Background: The variations in non-coding RNA alterations and the host immune response between patients with bacterial and non-bacterial sepsis, along with their clinical characteristics, are largely unknown. Methods: The landscape of long non-coding RNA (lncRNA) and mRNA in whole blood cells from pediatric patients with bacterial sepsis or non-bacterial sepsis were characterized using an Arraystar human LncRNA microarray. Weighted correlation network analysis (WGCNA) were conducted to identify immune-related LncRNA-mRNA signatures. Least absolute shrinkage and selection operator (Lasso) regression and Ridge regression analysis were employed to develop a specific LncRNA-mRNA signature, serving as a discriminant classifier for bacterial and non-bacterial sepsis in children. Results: A total of 33 differentially expressed lncRNAs and 52 mRNAs were identified in pediatric patients with either bacterial sepsis or non-bacterial sepsis. Among these, 69 lncRNAs and mRNAs were pinpointed using WGCNA and found to be significantly correlated with clinical parameters. Further intersection analysis identified 12 lncRNAs and 16 mRNAs as immune-related signature for discerning bacterial infections in children with sepsis. Additionaly, the lncRNA-mRNA co-expression network highlighted the key lncRNAs (AC090159.1 and AC080129.2) and mRNAs (S100A8 and TCF7L2) as an infection score model. Lasso regression analysis revealed that this infection score model achieved an area under the received operating curve (AUROC) of 0.96 in the training set and 0.86 in the validation set. Ultimately, the expression levels of these 4 key lncRNAs and mRNAs showed significant correlation with CRP or PCT levels. Conclusion: The machine learning model, developed utilizing key lncRNAs (AC090159.1 and AC080129.2) and mRNAs (S100A8 and TCF7L2), demonstrates robust discrimination and calibration capabilities for distinguishing between bacterial and non-bacterial sepsis in children.

Abstract The upper tropospheric water vapor is a key component of Earth's climate. Understanding variations in upper tropospheric water vapor and identifying its influencing factors is crucial for enhancing our comprehension of global climate change. While many studies have shown the impact of El Niño-Southern Oscillation (ENSO) and global warming on water vapor, how they affect the upper tropospheric water vapor remains unclear. Long-term, high-precision ERA5 specific humidity data from the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) provided the data foundation for this study. On this basis, we successfully obtained the patterns of global warming (Independent Component 1, IC1) and ENSO (Independent Component 2, IC2) by employing the strategy of independent component analysis (ICA) combined with non-parametric optimal dimension selection to investigate the upper tropospheric water vapor variations and responses to ENSO and global warming. The results indicate that global warming and ENSO are the primary factors contributing to water vapor variations in the upper troposphere, achieving the significant correlations of 0.87 and 0.61 with water vapor anomalies respectively. Together, they account for 86% of the global interannual variations in water vapor. Consistent with previous studies, our findings also find positive anomalies in upper tropospheric water vapor during El Niño years and negative anomalies during La Niña years. Moreover, the influence extent of ENSO on upper tropospheric water vapor varies with the changing seasons.

Abstract Background Hyperemesis gravidarum (HG) is a severe form of pregnancy-related nausea and vomiting affecting 0.3–2.3% of pregnancies, which can lead to fluid, electrolyte, and acid–base imbalances, nutritional deficiencies, and weight loss, and is usually severe enough to require hospitalization. Abnormally elevated urinary ketones are commonly seen in patients with HG, and ketone bodies are free to pass through the placenta, and maternal hyperketonemia, with or without acidosis, is associated with an increased rate of stillbirth, an increased incidence of congenital anomalies, and impaired neurophysiologic development of the infant. This study investigates the obstetric outcomes of patients with HG and whether HG increases the incidence of cardiovascular disease in the offspring. Methods This study included 1020 pregnant women who were hospitalized in our hospital for HG and ultimately delivered in our hospital as well as pregnant women without HG in early gestation and delivered in our hospital from January 2019-January 2020, and we collected and followed up the clinical information of the pregnant women and their offspring. Results Pregnant women with HG were more likely to have severe urinary ketones, the rate of early miscarriage and mid-term miscarriage was significantly higher in women with HG compared to pregnant women without HG. Fetal and neonatal head and abdominal circumferences were smaller in HG group than in control group. Neonatal birth weight and length were also lower in the HG group and cardiovascular anomalies were more likely to occur in the offspring of women with HG when all births were followed up for 3 years. Conclusions HG may cause poor obstetric outcomes and was associated with the development of cardiovascular disease in the offspring of women with HG.

