The study aims to examine the impact of various behavioral biases such are overconfidence, representativeness, availability, anchoring and herding, and their effects on individual investment decisions in the case-developed country context of China. To achieve this, data was meticulously gathered from 362 participants active in the Shanghai stock market. Employing advanced analytical tools, particularly the Smart PLS 3.3.2 software and structural equation modelling (SEM), this study rigorously scrutinized the intricate relationships between behavioral biases and investment decisions. The findings of this study notably reveal that all examined behavioral biases exert a significant positive impact on investment decisions within the Anxin, Haitong, Shanxi, and China Galaxy stock markets. Remarkably, no substantial disparities in the effects of these biases on stock market trading were observed among these markets. Importantly, these findings bear exceptional significance within the context of a developed country like China. The implications extend to a wide spectrum of stakeholders, including government entities, regulatory bodies, practitioners, the academic community, industry professionals, and researchers. Regulatory authorities can leverage these insights to refine their strategies, practitioners can fine-tune their investment advisory approaches, and academia and researchers can build upon these findings to deepen the understanding of behavioral finance in the realm of stock market investments.

Objective: To investigate the influences of sufentanil (Suf) on the inflammatory response and chondrocyte apoptosis in rats with osteoarthritis (OA) by modulating Ras/Raf/mitogen-activated protein kinase kinase (MEK)/extracellular signal-regulated kinase (ERK) signaling pathway. Methods: SD rats were grouped into normal control group (NC group), blank control group (Blank group), low-dose Suf group (Suf-L group, 1 μg/kg), high-dose Suf group (Suf-H group, 5 μg/kg), Diacerein group (DC group, 54 mg/kg), and Suf-H+ML-099 (Ras/Raf/MEK/ERK pathway activator) group (5 μg/kg Suf+11.7 mg/kg ML-099), with 12 rats in each group. Except for the NC group, the other groups were all constructed OA rat models by transection of the medial meniscus tibial ligament of the right knee joint. After the modeling was successful, the corresponding drug treatment was carried out, and the rats in the NC group and the Blank group were intraperitoneally injected and gavaged with the same amount of normal saline, administer once a day for 3 weeks. Twenty-four hours after the last administration, the changes of tenderness threshold and thermal pain threshold of rats were monitored; serum levels of TNF- α, IL-1β and IL-6 were detected by ELISA; Safranin O-Fast green staining was used to detect the pathological changes of cartilage tissue; TUNEL staining was used to detect chondrocyte apoptosis; Western blot was used to detect the expressions of Ras/Raf/MEK/ERK signaling pathway protein and matrix metalloproteinase 13 (MMP-13) protein in cartilage tissue. Results: Compared with NC group, the tenderness threshold and heat pain threshold of rats in Blank group were decreased (P<0.05), and the pathological injury of cartilage tissue was serious, TNF-α, IL-1β, IL-6 levels, Mankin score, chondrocyte apoptosis rate, Ras, Raf, MEK, p-ERK1/2, MMP-13 protein expressions were increased (P<0.05); compared with the Blank group, the change trends of the corresponding indicators in Suf-L group, Suf-H group and DC group were opposite to the above (P<0.05); ML-099 attenuated the effect of high dose Suf on OA rats. Conclusion: Suf may attenuate the inflammatory response and chondrocyte apoptosis in OA rats by inhibiting the Ras/Raf/MEK/ERK signaling pathway. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Drawing upon leadership theory, we explored the relationship between leadership styles, learning orientation, and firm performance. We also tested the moderating role of organization culture between learning orientation and firm performance. To achieve the objectives, we shared a questionnaire with four Chinese industries: textile, manufacturing, finance, and telecommunications. As a result, 362 responses were received and analyzed using SPSS 25 and IBM AMOS 24. We conducted an exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and a confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) for the construct's reliability and validity before actually employing structural equation modeling (SEM) for modeled relationships. The results demonstrate that leadership style has considerably favorable effects on firm performance. Similarly, leadership style substantially influences learning orientation. Findings also reveal that learning orientation positively affects firm performance. Consequently, learning orientation positively mediates the relationship between leadership style and firm performance. Our study also found a significant