The feasibility analysis of offshore floating charging stations (FCS) incorporating renewable energy sources (RES) in India and around the world presents a promising and pioneering solution to meet the emerging demands of maritime transport systems for sustainable development. The global shift towards sustainable transportation supports the increasing adoption of electric vessels (E-vessel), which forces the inclusion of innovative solutions for their reliable operation. This study includes a feasibility analysis of FCS combined with an energy management system for reliable operation. A real-time analysis was conducted at an offshore location in the Arabian Sea, near Gujrat, India, to assess the operational and implementation possibilities of FCSs in India, especially in the Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ). An appropriate energy management system in the FCS tackles E-vessel demand changes, real-time variations in RES, and energy flow balance with reduced reliance on backup energy systems. The findings demonstrated a reduction of 70.2% in the backup energy requirement for the FCS, and the energy management system ensured that the FCS had an immense improvement in excess RES support to meet additional E-vessel demands. This paper also included a comparative analysis between an offshore location in India and one in Europe. This study underscores the potential of FCS to enhance the adoption of E-vessels in India’s and global marine transportation.

Fibrin-associated large B-cell lymphoma (FA-LBCL) is a rare type of lymphoma usually associated with Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) infection. We report a case incidentally detected in a right ovarian mass of a 53-year-old woman. The patient presented with bloating and weight gain over 8 months. Imaging studies showed a 20.7 cm, complex right adnexal mass. Total abdominal hysterectomy and bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy were performed. Macroscopic examination revealed a 25 x 18.5 x 9.5 cm predominantly cystic right ovarian mass with focal solid areas. Microscopically, most of the mass was a leiomyoma with hyaline necrosis and extensive cystic degeneration. In areas, the cyst showed focally necrotic, fibrinous material associated with small aggregates of round and atypical lymphoid cells with prominent karyorrhexis and mitotic activity These large cells were confined within the cystic spaces. Immunohistochemical analysis showed that the atypical cells were positive for CD20, CD30, CD79a and MUM1/IRF4, and were negative for CD3, CD10 and BCL6, supporting B-cell lineage. In situ hybridization for Epstein-Barr virus-encoded RNA (EBER ISH) was also positive in the atypical cells supporting the diagnosis of EBV-positive fibrin-associated large B-cell lymphoma. The patient subsequently received four cycles of chemotherapy using rituximab, cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine and prednisone (R-CHOP). Computed tomography (CT) scan of the neck, chest, abdomen and pelvis 5 months after the last chemotherapy cycle showed no evidence of disease. After a follow-up of 17 months, the patient is alive with no evidence of disease. Over the last decade, the environmental and wellness cost of antibiotic drug resistance to the societies have been astounding and require urgent attention Metal oxide nanomaterials have been achieved a pull-on deal with its entire applications in biological and photocatalytic applications. The present study conducts a comparative investigation on chemical and biogenic synthesis of zirconium dioxide (ZrO 2 ) nanoparticles aimed at enhancing their efficacy in their applications. The plant extract of Passiflora edulis act as a reducing and capping properties offering a sustainable and eco-friendly alternative. ZrO 2 nanoparticles have drawn a lot of scrutiny owing to their potential uses in numerous fields, including medicine and environmental remediation. Thereby produced ZrO 2 nanoparticles were synthesized by employing sustainable techniques, and their successful production and their uses were confirmed by characterization by XRD, FTIR, UV-visible spectroscopy, SEM, EDAX, PL, TEM, XPS, TGA and Raman spectroscopy. The zirconia nanoparticles synthesized using chemical and green methods exhibited ultraviolet-visible (UV-Vis) absorption maxima at 221 and 224 nm, respectively, demonstrating their synthesis. X-ray diffraction research revealed that the nanoparticles possess a tetragonal shape, with mean particle sizes of 11 nm and 7 nm, respectively. The