Aqueous zinc ion batteries are promising candidates for large scale energy‐storage due to their combination of inherent security and abundant reserves. The Zn metal undergoes continuous plating and stripping during electrochemical cycling, accompanied by parasitic side reactions and dendrite growth, which severely impedes the commercialization of batteries. Here, an innovative strategy is introduced in electrolyte engineering, dedicated to enhancing the stability at the Zn/electrolyte interface. Theoretical calculations and in situ experimental analyses collectively demonstrate that methyl sulfonyl methane (MSM) additives are beneficial in jointly modulating the hydrogen bonding network and the Zn2+ solvation structure, which in turn restricts H2O activity at the interface. Concurrently, the preferential adsorption of MSM on the Zn surface facilitates the controlled growth of compact zinc layers while suppressing dendritic and parasitic reactions. By modulating the electrolyte and managing the electrode interface, the Zn||Zn symmetric battery can be reversibly cycled over 150 days at a current density of 2 mA cm−2, and the assembled Zn||Cu half‐batteries show impressive cycling stability over 3100 cycles. This study provides an in‐depth comprehension of the Zn2+ plating/stripping behavior, and the development of sophisticated electrolyte systems offers practical guidance for constructing high‐performance zinc‐based batteries. In this study, we experimentally explored the impact outcomes of droplets under a wide range of Weber numbers (0.2 ≤ We ≤ 200) and contact angles (91° ≤ θ ≤ 162°). Five impact outcomes were identified: deposition, rebound, partial rebound, receding breakup, and prompt splash. Compared to the literature, we gathered more comprehensive data on the impact outcomes at various contact angles, which were then organized into a complete phase diagram. Furthermore, we corroborated the accuracy of these outcomes through comparisons with other studies. We conducted a comprehensive analysis of the associated phenomena and underlying mechanisms of these outcomes. By introducing the concept of surface hysteresis energy, we also proposed identification criteria for partial rebound. Mono and dichloro‐substituted organic molecules are shown to possess significant roles in various fields, especially in medicinal chemistry. One approach to synthesizing these compounds involves the selective dechlorination of easily prepared trichloromethyl compounds. Nevertheless, developing a practical approach that allows selective mono‐ and dihydrodechlorination is a challenging task. Herein, we introduced a method for selective mono‐ and dihydrodechlorination of trichloroacetamides and acetates which was promoted by two different Lewis base‐boryl radicals. Accordingly, 4‐dimethylaminopyridine (DMAP)‐borane enabled mono‐substitution of chlorine atom by hydrogen while dihydro‐substitution of chlorine atoms was promoted by N‐heterocyclic carbene (NHC)‐boryl radical. Using deuterated Lewis base‐borane as deuterium atom source, mono‐ and dideuterodechlorination were also successfully took place. The light‐assisted strategy is considered as an effective way to reduce the overpotential of lithium‐oxygen (Li─O2) batteries, however, the generated solid discharge products are prone to cover active sites of the solid‐state photocatalyst, causing the premature death of the cell. Herein, for the first time, the feasibility of soluble photocatalysts in Li─O2 battery system using Iron (II) Phthalocyanine (FePc) is verified. A micro reaction channel is constructed between the sp2‐carbon cathode and the soluble photocatalyst‐phthalein iron through π–π interaction, which can effectively increase the three‐phase reaction interface, facilitating the rapid separation and the transportation of photogenerated electrons and holes, thus improving the photocatalytic efficiency and the reaction kinetics of Li─O2 battery. Moreover, the FePc soluble photocatalysts induced the dual growth modes of surface growth and solution‐mediated growth pathways for the discharge products lead to an additional discharge capacity in the Li─O2 battery. Accordingly, the battery exhibits a lower overpotential of 0.33 V between discharge and charge plateaus at a current density of 0.01 mA cm−2, displaying the excellent cyclic stability (remaining a round‐trip efficiency of 81.1% after 130 cycles). Photo-assisted Zn-air batteries can accelerate the