Islands are sensitive zones of sea-land interaction and typical ecologically fragile areas that are highly vulnerable to natural disasters, especially marine aquaculture, which is sensitive and at high risk to typhoon disasters; additionally, they are home to aquaculture households with high economic vulnerability to typhoons and poor adaptive capacity. This study focused on Liuheng Town of Zhoushan and the Dongtou District of Wenzhou, which were severely affected by Super Typhoon Lekima, and Gouqi Town of Zhoushan, which was severely affected by Typhoon In-Fa and Super Typhoon Chanthu, as case areas. Based on data acquired from 344 questionnaire surveys of aquaculture households and interview data from various related bodies, this study used factor analysis of mixed data and hierarchical clustering on principal components to identify the types of vulnerability of island aquaculture households to typhoon disasters and reveal the characteristics of each vulnerability type, as well as to identify the discriminative indicators of household vulnerability types, for analyzing the impact of typhoon disasters and other stressors on the vulnerability of island aquaculture households to typhoons. The results showed that the aquaculture industry and aquaculture households in the island areas showed high economic vulnerability, with most shrimp, crab, and shellfish mixed farming, algae, and mussel farming households suffering serious losses from typhoons. Second, differences in exposure, sensitivity, and adaptive capacity led to three different types and characteristics of vulnerability in aquaculture households. The degree of household exposure varied across aquaculture species, with mussels having the highest, algae the next highest, and shrimp, crab, and shellfish the lowest. Island aquaculture households showed outstanding sensitivity, as reflected in their high dependence on aquaculture, significant household human capital problems, relatively limited support from social networks, and frequent exposure to typhoon disasters. The adaptive capacity of households varied across aquaculture species, with mussel households having superior adaptive capacity, and shrimp, crab, and shellfish households and algal aquaculture households having relatively poor adaptive capacity. Third, the common influencing factors of aquaculture households' vulnerability to typhoon disasters are labor shortages, frequent typhoon disasters, and inadequate infrastructure. The differences among the significant discriminant indicators, such as the degree of exposure, aquaculture species, average annual household income, age and education level of the household head, social support, number and type of adaptation strategies adopted, and cost–benefit situation, are key to the formation of different vulnerability types. Finally, multiple stressors from the climate, ecosystem, economy and markets, society, institutions, and policies mutually interact to exert cumulative effects that increase the vulnerability of fishery ecosystems and the socioeconomic vulnerability of households in island regions. This study provides important empirical evidence for governments, aquaculture households, and other relevant stakeholders in island regions to reduce their vulnerability and increase their adaptive capacity.

Children are the hope and future of the country, and doing an excellent job for children is of great importance to social development. Social work program efficiency assessment, can help service providers and program implementers understand the effectiveness of program implementation. For this reason, this study uses data envelopment analysis and the Tobit regression model to construct a child protection social work program efficiency assessment model. The input-output indicators of child protection program efficiency are selected. The model is used to analyze the input-output efficiency of social work child protection programs in City H from 2018-2021 as an example. The variables that affect the efficiency of child protection programs are explored in depth to explore the effective ways of child protection. The results show that the comprehensive technical efficiency, pure technical efficiency, and scale efficiency of the child protection program in 2018-2021 are all less than 1 and have not reached DEA efficiency. The comprehensive technical efficiency of the program is significantly affected by the scale efficiency, which necessitates an increase in resource investment in the child protection program. In addition, the six selected influencing factors are significant, at least at the 10% level, all of which positively affect the efficiency of child protection programs and need to be focused on to better improve the efficiency of social work services.