Background: Telomere shortening is strongly associated with cardiovascular aging and disease, and patients with shorter telomeres in peripheral blood leukocytes are at higher risk of cardiovascular diseases such as heart failure and atrial fibrillation (AF). Telomerase reverse transcriptase (TERT) maintains telomere length, and overexpression of TERT has been shown to reduce cardiomyocyte apoptosis and myocardial infarct size, and extend the lifespan of aged mice. However, the specific impact of TERT on the electrophysiology of cardiomyocytes remains to be elucidated. The aims of this study were to evaluate the role of TERT in Ca2+ homeostasis and mitochondrial function in atrial myocytes as well as the underlying mechanisms. Methods: TERT overexpressed and silenced HL-1 cells were constructed with lentiviruses, and the respective empty lentiviral vectors were used as negative controls. Then the patch clamp technique was used to record the electrophysiological characteristics such as cell action potential duration (APD) and L-type Ca2+ currents (ICa,L), flow cytometry was used to detect intracellular Ca2+ concentration and mitochondrial membrane potential (MMP), and the Seahorse assay was used to measure the oxygen consumption rate (OCR). Results: TERT silencing led to intracellular Ca2+ overload, shortened APD, decreased ICa,L current density, altered Ca2+ gating mechanism, decreased MMP and OCR, and increased reactive oxygen species (ROS), whereas TERT overexpression led to the reverse effects. Additionally, TERT silencing resulted in intracellular Ca2+ overload with decreased expression of the SERCA2a, CaV1.2, and NCX1.1, whereas TERT overexpression had opposing effects. Furthermore, we discovered that TERT could regulate the expression of p53 and peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor gamma coactivator 1-alpha (PGC-1α). The expression of PGC-1α was downregulated by the p53 agonist Tenovin-6 but upregulated by the p53 inhibitor PFTα. The effects of the PGC-1α inhibitor SR-18292 on intracellular Ca2+ and cell electrophysiology were similar to those of silencing TERT, whereas the PGC-1α agonist ZLN005 produced comparable outcomes to TERT overexpression. Conclusions: TERT silencing-induced Ca2+ overload and mitochondrial dysfunction may be one mechanism of age-related AF. Overexpression of TERT reduced the basis for arrhythmia formation such as AF, suggesting a favorable safety profile for TERT therapy. TERT regulated intracellular Ca2+ homeostasis and mitochondrial function through the p53/PGC-1α pathway. In addition, PGC-1α might be a novel target for AF, suggesting that intervention for AF should be not limited to abnormal cation handling.

