As artificial intelligence (AI) advances rapidly, it has been incorporated into formal education to facilitate subject-based learning. Integration of AI technologies to support learning requires teachers to intentionally design AI-assisted learning. However, there have been a limited number of empirical studies investigating teachers' behavioural intentions to design AI-assisted learning. To explore the predictors of teachers' behavioural intentions to design AI-assisted learning and examine the structural relationships among these factors, the authors constructed a structural model of AI literacy, Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK), technostress, school support, teacher agency, teacher autonomy and behavioural intentions. Data from 312 K–12 in-service teachers in China were analysed. The results suggest that TPACK, school support, teacher agency and teacher autonomy positively predict teachers' behavioural intentions to design AI-assisted learning. However, AI literacy and technostress were not statistically associated with teachers' behavioural intentions. The COVID-19 pandemic caused unpredictable times and led to changes in tourism, sporting society, and events organisations. Sports events were postponed or cancelled. Indeed, there was a need to reconstruct the event circumstances for safety reasons. Therefore, this study aimed to provide insights into relationships between sports event quality, satisfaction, and behavioural intentions (repeated destination visits, positive word-of-mouth communication) during the implementation of COVID-19 security risk measures. The sample included 150 athletes from the U23 World Wrestling Championship organised in Belgrade, Serbia, in 2021. The sport event quality, satisfaction, and behavioral intentions were measured with a questionnaire. The proposed model was assessed using a confirmatory factor analysis with structural equation modeling using Smart PLS, SPSS, and AMOS. Results revealed a significant direct effect of the sport event quality (core dimension) and an indirect effect across satisfaction (tangibles and COVID-19 risk measures) on the athletes' behavioural intentions. As wrestlers lived in a „bubble" and competed without spectators during the competition, it is not a surprise that the core dimension of service quality, including the competition itself, the opening ceremony, organisation, time schedule, medal ceremonies, and the total quality of the event, has a significant impact for wrestlers' likelihood of coming back to the city or the country and to recommend the destination to others. Many people share travel experience on WeChat Moments (WM). At present, most scholars have analysed the phenomenon from the perspective of destination image construction, but few of them investigate the uniqueness of the WM platform and the social factors of WM are rarely discussed. Based on the social comparison theory, this paper regards the sharing of travel experience on WM as an inducing factor of upward social comparison in WM, and explores its influence on travel intention. The role of benign envy and potential tourists' self-presentation in this mechanism are also explored. Through experimental design and survey instruments, it is found that high-quality travel experience sharing on WM may increase potential tourists' travel intention. In addition, high-quality travel experience sharing can induce benign envy, which will increase potential tourists' travel intention as well. When the level of potential tourists' self-presentation is high, the relationship between WM travel experience sharing and benign envy is stronger. The results provide theoretical insights into travel experience sharing. A cornerstone of inclusive education is teacher's readiness to respond adequately to different educational needs of students in their diverse classroom. Differentiated instruction, referring to the process by which teachers carefully monitor students' needs and progress, and adapt their instruction according to these differences, is a means to meet the needs of students of different levels. High-quality differentiated instruction is a complex process for teachers which needs careful preparation. This makes teachers' intentions relating to differentiated instruction particularly relevant. In this article we compare two theoretical models to explain teachers' intentions to differentiate: the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) and Self-determination theory (SDT). Secondary school teachers (n = 180) responded to a questionnaire in which we measured their intentions and predictor variables relating to both of the theoretical models. Linear regression showed that both the TPB as well as the SDT model significantly predicted teachers' intentions (p <.01), but that the TPB model showed a better fit with the data (48 versus 32% explained variance). We conclude that in addition to the factors included in the TPB, autonomy might be a relevant factor in explaining teachers'intentions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Students' use of personal mobile devices (PMDs), including smartphones, tablets, and laptops, in mathematics classrooms globally has become feasible due to the implementation of the bring your own device (BYOD) initiatives and policies in schools. Students' academic use of PMDs in mathematics learning has been associated with increased motivation, enjoyment, and enhanced performance. While debates continue worldwide on the bans of PMDs in schools, it is noteworthy that students in Namibian basic education are not permitted to use PMDs in schools. This study employed a comparative nonexperimental