Superwetting aerogel is a promising alternative for the remediation of emulsified oily wastewater for its high porosity combined with extreme wettability enabled high separation performances to emulsion wastewater. However, it remains challenging for superwetting aerogels to accomplish high-performance dual separation to surfactant-stabilized oil-in-water (O/W) and water-in-oil (W/O) emulsions with high stability. Herein, an environmentally benign superamphiphilic composite aerogel was prepared by a green synthesis route that relied on the utilization of natural amphiphilic biomass. Collagen fibers (CFs) were utilized to construct the three-dimensional (3D) supramolecular skeleton of aerogel to provide high storage capacity of water/oil and outstanding capillary effect to boost the mass transfer. The two-dimensional (2D) lamellar structure of gelatin (Gel) was further grown on the skeleton of CFs aerogel to play the role for simultaneously enhanced demulsifying capability and spreading of emulsions. The as-prepared superamphiphilic aerogel enabled the separation of highly stable surfactant-stabilized O/W and W/O emulsions with high separation efficiency and flux. Excellent recycling performances and anti-fouling performance were also confirmed. Our investigations therefore demonstrated that the structural engineering of superamphiphilic aerogel is a promising way to realize high-performance dual separation of surfactant-stabilized O/W and W/O emulsion wastewater. The increasing concerns about health have led to a growing demand for high‐quality fried foods. The potential uses of Ligustrum robustum (Rxob.) Blume, a traditional tea in China, as natural additives to enhance the quality of starchy food during frying was studied. Results indicated that L. robustum polyphenols extract (LREs) could improve the quality of fried starchy food, according to the tests of color, moisture content, oil content, texture property, and volatile flavor. The in vitro digestion results demonstrated that LRE reduced the final glucose content from 11.35 ± 0.17 to 10.80 ± 0.70 mmol/L and increased the phenolic content of fried starch foods from 1.23 ± 0.04 to 3.76 ± 0.14 mg/g. The appearance and polarizing microscopy results showed that LRE promoted large starch bulges on the surface of fried starchy foods. Meanwhile, X‐ray diffraction results showed that LRE increased the intensity of characteristic diffraction peak of fried starch with a range of 21.8%–28%, and Fourier transform infrared results showed that LRE reduced the damage to short‐range order structure of starch caused by the frying process. In addition, LRE increased the aggregation of starch granules according to the SEM observation and decreased the enthalpy of starch gelatinization based on the differential scanning calorimetry results. The present results suggest that LREs have the potential to be utilized as a natural additive for regulating the quality of fried starchy food in food industries. Practical Application: The enhancement of L. robustum polyphenols on the quality of starchy food during frying was found, and its mechanisms were also explored. Advanced X- and γ-ray-shielding materials are conventionally designed and fabricated via the uniform dispersion of high-Z elements into the substrate. These soluble high-Z elements considerably reduced the particle size of functional components; however, the as-obtained composites exhibited weak absorption region at 40-80 keV and poor water resistance. To address these issues, such materials are fabricated by introducing cerium and tungsten into regenerated collagen fibers (RCFs) using a "dual impregnation-desolvation" strategy. The uniform dispersion of functional components is achieved via the in situ generation of cerium-tungsten nanoparticles (CeW NPs) under multiple impregnating and desolvating cycles; as a result, the CeW NPs achieved an ultrasmall particle size of 17.15 nm. Benefiting from the ultrasmall particle size and uniform dispersion of CeW NPs, the fabricated CeW-RCF composites exhibit satisfactory X- and γ-ray-shielding capabilities with an ultrahigh mass attenuation coefficient (MAC) of 5.9 cm 2  g -1 at 83 keV, higher than that of lead plates. The CeW-RCF composites also exhibit outstanding mechanical strength, low density, and high air permeability, demonstrating their superior wearability. Selective hydrogenation of lignin-derived phenolic compounds is an essential process for developing the sustainable chemical industry and reducing dependence on nonrenewable resources. Herein, a composite C-SiO2 material (DGC) was prepared via the stepwise pyrolysis and steam activation of the distiller's grains, a fermentation solid waste from the Baijiu industry. After Ru loading, Ru/DGC was used for the catalytic hydrogenation of phenol to cyclohexanol. Steam activation remarkably increased the hydrophilicity and specific surface area of DGC and introduced oxygen-containing functional groups on the surface of DGC, promoting the adsorption of Ru3+. Furthermore, the steam activation of DGC promoted the graphitization of the carbon matrix and formed Si-H/Si-OH bonds on the SiO2 surface. The benzene ring of phenol interacted with the carbon matrix via π-π stacking, and the hydroxyl group of phenol interacted with SiO2 via hydrogen bonding. The synergistic interactions of phenol at the C-SiO2 interface enhanced phenol adsorption to promote the hydrogenation. Consequently, 100% of phenol was hydrogenated to cyclohexanol at 60 °C within 30 min. Furthermore, the optimized catalyst exhibited high activity for phenol hydrogenation even after four reuse cycles. Nonhealing skin wounds are a problematic complication associated with diabetes. Therapeutic gases delivered by biomaterials have demonstrated powerful wound healing capabilities. However, the cellular responses and heterogeneity in the skin regeneration process after gas therapy remain elusive. Here, we display the benefit of the carbon monoxide (CO)-releasing hyaluronan hydrogel (CO@HAG) in promoting diabetic wound healing and investigate the cellular responses through single-cell transcriptomic analysis. The presented CO@HAG demonstrates wound microenvironment responsive gas releasing properties and accelerates the diabetic wound healing process in vivo . It is found that a new cluster of Cxcl14 + fibroblasts with progenitor property is accumulated in the CO@HAG-treated wound. This cluster of Cxcl14 + fibroblasts is yet unreported in the skin regeneration process. CO@HAG-treated wound macrophages feature a decrease in pro-inflammatory property, while their anti-inflammatory property increases. Moreover, the TGF-β signal between the pro-inflammatory (M1) macrophage and the Cxcl14 + fibroblast in the CO@HAG-treated wound is attenuated based on cell-cell interaction analysis.