Highlights: A flow-bed water purification system with an asymmetric solar-thermal and catalytic membrane is designed for synergistic solar-thermal desalination of seawater/brine and catalytic degradation of organic pollutants. The hydrogen bonding networks can be regulated by the abundant surface –OH groups and the in situ generated ions and radicals during the degradation process for promoting solar-driven steam generation. The de-solvation of solvated Na+ and subsequent nucleation/growth of NaCl are effectively inhibited by SO42−/HSO5− ions. Although solar steam generation strategy is efficient in desalinating seawater, it is still challenging to achieve continuous solar-thermal desalination of seawater and catalytic degradation of organic pollutants. Herein, dynamic regulations of hydrogen bonding networks and solvation structures are realized by designing an asymmetric bilayer membrane consisting of a bacterial cellulose/carbon nanotube/Co2(OH)2CO3 nanorod top layer and a bacterial cellulose/Co2(OH)2CO3 nanorod (BCH) bottom layer. Crucially, the hydrogen bonding networks inside the membrane can be tuned by the rich surface –OH groups of the bacterial cellulose and Co2(OH)2CO3 as well as the ions and radicals in situ generated during the catalysis process. Moreover, both SO42− and HSO5− can regulate the solvation structure of Na+ and be adsorbed more preferentially on the evaporation surface than Cl−, thus hindering the de-solvation of the solvated Na+ and subsequent nucleation/growth of NaCl. Furthermore, the heat generated by the solar-thermal energy conversion can accelerate the reaction kinetics and enhance the catalytic degradation efficiency. Solar‐driven steam generation has emerged as a sustainable technology for addressing freshwater scarcity. However, significant challenges still exist in developing high‐performance, multifunctional evaporators that are adept at both efficiently evaporating water and degrading pollutants, primarily because of the trade‐offs among functional designs. Here, a self‐floating solar evaporator is reported by functionalizing balsa wood with solar‐thermal conversion material carbon nanotubes and catalytic manganese dioxide (MnO2) nanoflowers for simultaneous solar evaporation and pollutant degradation. MnO2 nanoflowers are rich in oxygen vacancies that can effectively activate peroxymonosulfate to generate reactive oxygen species for efficient organic pollutant degradation. A distinctive non‐wetted porous interior structure and a precisely targeted water pathway are spontaneously established in the multifunctional evaporator, ensuring fast water supply, thermal insulation, efficient mass transfer, and high buoyancy. The resulting evaporators successfully combine an impressive evaporation rate of 2.74 kg m−2 h−1, a high pollutant degradation efficiency (98.3% for 100 mg L−1 tetracycline and 97.4% for 200 mg L−1 Methyl orange), and stable self‐floating and self‐standing capabilities that ensure long‐term operation stability even in complex real‐world environments. This work provides an approach to design multifunctional solar evaporators, ensuring strong alignment with practical requirements while expanding their potential application scenarios. SiC-coated C/C composites with mechanical damage were repaired by the heat treatment method and slurry painting–preoxidation. The effects of different process parameters on the microstructure, interface bonding and oxidation resistance of Si-SiC repair coatings at 1773 K for 10 h were studied. The results show that the repair coating is tightly bonded to the original coating and the C/C substrate, and there is no obvious interface. Under the optimal parameters, the weight reduction in the repaired specimen merely amounted to 0.32% subsequent to oxidation at 1773 K for 10 h, and the mass loss was 74.79% lower than that of the damaged specimen, being proximate to that of the intact specimen. The objective of this work lies in achieving a greater density of the coating within the repair zone by manipulating the diverse powder ratios and preoxidation temperatures in the repair slurry, thereby safeguarding the C/C composite material against oxidation during its service. It offers a convenient and highly efficient approach for the repair of coatings with substantial size defects, significantly prolonging the service life of the material. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Abstract The Halimedineae are marine green macroalgae that play crucial roles as primary producers in various habitats, including coral reefs, rocky shores, embayments, lagoons, and seagrass beds. Several tropical species have calcified thalli, which contribute significantly to the formation of coral reefs. In this study, we investigated the codon usage patterns and the main factors influencing codon usage bias in 16 chloroplast genomes of the suborder Halimedineae. Nucleotide composition analysis revealed that the codons of these species were enriched in A/U bases and preferred to end in A/U bases, and the distribution of GC content followed a trend of GC1 > GC2 > GC3. 30 optimal codons encoding 17 amino acids were identified, and most of the optimal codons and all of the over-expressed codons preferentially ended with A/U. The neutrality plot, effective number of codons (ENc) plot, and parity rule 2 (PR2) plot analysis indicated that natural selection played a major role in shaping codon usage bias of the most Halimedineae species. The genetic relationships based on their RSCU values and chloroplast protein-coding genes showed the closely related species have similar codon usage patterns. This study describes, for the first time, the codon usage patterns and characterization of Halimedineae chloroplast genomes, and provides new insights into the evolution of this suborder.

BackgroundA positive professional identity is key for nursing students in determining career direction and predicting future engagement in the profession. Despite its complexity and susceptibility to various influences, the factors shaping nursing students' professional identity remain poorly understood.ObjectivesThis study aims to investigate how perceived stress can directly and indirectly influence professional identity among nursing students, with self-control and self-directed learning ability as mediators.Materials and methodsA cross-sectional survey was conducted from October to December 2023, collecting data from 675 nursing students across five tertiary hospitals in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, China. The survey captured detailed data on sociodemographic characteristics, perceived stress, self-control, self-directed learning ability, and professional identity among the participants. Descriptive analysis and correlation matrices were used to analyze participant characteristics and assess bivariate correlations. The mediation model was analyzed using the PROCESS macro for SPSS.ResultsPerceived stress showed a direct and negative influence on professional identity among nursing students; self-control was shown to play a mediating role between perceived stress and professional identity; self-directed learning ability was shown to play a mediating role between perceived stress and professional identity; and self-control and self-directed learning ability were shown to play a chain mediating role between perceived stress and professional identity.ConclusionSelf-control and self-directed learning ability have a chain mediating role in between perceived stress and professional identity among nursing students. It suggests that nursing managers and educators can improve the self-control and self-directed learning ability of nursing students to mitigate the negative impact of perceived stress on professional identity.

