In this work, we report the capacitance recovery behavior in the blue quantum dot light-emitting diode (QLED) by capacitance–voltage (C–V) characterizations. A comprehensive study of the C–V, dC/dV–V, and current density–voltage characteristics of pristine and shelf-aged devices suggests that capacitance recovery is associated with space charge-induced charge accumulation. At lower temperatures, the capacitance recovery in the shelf-aged device is efficiently suppressed due to the difficulty in building up the space charge, which supports our argument. Moreover, the capacitance recovery behavior of QLED only happens at low frequencies (a few hundred hertz), which is related to the time constant for charge accumulation at the selected voltage. The influence of chimeric antigen receptor T (CAR-T) cell therapy on platelet function in relapsed/refractory (R/R) multiple myeloma (MM) has not been thoroughly investigated. Our cohort comprised fifty MM patients treated with CAR-T cells. The mean platelet closure time (PCT) induced by collagen/adenosine diphosphate (CADP) in peripheral blood was significantly prolonged before lymphodepletion (195.24 ± 11.740 s) and notably reduced post-CAR-T cell therapy (128.02 ± 5.60 s), with a statistically significant improvement (67.22, 95% CI 46.91–87.53, P < 0.001). This post-treatment PCT was not significantly different from that of healthy controls (10.64, 95% CI 1.11–22.40, P > 0.05). Furthermore, a pronounced enhancement in PCT was observed in patients with a response greater than partial remission (PR) following CAR-T cell infusion compared to pre-treatment values (P < 0.001). An extended PCT was also associated with a less favorable remission status. In patients with cytokine release syndrome (CRS) grades 0–2, those with a PCT over 240.5 s exhibited a shorter progression-free survival (PFS), with median PFS times of 10.2 months for the PCT > 240.5 s group versus 22.0 months for the PCT ≤ 240.5 s group. Multivariate analysis revealed that a PCT value exceeding 240.5 s is an independent prognostic factor for overall survival (OS) in R/R MM patients after CAR-T cell therapy. The study demonstrates that CAR-T cell therapy enhances platelet function in R/R MM patients, and PCT emerges as a potential prognostic biomarker for the efficacy of CAR-T cell therapy. Background: Trailing parents, a distinct group emerging from China's rapid social change and urbanization, are experiencing migration in old age, posing challenges for their social adaptation. Existing research has mainly focused on the hardships faced by this group, but few studies have focused on how they cope with change and achieve some degree of successful social adaptation. This study aimed to understand the coping and social adaptation process of trailing parents in China. Methods: This study used a qualitative research approach. A total of 24 trailing parents were invited to participate in a semi-structured interview and share their experiences and efforts to cope with the many challenges. Kumpfer's resilience framework was used as the theoretical framework for the study design, data collection, and data analysis. Results: This study identified several intra-family and community stressors that trailing parents may face when moving to a new environment and uncovered five key resilience characteristics that may be triggered or fostered in the presence of these stressors, including physical fitness, psychological stability, open-mindedness, learning ability, and nurturing hobbies. Individuals with resilience traits have been observed to engage in positive cognitive processing and transform the new environment. Consistent with Kumpfer's resilience framework, this study revealed the dynamics of the stressors faced by trailing parents in the new environments, the role of resilience characteristics, and the critical influence of social support in shaping the interplay between the individual and the environment that enabled them to adapt positively. Conclusions: This study highlights the importance of fostering resilience traits and leveraging positive coping mechanisms to facilitate a smoother adaptation process for trailing parents. Despite the high therapeutic response achieved with B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA)-specific chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy in relapsed and refractory multiple myeloma (R/R MM), primary resistance and relapse exist with single-target immunotherapy. Here, we design bispecific BC19 CAR T cells targeting BCMA/CD19 and evaluate antimyeloma activity in vitro and in vivo. Preclinical results indicate that BC19 CAR specifically recognize target antigens, and BC19 CAR T cells mediate selective killing of BCMA or CD19-positive cancer cells. BC19 CAR T cells also exhibit potent antigen-specific anti-tumor activity in xenograft mouse models. We conduct an open-label, single-arm, phase I/II study of BC19 CAR T cells in 50 patients with R/R MM (ChiCTR2000033567). The primary endpoint was safety. BC19 CAR T cells are well tolerated with grade 3 or higher cytokine release syndrome in 8% of patients and grade 1 neurotoxic events in 4% of patients, which meet the pre-specified primary endpoint. Secondary endpoints include overall response rate (92%), median progression-free survival (19.7 months), median overall survival (19.7 