c‐Jun N‐terminal kinases (JNKs) including JNK1/2/3 are key members of mitogen‐activated protein kinase family. Wherein JNK3 is specifically expressed in brain and emerges as therapeutic target, especially for neurodegenerative diseases. However, developing JNK3 selective inhibitors as chemical probes to investigate its therapeutic potential in diseases remains challenging. Here, we adopted the covalent strategy for identifying JNK3‐selective covalent inhibitor JC16I, with high inhibitory activity against JNK3. Despite targeting a conserved cysteine in the vicinity of ATP pocket in JNK family, JC16I exerted a greater than 160‐fold selectivity for JNK3 over JNK1/2. Importantly, even at low concentration, JC16I showed enhanced and long‐lasting inhibition against cellular JNK3. In addition, its alkyne‐containing probe JC‐P1 could label JNK3 in SH‐SY5Y cell lysate and living cells, with good proteome‐wide selectivity. JC16I selectively suppressed the abnormal activation of JNK3 signaling and sufficiently exhibited neuroprotective effect in Parkinson's diseases (PD) models. Overall, our findings highlight the potential of developing isoform‐selective and cell‐active JNK3 inhibitors by covalent drug design strategy targeting a conserved cysteine. Objective To investigate the application value of Yishen Huayu Xugu prescriptionin the management of osteoporotic lumbar compression fracture among elderly patients. Methods From March 2022 to August 2023, all elderly patients with osteoporotic lumbar compression fractures were enrolled in our hospital and randomly assigned into two groups. The patients were diagnosed with kidney deficiency and blood stasis syndrome through physical identification. After admission, both groups (85 cases each) underwent percutaneous kyphoplasty. The control group received conventional Western medicine treatment post-surgery, while the observation group was administered Yishen Huayu Xugu prescription. This herbal formula was prepared by decocting 300 mL of juice in water, divided into two doses, and taken warmly after breakfast and dinner for a duration of 12 weeks. Therapeutic effects were compared after completion of the 12-week treatment period. Results After treatment, the serum levels of D-dimer (D-dimer, D-D) were (5.02 ± 0.63), interleukin-17 (IL-17) was (53.68 ± 5.47), p-collagen special sequence (p-CTX) was (0.37 ± 0.06, interleukin-6 (IL-6) was (69.38 ± 8.27) compared to the control group; bone morphogenetic protein-2 (BMP-2) was (2.69 ± 0.31), 25-hydroxyvitamin D was (58.93 ± 7.17), and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) was (309.81 ± 51.49) which were higher than those in the control group with more sig-nificant improvement observed in the intervention group (P < 0.05). Bone mineral density (BMD) increased at both week 6 and week12 after treatment with a more pronounced improvement seen in the intervention group (P < 0.05). After treatment, the observation group exhibited a more significant reduction in the total Traditional Chinese Medicine ( TCM ) symptom score, Cobb Angle, and ODI, compared to the control group (P < 0.05 ). Furthermore, the observation group demonstrated a higher total effective rate of 95.29% (81/85) compared to 85.88% (73/85) in the control group after treatment, "with a statistically significant difference between the two groups (P < 0.05). Conclusion The Yishen Huayu Xugu prescription holds significant positive implications for this particular medication, as it exhibits enhanced efficacy in reducing inflammation, regulating bone metabolism, improving lumbar function, promoting disease amelioration, and enhancing clinical outcomes. We have entered an era in which scientific evidence increasingly informs research practice and policy. As there is an exponential increase in the use of single-case experimental designs (SCEDs) to evaluate intervention effectiveness, there is accumulating evidence available for quantitative synthesis. Consequently, there is a growing interest in techniques suitable to meta-analyze SCED research. One technique that can be applied is individual patient data (IPD) meta-analysis. IPD is a flexible approach, allowing for a variety of modeling options such as modeling moderators to explain intervention heterogeneity. To date, no methodological research has been conducted to evaluate the statistical properties of effect estimates obtained by using IPD meta-analysis with the inclusion of moderators. This study is designed to address this by conducting a large-scale Monte Carlo study. The history of Miao batik has a long history, and the Miao people, who do not have words, use batik patterns to write their history, which is why Miao clothing is called "history on the body". With the different geographical distribution of the Miao people, the narrative of batik patterns also has its own characteristics. Based on field research, interviews with folk artists and relevant literature review, this paper analyzes the themes and symbolic