[Objective] This study was aimed at investigating the variation relationship between soil crust and infiltration performance under continuous and intermittent rainfall conditions. [Methods] Three typical cultivated layer loesses were selected, and indoor simulated rainfall experiments were conducted to analyze the relationship between soil crust strength, cohesion, and infiltration performance under different rainfall conditions. [Results] (1) The infiltration performance decreased with the increase of continuous rainfall duration and intermittent rainfall events; under the same rainfall duration and intensity, the desilting effect of intermittent rainfall was higher than that of continuous rainfall. (2) Soil crust strength and cohesion increased with the increase of continuous rainfall duration and intermittent rainfall events; the infiltration performance of cinnamon soil and black earth was significantly linearly correlated with crust strength and cohesion (p < 0.05). The longer the continuous rainfall duration and the more frequent the intermittent rainfall events, the greater the soil crust strength, cohesion, and desilting effect. The infiltration performance of sandy soil was significantly nonlinearly correlated with crust strength and cohesion (p < 0.05). (3) The smaller the MWD and GMD of the crust, the worse the infiltration performance and the greater the desilting effect; furthermore, the correlation analysis results showed that the impact of intermittent rainfall on infiltration performance is higher. [Conclusion] Finally, under the same rainfall intensity, intermittent rainfall can form a more solid crust, which has a stronger weakening effect on soil infiltration performance. This study can provide a reference for the prevention and control of soil and water loss on the Loess Plateau and the effective utilization of water resources

Abstract [Objective] In unstable pollination environments, bisexual flowering plants often possess potential selfing ability. Given the mating cost of selfing, investigating selfing strategies in different environments are critical for the understanding of evolution of the mating systems. [Methods] To explore the selfing strategies of plants in the unstable pollination environments in early spring, we studied the flowering habits, pollinator groups, pollen dispersal dynamics, self-pollen transfer patterns, and mating systems in a natural population of Tulipa sinkiangensis, an early spring ephemeral plant. [Results] (1) T . sinkiangensis bloomed in early or mid April, with a single flowering period of 5-6 days. Flowers opened during the day and closed at night. Pollen dispersal started from the outer and appeared in a zippered order from bottom to top. (2) The pollinators were mainly bees and syrphids. Visiting frequencies were low, with great fluctuation among years, but the fruiting rates were generally higher in natural populations. (3) In the unstable pollination environment in early spring, the population was mainly outbred and partly self-inbred, forming a mixed mating system. The autonomous stamens movement during the closing of flowers in the evening promoted the autonomous self-pollination, and the massive deposition of self-pollen occurred on the 4th day after flowering, accounting for 50.22% of the total autonomous self-pollen deposition. It was a delayed self-pollination pattern, although promoting the occurrence of competing selfing. [Conclusion] Under limited pollination, the competing and delayed selfing promotes pollen deposition in T . sinkiangensis. This mating strategy that combined outcrossing, competing selfing, and delayed selfing flexibly responds to the unstable pollination environment in the early spring. It is an adaptation to the unstable pollination services under the low temperature condition in the early spring, and also a reproductive assurance strategy for the early spring ephemeral plants.