positive moderating effect of organizational culture on learning orientation and firm performance. The results of our study offer practical implications for stakeholders, policymakers, and managers, giving them an overview of how and when choosing a leader with a particular style can impact their learning orientation and improve their performance. The intersection of Industry 4.0 technology (I4.0‐Tech) with sustainability (SUS) remains largely unexplored, particularly due to its interactions with supply chain visibility (SCV) and circular economy practices (CEP). To fill this gap, our study empirically examines I4.0‐Tech's impact on SUS through SCV and CEP. We utilized structural equation modeling to test the hypothesized relationships using data from a survey of 344 medium and large Chinese firms. The empirical findings support the indirect role of I4.0 through SCV, and CEP. I4.0‐Tech enables real‐time material and product tracking for SCV. Optimizing material utilization, fostering closed‐loop supply chains, and allowing circular product design enhance CEP. Furthermore, our findings show a positive relationship between SCV, CEP, and SUS. This highlights the need for robust supply chain capabilities in enabling I4.0‐Tech to drive SUS. This paradigm emphasizes recalibrating approaches to SCV and CEP‐focused frameworks to easily include and exploit I4.0‐Tech. This study contributes to the literature and gives actionable insights for managers and policymakers wanting to synergize I4.0‐Tech, SCV, and CEP in industrial processes to promote sustainability goals and a sustainable future. Simple Summary: The Internet of Things (IoT) can improve small-scale aquaponics, a sustainable farming method that combines fish farming with plant growing in water without soil, by making the process more efficient and profitable by optimizing resource use, closely monitoring water quality, and ensuring the best conditions for both fish and plants to thrive. Aquaponics is beneficial for the environment and can help ensure a steady food supply but presents challenges for small-scale farmers due to a lack of expertise in water chemistry and system upkeep, as well as high operational costs. Identified challenges in aquaponics operation include high water and energy costs, maintaining the right balance of fish and plants, and the risk of mosquitoes breeding in the water. This systematic review offers a comprehensive guide to setting up and maintaining an aquaponics system, including choosing the right fish and plants, designing the system, monitoring water quality, and feeding the fish. The importance of knowledge sharing among farmers is also highlighted to improve aquaponics practices. The integration of IoT into these systems can reduce the need for manual work and improve the availability of information related to system control, which could facilitate further adoption and optimization of aquaponics farming practices. Twelve commercial species exploited in the eastern Guangdong and southern Fujian waters were assessed using the Catch-Maximum Sustainable Yield (CMSY) and Bayesian Schaefer Model (BSM) methods. The carrying capacity (k), intrinsic rate of population growth (r), maximum sustainable yield (MSY), and relative biomass (Bend/k and B/BMSY) were estimated. The current stock status was defined by B/BMSY and fishing mortality (F/FMSY). The results indicate that seven stocks were overfished or below safe biological limits (B/BMSY < 0.5 or F/FMSY > 1), two stocks were in a recovery phase (0.5 < B/BMSY < 1, F/FMSY < 1), and three stocks were under sustainable fishing pressure with healthy biomass, capable of producing yields close to the MSY (B/BMSY > 1, F/FMSY < 1). The stock statuses are consistent with previous studies on the utilization of pelagic fisheries in the eastern Guangdong and southern Fujian waters and with those assessments in other waters. The results of the assessments suggest that these stocks could be expected to produce higher sustainable catches if permitted to rebuild; thus, more effective and proactive management is needed in this upwelling fishing ground. AbstractTo succeed in the global market, firms must prioritize quality over individual goals and preferences. One of the two primary approaches for ensuring quality is acceptance sampling, which is employed in statistical process control to inspect attributes of the product for acceptance. In acceptance sampling, the lot is either accepted or not-accepted based on predetermined acceptance criteria for inspection. This paper presents a proposed Bayesian double group sampling plan (BDGSP) for estimating quality regions. The binomial distribution is used to construct the likelihood function for both nonconforming and conforming products based on acceptance criteria. To calculate the average probability of acceptance, the beta distribution is used as a suitable prior distribution of the binomial distribution. Four distinct quality regions