The aim of this case study is to analyze the migratory flow in the Amazon region, considering cross-border migratory trends from a diachronic perspective. The evolution of the mobility of Amazonian countries by nationality and territorial entity of destination is observed, especially considering Brazil, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, Peru, and Bolivia, based on a review of the geographical, political, and economic aspects. In the first section, we address delimitations, inaccessible territories, and cross-border, documenting it since the eighteenth century. In the second section, we give an account of the main contemporary trends, in which the difficulty of the state to populate and control remains the existing connection between their localities and the political and economic centers in the interior and exterior of each country.
