Curricular adaptations as a strategy for learning are currently a requirement and priority of the national education system, as they are contemplated in the Organic Law of Intercultural Education. Therefore, this research analyzes the educational reality and, above all, how the application of curricular adaptation affects the development of skills of high school students. In the research it was possible to learn how to work on the development of curricular adaptations, taking into account concepts, importance and classifications, which will improve the sustainability of learning. The study had a qualitative approach, non-experimental descriptive design. Through the results we were able to know that curricular adaptations are of great importance for managers, teachers and students, who consider it a fundamental element in the process of individualization of teaching, which rebels in the educational transformation from a flexible and contextualized curricular design.