synthesized ZrO 2 nanoparticles (ZrO 2 and Ext-ZrO 2 ) exhibited inhibitory effects against Gram-positive strains (Bacillus subtilis and Staphylococcus aureus) and Gram-negative germs (Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas aureus), with zones of inhibition measuring (12, 8 mm), (8, 11 mm), (12, 15 mm), and (7, 12 mm) correspondingly. The antitumor activity of ZrO 2 and Ext-ZrO 2 was assessed using human colon cancer cells (HT29). The MTT assay was employed to assess the cytotoxicity of ZrO 2 nanospheres on the HT-29 cell line at various concentrations (7.5, 15.6, 31.2, 62.5, 125, 250, and 500 μg/ml). The HT29 cell line exhibits a reduction in cell viability from 96 % to 34 % when the concentration of ZrO 2 nanoparticles escalates. The photocatalytic activity of ZrO 2 and Ext-ZrO 2 exhibited absorbance deterioration at around 445 nm, resulting in the discoloration of Rh B dye under UV light irradiation after 100 min, achieving maximal degradation rates of 96 % and 99 %, respectively. Objective: Multi-day assessments accurately identify patients with left-sided breast cancer who are ineligible for irradiation in Deep Inspiration Breath Hold (DIBH) and minimise on-couch treatment time in those who are eligible. The challenge of implementing multi-day assessments in resource-constrained settings motivated the development of a machine learning (ML) model using data only from the 1st day of assessment to predict DIBH ineligibility., Methods: This prospective cohort study used data from 202 patients collected between January and December 2023 for model development. Patient-related and DIBH assessment-related variables (upper, lower, and average breath-hold amplitude; average breath-hold duration; breath-hold consistency) were included. Nine ML algorithms (and three modelling strategies) were evaluated, and a decision curve analysis was used to select the best model. The best model was temporally validated on a prospective dataset of 47 patients (January to March 2024). Further, a clinical impact study on another prospective cohort of 64 patients (April to August 2024) was performed, to assess its practical utility by comparing its predictions with the clinical team's decision to treat a patient in DIBH or not., Results: The uncalibrated gradient-boosting ensemble model demonstrated the highest performance [AUC (95 % CI) = 0.803 (0.686-0.941); Recall = 0.526] and net benefit in decision curve analysis. Key predictors included average breath-hold duration and lower breath-hold amplitude levels. The clinical impact study suggests that the model reduces the need for additional DIBH assessments by up to 20 % without misclassifying eligible patients., Conclusion: The developed ML model accurately predicts DIBH ineligibility using only first-day DIBH assessment data and could be a decision aid for patient selection in resource-constrained or busy departments. Cervical cancer, while preventable through screening and treatment of cervical precancer, remains a global challenge with a disproportionately high burden of disease in resource-limited settings, especially in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). Lack of affordable, easy-to-use screening and diagnostic tests contributes to this disparity. Most commercially available tests are not appropriate for use in LMICs due to resource constraints. Specifically, HPV mRNA and oncoprotein tests that have high specificity for cervical precancer and cancer require complex sample preparation protocols and expensive instrumentation. To address these limitations, an HPV E7 oncoprotein assay for HPV16, 18, and 45 was developed that is appropriate for use at the point of care. The assay is paper-based, involves only five simple steps, and does not require instrumentation. A clinically relevant limit of detection was demonstrated with cellular samples. Additionally, clinical performance was demonstrated with a small pilot study (n = 19), in which the HPV E7 paper-based assay was found to have 95% accuracy when compared to histopathologic diagnosis of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia grade 2 or more severe (CIN2+). With further clinical validation, this assay could enable highly specific point-of-care testing for cervical precancer and cancer that is instrumentation-free, affordable, and ideal for use in resource-limited settings., Competing Interests: Declarations. To begin to address this issue, we formed a case reporting network of practitioners with an interest in inflammatory bowel disease across sub-Saharan Africa.
