidene) bismalononitrile (TCNQ) and (2,3,5,6-tetrafluoro-2,5-cyclohexadiene-1,4-diylidene) dimalononitrile (F4TCNQ) employed at the perovskite/hole transport layer (HTL) interfaces. Our findings reveal that EWMs simultaneously enhance chemical passivation, interface dipole effect, and chemically binding of the perovskite to the HTL. Notably, F4TCNQ, with its superior electron-withdrawing properties, demonstrates a more pronounced impact. Consequently, PCSs modified with F4TCNQ achieved an impressive power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 25.21 %, while demonstrating excellent long-term stability. Moreover, the PCE of a larger-area perovskite module (14.0 cm 2 ) based on F4TCNQ reached 21.41 %. This work illuminates the multifaceted mechanisms of EWMs at the interfaces in PSCs, delivering pivotal insights that pave the way for the sophisticated design and strategic application of EWMs, thereby propelling the advancement of perovskite photovoltaic technology., (© 2024 The Authors.
