This article applies Noble laureate physicist Philip W. Anderson’s “More is different” principle in the context of social media websites and content regulation of them. The author of this article argues the necessity of aggressive content curation of these sites and discusses previous and upcoming cases in the United States Supreme Court to bring ownership of this content regulation into the discussion.