kinetics of oxygen reduction and oxygen evolution reactions (ORR/OER); however, challenges such as rapid charge carrier recombination and continuous electrolyte evaporation remain. Herein, for the first time, piezoelectric catalysis is introduced in a photo-assisted Zn-air battery to improve carrier separation capability and accelerate the ORR/OER kinetics of the photoelectric cathode. The designed microhelical catalyst exploits simple harmonic vibrations to regenerate the built-in electric field continuously. Specifically, in the presence of the low-frequency kinetic energy that occurs during water flow, the piezoelectric-photocoupling catalyst of poly(vinylidene fluoride-co-trifluoroethylene)@ferric oxide(Fe@P(V-T)) is periodically deformed, generating a constant reconfiguration of the built-in electric field that separates photogenerated electrons and holes continuously. Further, on exposure to microvibrations, the gap between the charge and discharge potentials of the Fe@P(V-T)-based photo-assisted Zn-air battery is reduced by 1.7 times compared to that without piezoelectric assistance, indicating that piezoelectric catalysis is highly effective for enhancing photocatalytic efficiency. Background: The consistency of pancreatic apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) values and intravoxel incoherent motion (IVIM) parameter values across different magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) devices significantly impacts the patient's diagnosis and treatment., Aim: To explore consistency in image quality, ADC values, and IVIM parameter values among different MRI devices in pancreatic examinations., Methods: This retrospective study was approved by the local ethics committee, and informed consent was obtained from all participants. In total, 22 healthy volunteers (10 males and 12 females) aged 24-61 years (mean, 28.9 ± 2.3 years) underwent pancreatic diffusion-weighted imaging using 3.0T MRI equipment from three vendors. Two independent observers subjectively scored image quality and measured the pancreas's overall ADC values and signal-to-noise ratios (SNRs). Subsequently, regions of interest (ROIs) were delineated for the IVIM parameters (true diffusion coefficient, pseudo-diffusion coefficient, and perfusion fraction) using post-processing software. These ROIs were on the head, body, and tail of the pancrease. The subjective image ratings were assessed using the kappa consistency test. Intraclass correlation coefficients (ICCs) and mixed linear models were used to evaluate each device's quantitative parameter values. Finally, a pairwise analysis of IVIM parameter values across each device was performed using Bland-Altman plots., Results: The Kappa value for the subjective ratings of the different observers was 0.776 ( P < 0.05). The ICC values for inter-observer and intra-observer agreements for the quantitative parameters were 0.803 [95% confidence interval (CI): 0.684-0.880] and 0.883 (95%CI: 0.760-0.945), respectively ( P < 0.05). The ICCs for the SNR between different devices was comparable ( P > 0.05), and the ICCs for the ADC values from different devices were 0.870, 0.707, and 0.808, respectively ( P < 0.05). Notably, only a few statistically significant inter-device agreements were observed for different IVIM parameters, and among those, the ICC values were generally low. The mixed linear model results indicated differences ( P < 0.05) in the f -value for the pancreas head, D -value for the pancreas body, and D -value for the pancreas tail obtained using different MRI machines. The Bland-Altman plots showed significant variability at some data points., Conclusion: ADC values are consistent among different devices, but the IVIM parameters' repeatability is moderate. Therefore, the variability in the IVIM parameter values may be associated with using different MRI machines. The lack of stable solid-state electrolytes (SSEs) with high-ionic conductivity and rational design of electrode/electrolyte interfaces remains challenging for solid-state lithium batteries. Here, for the first time, a high-performance solid-state lithium-oxygen battery is developed based on the Li-ion-conducted hydrogen-bonded organic framework (LHOF) electrolyte and the core-shell HOF-DAT@CNT cathode with a few layers of HOF-DAT on surface of carbon nanotubes. Benefiting from the abundant dynamic hydrogen bonding network in LHOF-DAT SSEs, fast Li+ ion transport (2.2 × 10-4 S cm-1), a