months) and median duration of response (not reached). Our study demonstrates that bispecific BC19 CAR T cells are feasible, safe and effective in treating patients with R/R MM. CAR-T cell therapies targeting BCMA have shown promising responses in patients with multiple myeloma (MM), however primary resistance and relapse are frequently observed. Quantum dot light‐emitting diodes (QLEDs) is one of the most important components in the display field, and different structures have a certain impact on the final performance of the device. Previous QLEDs mainly use ZnO nanocrystals as the electron transport layer (ETL), but the chemical activity of ZnO nanocrystals under electric fields and moisture is not stable enough. To solve this problem, this paper studies the effects of TiO2 films with different thicknesses on the luminescence, current density and external quantum efficiency of QLED devices by using magnetron sputtered TiO2 as a new ETL. The experimental results show that the 50nm TiO2 film achieves the highest external quantum efficiency while maintaining favorable current density and brightness. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This paper introduces a flexible and uniformly‐dispersed quantum dot (QD) color filter (QDCF) fabricated for micro‐LED by photolithography. We studied the condition of PET films and concentration of QDs, the optimized QDCF exhibited high quantum yield (QY) up to over 70%, and a high optical density (OD) over 1.2. In this report, ZnSeTe‐based blue bottom‐emitting quantum dot light‐emitting diodes (QLEDs) with optical microcavity design were demonstrated. The microcavity is formed by the top reflective Ag electrode and the bottom semi‐transparent multilayer electrode, ITO/Ag/ITO. The conventional normal QLED device structure is sandwiched between microcavity. The results show the full width at half maximum (FWHM) of the device emission spectrum is reduced to 50% compared to the device without microcavity, and the tail at longer emission wavelengths is notably suppressed. Quantum dot light‐emitting diodes (QLEDs) have recently demonstrated great potential for next‐generation displays. By optimizing the device structure and film thicknesses, we achieved top‐emitting QLED devices with good performance metrics, including high brightness, efficiency, and low turn‐on voltage. Furthermore, we successfully fabricated single‐color active‐matrix quantum dot light emitting diode (AMQLED) micro display devices by integrating QLED with a Complementary Metal–Oxide– Semiconductor (CMOS) backplane. These devices exhibit high resolution, brightness, and image quality, underscoring the significant commercial value of QLED micro display devices in head‐mounted augmented reality/virtual reality (AR/VR) systems. This article discusses the aging behavior of Quantum Dot Light-Emitting Diodes (QLEDs) that use sputtered TiO2 as the Electron Transport Layer (ETL). The authors explain that while there have been advancements in improving the efficiency and lifetime of QLEDs, controlling and predicting device characteristics during storage and operation remains challenging. To address this issue, the authors introduced a sputtered TiO2 film as an alternative ETL, which offers promise in resolving these challenges. The findings indicate that devices incorporating a sputtered TiO2 film as the ETL exhibit a controllable and predictable aging curve, with a lower acceleration factor compared to conventional QLEDs. Relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma patients with extramedullary disease (EMD) have unfavorable prognosis and lack effective therapy. Chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell activities in EMD have yet to be determined; how EMD-specific microenvironment influences the clinical outcomes of CAR T-cell therapy remains of great interest. In this prospective cohort study, patients with histologically confirmed extra-osseous EMD were enrolled and treated with combined anti-BCMA and anti-CD19 CAR T-cell therapy from May 2017 to September 2023. Thirty-one patients were included in the study. Overall response occurred in 90.3% of medullary disease and 64.5% of EMD (p = .031). Discrepancies in treatment response were noted between medullary and extramedullary diseases, with EMD exhibiting suboptimal and delayed response, as well as shortened response duration. With a median follow-up of 25.3 months, the median progression-free and overall survival were 5.0 and 9.7 months, respectively. Landmark analysis demonstrated that progression within 6 months post-infusion is strongly associated with an increased risk of death (HR = 4.58; p = .029). Compared with non-EMD patients, patients with EMD showed inferior survival outcomes. Unique CAR-associated local toxicities at EMD were seen in 22.6% patients and correlated with the occurrence and severity of systemic cytokine release syndrome. To the cutoff date, 65% treated patients experienced EMD progression, primarily in the form of BCMA + progression. The pretherapy EMD immunosuppressive microenvironment, characterized by infiltration of exhausted CD8 + T cells, was associated with inferior clinical outcomes. CAR T cells have therapeutic activity in relapsed/refractory EMD, but the long-term survival benefits may be limited. EMD-specific microenvironment potentially impacts treatment.