Abstract Background As indispensable reserves for the nursing workforce, undergraduate nursing students must possess self-directed learning abilities to consistently update their professional knowledge and adapt to the evolving demands of professional development. The acquisition of self-directed learning abilities can help undergraduate nursing students augment their theoretical knowledge and refine their clinical practice skills, thus fulfilling the demand from patients for high-quality nursing services. Hence, comprehending and investigating the factors that influence the development of self-directed learning abilities in nursing students is of paramount importance for nursing education and advancement of the nursing profession. Objectives This study investigated the status of and associations between perceived stress, psychological capital, and self-directed learning abilities among undergraduate nursing students. Additionally, it examines the mediating role of psychological capital in the relationship between perceived stress and self-directed learning abilities. Thus, aiming to provide nursing educators with new directions for enhancing self-directed learning abilities. Design A cross-sectional descriptive study. Methods In February and March 2023, 900 undergraduate nursing students from 10 nursing schools completed an online questionnaire. The questionnaire included measures of perceived stress, psychological capital, and self-directed learning ability. Data were analyzed using SPSS 27.0 and the PROCESS macro tool. Results The scores for perceived stress, psychological capital, and self-directed learning ability among undergraduate nursing students were 40.07 ± 5.90, 99.89 ± 16.59, and 87.12 ± 9.20, respectively. Abstract Background Artemisia selengensis, classified within the genus Artemisia of the Asteraceae family, is a perennial herb recognized for its dual utility in culinary and medicinal domains. There are few studies on the chloroplast genome of A. selengensis, and the phylogeographic classification is vague, which makes phylogenetic analysis and evolutionary studies very difficult. Results The chloroplast genomes of 10 A. selengensis in this study were highly conserved in terms of gene content, gene order, and gene intron number. The genome lengths ranged from 151,148 to 151,257 bp and were typical of a quadripartite structure with a total GC content of approximately 37.5%. The chloroplast genomes of all species encode 133 genes, including 88 protein-coding genes, 37 tRNA genes, and 8 rRNA genes. Due to the contraction and expansion of the inverted repeats (IR), the overlap of ycf1 and ndhF genes occurred at the inverted repeats B (IRB) and short single copy sequence (SSC) boundaries. According to a codon use study, the frequent base in the chloroplast genome of A. selengensis’ third codon position was A/T. The number of SSR repeats was 42–44, most of which were single nucleotide A/T repeats. Sequence alignment analysis of the chloroplast genome showed that variable regions were mainly distributed in single copy regions, nucleotide diversity values of 0 to 0.009 were calculated by sliding window analysis, 8 mutation hotspot regions were detected, and coding regions were more conserved than non-coding regions. Analysis of non-synonymous substitution (Ka) and synonymous substitution (Ks) revealed that accD, rps12, petB, and atpF genes were affected by positive selection and no genes were affected by neutral selection. Based on the findings of the phylogenetic analysis, Artemisia selengensis was sister to the genus Artemisia Chrysanthemum and formed a monophyletic group with other Artemisia genera. Conclusions In this research, the present study systematically compared the chloroplast genomic features of A. selengensis and provided important information for the study of the chloroplast genome of A. selengensis and the evolutionary relationships among Asteraceae species.

Background: The incidence of mobile phone addiction (MPA) is increasing in undergraduates and may lead to depression, anxiety, and sleep disorders. Undergraduate nursing students are important group for clinical services; therefore poor mental health has an important implications for the quality of future nursing work and the relationship between nurses and patients. Objectives: To explore the connection between organizational caring and MPA in Chinese undergraduate nursing students and to investigate the mechanisms of perceived stress and self-control in this relationship by constructing a chain mediation model. Design: A cross-sectional study. Methods: A total of 900 participants (age range 18–25 years, M = 20.99, SD = 1.58, 94.0 % female) were recruited from 10 universities in China. Data were collected using an online survey between February and March 2023. Organizational caring, subjective stress, self-control ability, and MPA among undergraduate nursing students were assessed. The unique experience of land reform in China holds significant implications for other nations in urgent need of liberating and developing their productivity, providing valuable insights and lessons. This study conducted a micro-level analysis of land reform in China, the United States, and India, focusing on the implications for other nations. Surveys were conducted on 459 households in 12 townships in Zhejiang and Sichuan provinces, China. A random sampling approach was employed, selecting 5 sample counties (cities, districts) across Jinhua, Shaoxing, and Chengdu. Within each county (city, district), 2–3 townships were randomly selected, and 2–3 villages were chosen from each township. Subsequently, 10–20 households were randomly surveyed in each village. Statistical analysis using descriptive statistics and the Logistic model revealed robust results with p values below 0.05 for key variables. China’s new urbanization strategy highlights the necessity of reforming the rural homestead system, particularly as higher urbanization rates prompt farmers to withdraw from and transfer their homesteads worldwide. Tailored homestead policies that consider regional disparities in urbanization levels are crucial. A micro-level survey underscores the impact of urbanization, household head identity, and age on farmers’ decisions regarding homestead exit and transfer. Addressing external pressures, efforts should prioritize the revitalization of rural areas and the promotion of sustainable development. This includes enhancing small and medium-sized cities, fostering on-site urbanization, and creating nearby employment opportunities for farmers. However, the effectiveness of these measures varies across regions and is influenced by local levels of marketization. Internally, there is a need to bolster skill training and vocational education for farmers. In summary, the policy recommendations stemming from the micro-level survey in this study offer valuable insights for land reform strategies and sustainable development initiatives, spanning from individual farmers to national policies. They also contribute to a deeper understanding for policymakers, providing a novel analytical perspective.