high Li+ transfer number (0.88), and a wide electrochemical window of 5.05 V are achieved. Symmetric batteries constructed with LHOF-DAT SSEs exhibit a stably cycled duration of over 1400 h, which mainly stems from the jumping sites that promote a uniformly high rate of Li+ flux and the hydrogen-bonding network structure that can relieve the structural changes during Li+ transport. LHOF-DAT SSEs-based Li-O2 batteries exhibit high specific capacity (10335 mAh g-1), and stable cycling life up to 150 cycles. Moreover, the solid-state lithium metal battery with LHOF-DAT SSEs endow good rate capability (128.8 mAh g-1 at 1 C), long-term discharge/charge stability (210 cycles). Chemically self-recharging zinc ion batteries (ZIBs), which are capable of auto-recharging in ambient air, are promising in self-powered battery systems. Nevertheless, the exclusive reliance on chemical energy from oxygen for ZIBs charging often would bring some obstacles in charging efficiency. Herein, we develop photo-assisted chemically self-recharging aqueous ZIBs with a heterojunction of MoS2/SnO2 cathode, which are favorable to enhancing both the charging and discharging efficiency as well as the chemical self-charging capabilities under illumination. The photo-assisted process promotes the electron transfer from MoS2/SnO2 to oxygen, accelerating the occurrence of the oxidation reaction during chemical self-charging. Furthermore, the electrons within the MoS2/SnO2 cathode exhibit a low transfer impedance under illumination, which is beneficial to reducing the migration barrier of Zn2+ within the cathode and thereby facilitating the uniform inserting of Zn2+ into MoS2/SnO2 cathode during discharging. This photo-assisted chemical self-recharging mechanism enables ZIBs to attain a maximum self-charging potential of 0.95 V within 3 hours, a considerable self-charging capacity of 202.5 mAh g-1 and excellent cycling performance in a self-charging mode. Cascade radical cyclization constitutes an atom- and step-economic route for rapid assembly of polycyclic molecular skeletons. Although an array of redox-active metal catalysts has recently shown robust applications in enabling various catalytic cascade radical processes, the use of free organic radical as the catalyst, which is capable of triggering strategically distinct cascades, has rarely been developed. Here, we disclosed that the benzimidazolium-based N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC)-boryl radical is capable of catalyzing cascade cyclization reactions in both intra- and intermolecular pathways, assembling [5,5] fused bicyclic and [6,6,6] fused tricyclic molecules, respectively. The catalytic reactions start with the chemo- and regioselective addition of the boryl radical catalyst to a tethered alkene or alkyne moiety, followed by either an intramolecular formal [3+2] or an intermolecular [2+2+2] cycloaddition process to construct bicyclo[3.3.0]octane or tetrahydrophenanthridine skeletons, respectively. Eventually, a β-elimination occurs to release the boryl radical catalyst, completing a catalytic cycle. Li-CO 2 batteries have received significant attention owing to their advantages of combining greenhouse gas utilization and energy storage. However, the high kinetic barrier between gaseous CO 2 and the Li 2 CO 3 product leads to a low operating voltage (<2.5 V) and poor energy efficiency. In addition, the reversibility of Li 2 CO 3 has always been questioned owing to the introduction of more decomposition paths caused by its higher charging plateau. Here, a novel "trinity" Li-CO 2 battery system was developed by synergizing CO 2 , soluble redox mediator (2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidoxyl, as TEM RM), and reduced graphene oxide electrode to enable selective conversion of CO 2 to Li 2 C 2 O 4 . The designed Li-CO 2 battery exhibited an output plateau reaching up to 2.97 V, higher than the equilibrium potential of 2.80 V for Li 2 CO 3 , and an ultrahigh round-trip efficiency of 97.1 %. The superior performance of Li-CO 2 batteries is attributed to the TEM RM-mediated preferential growth mechanism of Li 2 C 2 O 4 , which enhances the reaction kinetics and rechargeability. Such a unique design enables batteries to cope with sudden CO 2 -deficient environments, which provides an avenue for the rationally design of CO 2 conversion reactions and a feasible guide for next-generation Li-CO 2 batteries., (© 2024 Wiley‐VCH GmbH.)