are predicted for various indicated producer’s and consumer’s risk levels. Based on various combinations of values for design parameters, the suggested plan generates variation point values. Risks for producers and consumers are related to acceptable quality level and limiting quality level. To track the effects of changes in the values of the specified parameters, operating characteristic curves are utilized. The escalating levels of CO2 emissions from the transportation sector have been observed to exert deleterious effects on human well‐being and environmental sustainability. To mitigate these emissions, it is imperative to consider the potential contributions of environmental policies and financial innovation. Thus, this study examines the effects of financial innovation and environmental policy (environmental tax–environmental technology) on transport‐related CO2 emission (TCO2E) for BICS (i.e., Brazil, India, China and South Africa), which are characterized by substantial industrialization, rising TCO2E and growing environmental concerns. The analysis is complemented by including control variables, notably economic growth and the transition to cleaner energy, to offer a nuanced and holistic perspective on the dynamics governing this critical subject matter. The research adopts a novel econometric approach cross‐sectionally augmented auto‐regressive distributed lags for benchmark estimation and fully modified ordinary least squares–dynamic ordinary least squares for robustness analysis from 2000/Q1‐2018/Q4. The findings revealed that financial innovation and economic growth bolster TCO2E and decrease environmental quality in the region. In contrast, environmental tax, environmental innovation and energy transition decrease TCO2E. With the development of technology, high-power lithium-ion batteries are increasingly moving towards high-speed discharge, long-term continuous output, instantaneous high-rate discharge, and miniaturization, and are being gradually developed towards the fields of electric tools, port machinery and robotics. Improving the power performance of batteries can be achieved from multiple dimensions, such as electrochemical systems and battery design. In order to improve the power performance of lithium-ion batteries, this paper proposes design methods from the perspective of electrochemical systems, which include increasing the high-rate discharge capacity and low impedance of the battery. This article also studies the preparation of high-power lithium-ion batteries. This article aims to improve the rate performance of batteries by studying high-performance cathode materials, excellent conductive networks, and high-performance electrolytes. This article successfully screened high-performance cathode materials by comparing the effects of different particle sizes of cathode materials on electrode conductivity and battery internal resistance. By comparing the effects of electrolyte additives under pulse cycling, high-quality electrolyte additive materials were selected. By comparing the effects of different types, contents, and ratios of conductive agents on electrode conductivity, battery internal resistance, high-quality conductive agents, and appropriate ratios were selected. Finally, a 10 Ah cylindrical high-power lithium-ion battery with a specific energy of 110 Wh/kg, pulse discharge specific power of 11.3 kW/kg, an AC internal resistance of ≤0.7 m Ω, a 10C full capacity discharge cycle of over 1700, a 30C full capacity discharge cycle of over 500, and a continuous discharge capacity of 10C–30C, and a pulse discharge capacity of over 100C was prepared. Trace elements in hot-spring waters are indicators for tracing hydrochemical processes, such as the deep circulation of geothermal water, the degree of water–rock interaction, redox reactions, the contamination of shallow water by thermal water, etc. In this study, 74 hot springs in the Xianshuihe–Xiaojiang Fault Zone (XSHF-XJF) were chosen for an investigation of the geochemical characteristics of trace elements using classic geochemical tools and multivariate statistical analysis. The results indicated (1) the hot-spring waters were mainly derived from atmospheric precipitation as indicated by δD and δ18O values that generally increased with decreasing elevations; (2) the high concentrations of B, As, Fe, and Mn in the waters, as well as the values of the Water Quality Index (WQI), indicated that the water quality was spatially heterogeneous and the hot-spring waters are not entirely suitable for drinking; and (3) B/Cl ratios showed that hot springs have different reservoir sources in the XSHF and XJF, respectively. The leaching of surrounding rock during water circulation contributed predominantly to the trace elements of the study's waters. Diversity of lithology was the main factor affecting their concentrations. In addition, deep circulation controlled by the fault could influence trace-element enrichment.