connotations of Rongjiang Miao batik fish motifs, reveals the historical and cultural connotations of Rongjiang batik motifs, and summarizes the visual aesthetic characteristics of Miao fish motifs. Another focus of this paper is to interpret the formal beauty of the patterns in depth by using the aesthetic analysis methods of compositional elements, compositional forms, laws of beauty and aesthetic features. Cotton aphids (Aphis gossypii Glover) cause harm by feeding on phloem sap and spreading plant viruses to lily. Understanding the mechanisms by which aphids infest lily plants is crucial for effective aphid management and control. In this study, we investigated the activity of antioxidants, integrated nontargeted metabolomes and transcriptomes of lilies infested by cotton aphids to explore the changes in lily leaves. Overall, the results indicated that the catalase (CAT) activity in the leaves of the lily plants was greater than that in the leaves of the control plants. A comprehensive identification of 604 substances was conducted in the leaves. Furthermore, the differentially abundant metabolite analysis revealed the enrichment of phenylalanine metabolism and α-linolenic acid metabolism. Moreover, 3574 differentially expressed genes (DEGs), whose expression tended to increase, were linked to glutathione metabolism and phenylpropanoid biosynthesis. In addition, the integrated analysis revealed that the defensive response of lily leaves to aphids is manifested through antioxidant reactions, phenylpropane and flavonoid biosynthesis, and α-linolenic acid metabolism. Finally, the key metabolites were CAT, glutathione, coumaric acid, and jasmonic acid, along with the key genes chalcone synthase (CHS), phenylalanine ammonia-lyase (PAL), and 12-oxo-phytodienoic acid reductase (OPR). Accordingly, the findings of this research elucidate the molecular and metabolic reactions of A. gossypii in lily plants, offering valuable insights for developing aphid resistance strategies in lily farming. AbstractHierarchical linear modeling (HLM) is a promising approach that can be applied to explain variability in intervention effectiveness between participants in single-case experimental design (SCED) research. This approach allows the inclusion of participant characteristics as moderators to account for variability in intervention effectiveness. However, little is known about the performance of HLM for analysis with the inclusion of imbalanced intervention starting points and imbalanced moderators. Therefore, the goal of this study is to empirically evaluate the statistical properties of this model through a large-scale Monte Carlo simulation study under these scenarios. The results indicate that imbalanced intervention starting points have no impact on the statistical properties of estimating intervention effects. On the other hand, imbalanced moderators have an impact on estimating the intervention and moderator. How the conditions of imbalanced moderators influence the performance of two-level HLM depends on how the moderators are coded. Two general conclusions can be made. The model results in more favorable statistical properties when (i) a larger number of participants are included and (ii) the variability in continuous moderators is larger. The critical speed of eddy current braking is a vital parameter in the design of eddy current braking devices. Currently, most simulations and experiments are used to determine the critical speed, which means a lot of time costs. This paper presents two laws of critical speed variation to help designers more quickly determine the critical speed of a particular eddy current braking device. At first, the structure and the critical speed principle of permanent magnet rotary eddy current brake (PMRECB) are described. Secondly, the finite element analysis is used to verify the accuracy of the two laws. Finally, the validity of the finite element model is confirmed by the eddy current braking test. Studies that distinguish parental monitoring (parent-driven behaviors) from parental knowledge often fail to find protective effects of monitoring on adolescent behavior problems. To answer whether parental monitoring is more strongly associated with adolescent behavior problems among adolescents who may need it most, this study applied group-based trajectory modeling to change in early- to mid-adolescent aggressive behavior problems and examined associations between parental monitoring with different subgroups. Three latent groups of adolescents were found: Low Aggression, Medium-Increasing Aggression, and High-Increasing Aggression. Results show that more maternal and paternal monitoring were associated with fewer adolescent aggressive behavior problems only for adolescents in the High-Increasing Group. This result suggests that parental monitoring is a protective factor against adolescent aggressive behavior problems for subgroups of adolescents who may need it most and less impactful for other adolescents.
