When solving nonlinear algebraic equations that arise from discretization using the finite element method (FEM), it is often observed that the standard Newton-Raphson (N-R) iteration either fails to converge or necessitates a large number of iterations in the vicinity of critical points. This work proposes an additional numerical strategy, known as the Potra-Pták iterative cycle, to improve the efficiency of solving highly nonlinear structural problems. Therefore, the focus here is on making the nonlinear solver more robust and efficient, allowing the analysis of more complex nonlinear structures. In the Potra-Pták iterative cycle, two corrections of the objective function (energy function) are performed. The introduction of a second correction in the iterative cycle makes the Potra-Pták strategy more efficient than the standard or modified N-R iterations. This numerical strategy was implemented in the homemade Computational System for Advanced Structural Analysis (CS-ASA) program. The program is based on the FEM and is capable of performing static and dynamic nonlinear analysis of steel, concrete, and composite structures, and its efficiency is then verified through the analysis of slender frames and arches. Purpose: This research proposes an adapted version of Business Model Canvas (BMC) as a potential strategic tool for the design of the business model of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). In the context of fifth-generation universities, the University-Model Canvas (Unicanvas) offers a solution to some limitations of traditional strategic tools. Unicanvas aims to be a critical visual and dynamic tool to address the new challenges faced by universities such as internationalization, digitalization, sustainability, and corporate social responsibility., Research Methods/approach: We adapt the strategic building blocks, in which some of the BMC blocks have been renamed and an achievement block has been added. We reflect theoretically on the peculiarities of each block in the context of universities to explain the versatility of the tool for designing university business models tailored to different value propositions and for various beneficiaries., Findings and Implications: Unicanvas offers universities the flexibility and dynamism to adapt their different business models to various forms of value creation that arise from their growing number of beneficiaries, missions, and the new trends and challenges they face.. Mindfulness witnessed a substantial popularity surge in the past decade, especially as digitally self-administered interventions became available at relatively low costs. Yet, it is uncertain whether they effectively help reduce stress. In a preregistered (OSF https://doi.org/10.17605/OSF.IO/UF4JZ ; retrospective registration at ClinicalTrials.gov NCT06308744 ) multi-site study (n sites  = 37, n participants  = 2,239, 70.4% women, M age  = 22.4, s.d. age  = 10.1, all fluent English speakers), we experimentally tested whether four single, standalone mindfulness exercises effectively reduced stress, using Bayesian mixed-effects models. All exercises proved to be more efficacious than the active control. We observed a mean difference of 0.27 (d = -0.56; 95% confidence interval, -0.43 to -0.69) between the control condition (M = 1.95, s.d. = 0.50) and the condition with the largest stress reduction (body scan: M = 1.68, s.d. = 0.46). Introduction: Most caregivers of people living with dementia will experience bereavement within 10 years, but study of and support for their needs rarely persists following the death of their care recipients. A single model that leverages theoretical insights as well as observation from lived experience might help identify who will have greater difficulty following dementia-related bereavement and suggest core mechanisms to target to relieve clinical and subclinical consequences. The millions of existing bereaved dementia caregivers likely have considerable insight into ways to improve experience. Rather than creating interventions from scratch, researchers might leverage those insights to more rapidly improve the lives of bereaved dementia caregivers., Methods and Analysis: This study uses a transformative mixed methods approach to explore the needs of caregivers for individuals with Alzheimer's disease (AD) and AD-related dementias, incorporating both quantitative surveys (n=400) and qualitative semistructured interviews (n=45) across diverse subgroups. The study described in this protocol aims to quantitatively test a new model based on self-determination theory to help understand when and why bereaved dementia caregivers experience better and worse outcomes following bereavement. The study also aims to qualitatively explore the ways that bereaved dementia caregivers might meet their needs to inform future interventions., Ethics and Dissemination: The study adheres to institutional guidelines, ensuring participant consent and minimising risks through verbal consent procedures and the removal of personal identifiers from survey responses.