Chalcogenide perovskites represent a promising class of materials known for their robust stability, environmentally friendly composition, and intriguing optoelectronic characteristics. Their A-site cation is largely dependent on nonmagnetic Ca, Sr, Ba elements, showing little influences on the optoelectronic properties of chalcogenide perovskites. Here, by introducing magnetic element Eu as A-site cation, we present a comprehensive investigation into the crystal structures, band characteristics, optoelectronic features, and magnetic behaviors of EuHfS3, targeting for photovoltaics. EuHfS3 adopts a distorted perovskite structure within the Pnma space group. This structure allows for various magnetic configurations, setting foundations for multiple photovoltaic effect. The conduction band maximum primarily originates from the Hf 5d orbitals, akin to SrHfS3. Intriguingly, the presence of Eu spin-up 4f orbitals lifts the covalence band minimum, consequently narrowing the band gap of EuHfS3 (1.6 eV), which is suitable for absorber layer in p-i-n junction solar cells. Moreover, zero field cooled magnetization measurements reveal antiferromagnetic behavior in EuHfS3, indicating further spin photovoltaic effect. The integration of magnetic properties into chalcogenide perovskites, in conjunction with their inherent semiconducting attributes, holds promise for future advancements in photovoltaics and other spintronic device technologies.

With the increasing in energy demands and carbon emissions of building and transport sectors, improving the penetration of renewable resources in these areas are inevitable trends. To further develop the theoretical method of energy integrated system in building/transportation area, load forecasting of commercial building complex and hydrogen vehicles are determined, a novel hybrid renewable energy integration system is presented and studied. Thermal, economic and environmental performances for poly-generation system are performed and optimized, optimal performance and configuration are obtained by NSGA-II algorithm and TOPSIS-Shannon entropy weight method. In addition, operating performance characteristics of integration system during typical weekday and weekend in different seasons are analyzed, the influences of critical parameters on comprehensive performances of integrated system are also conducted. The results showed that optimal exergetic efficiency, levelized cost of product (LCOP) and levelized CO 2 emissions of product (LCEP) are 12.61 %, 0.0711 $/kWh and 0.0185 kg/kWh. Furthermore, thermodynamic performances of proposed system decreases while LCOP and LCEP rise with the increasing in HVs stock. Biomass and purchased electricity prices have different impacts on system comprehensive performances. In general, this study provides a new alternative for multiple renewable energy integrated system optimization in building and transportation sectors. Abstract Anaplastic thyroid carcinoma (ATC) has a 100% disease-specific mortality rate. The JAK1/2-STAT3 pathway presents a promising target for treating hematologic and solid tumors. However, it is unknown whether the JAK1/2-STAT3 pathway is activated in ATC, and the anti-cancer effects and the mechanism of action of its inhibitor, ruxolitinib (Ruxo, a clinical JAK1/2 inhibitor), remain elusive. Our data indicated that the JAK1/2-STAT3 signaling pathway is significantly upregulated in ATC tumor tissues than in normal thyroid and papillary thyroid cancer tissues. Apoptosis and GSDME-pyroptosis were observed in ATC cells following the in vitro and in vivo administration of Ruxo. Mechanistically, Ruxo suppresses the phosphorylation of STAT3, resulting in the repression of DRP1 transactivation and causing mitochondrial fission deficiency. This deficiency is essential for activating caspase 9/3-dependent apoptosis and GSDME-mediated pyroptosis within ATC cells. In conclusion, our findings indicate DRP1 is directly regulated and transactivated by STAT3; this exhibits a novel and crucial aspect of JAK1/2-STAT3 on the regulation of mitochondrial dynamics. In ATC, the transcriptional inhibition of DRP1 by Ruxo hampered mitochondrial division and triggered apoptosis and GSDME-pyroptosis through caspase 9/3-dependent mechanisms. These results provide compelling evidence for the potential therapeutic effectiveness of Ruxo in treating ATC.