quantitative research design to assess the perceived usefulness (PU) and behavioural intention (BI) to use PMDs in mathematics classrooms among 500 Namibian students and 209 teachers. The study employed a volunteer purposeful sampling method to select participating students and teachers from government schools in the Omusati and Khomas regions. Student selection was based on self-selection from full-class mathematics groups. Similarly, the study utilised volunteer purposeful sampling to recruit grades 4--12 mathematics teachers. Utilising structural equation modelling, the findings revealed that students expressed more positive ratings for PMD usefulness and intention than did teachers. Furthermore, PU significantly predicted students' BI to learn mathematics with PMDs in school. Multigroup confirmatory factor analysis supported configural, metric, and scalar invariance in PU and BI factor structures across both participant groups. However, when students' latent means of PU and BI are set to 0, the teachers' latent mean parameter estimates are negative, suggesting potential disparities. Teachers should recognise and leverage students' positive perceptions of PMDs to enhance motivation and engagement in mathematics learning. Simultaneously, ensuring consistent assessment across participant groups is essential, while addressing teachers' PMDs reservations through professional development and support remains crucial. This study examined how to form behavioural intentions in regards to using the extended Theory of Planned Behaviour (TPB) model. This study more specifically proposed the effect of the overall service quality on attitude. In addition, it was hypothesized that attitude, subjective norm and perceived behavioural control have a positive influence on intention to use. Lastly, this study investigated the moderating role of the employee type, which included robots and humans, in the proposed model. The study collected data from 320 travellers who received services from only service robots and from 316 travellers who received services only from human staff at Incheon Airport in South Korea. The data analysis indicated that the overall service quality has a positive influence on attitude. In addition, it was discovered that intentions to use is positively affected by attitude, subjective norm and the perceived behavioural control. Storytelling can be an effective strategy in shaping destination image and personality. Nevertheless, little research has examined the effect of this construct on destination image, destination personality, tourist attitudes and their behavioural intention. Based on a survey of 146 international tourists, the current study examines these relationships within the context of Iran. The results showed that storytelling has positive impacts on destination image, destination personality, and tourists' behavioural intention. Storytelling also affects the destination image, destination personality and behavioural intention of men and women, and women reported higher scores than men. The findings provide significant insights into the potential role of storytelling as a destination marketing strategy, especially for destinations that may potentially previously been perceived negatively in some markets. Recent research emphasizes the importance of Artificial Intelligence applications as supporting tools for students in higher education. Simultaneously, an intensive exchange of views has started in the public debate in the international educational community. However, for a more proper use of these applications, it is necessary to investigate the factors that explain their intention and actual use in the future. With the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT2) model, this work analyses the factors influencing students' use and intention to use Artificial Intelligence technology. For this purpose, a sample of 197 Greek students at the School of Humanities and Social Sciences from the University of Patras participated in a survey. The findings highlight that expected performance, habit, and enjoyment of these Artificial Intelligence applications are key determinants influencing teachers' intentions to use them. Moreover, behavioural intention, habit, and facilitating conditions explain the usage of these Artificial Intelligence applications. This study did not reveal any moderating effects. Utilizing the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology 2 (UTAUT2) framework, this research delved into the behavioral intentions and actual usage of fantasy sports gaming apps. The moderating influence of celebrity trustworthiness and risk propensity is also explored. The proposed hypotheses were tested using responses from a substantial sample of 460 sports fantasy gaming app users. The research deployed a mixed-method approach, combining both covariance-based and partial-least square structural equation modeling tech- niques. The investigation findings revealed an influence on behavioral intentions and actual use. Specifically, performance expectancy, hedonic motivation, habit, and social influence emerged as significant determinants affecting users’ intentions and behaviors. The study indicates a significant moderating role of celebrity trustworthiness on the relationship be- tween performance expectancy, hedonic motivation, habit, and social influence concerning behavioral intentions. Risk propensity moderated the relationship between behavioral inten- tions and actual usage behavior. As a contribution to the expanding literature, the research extended the application of the UTAUT2 framework to the context of sports fantasy gaming apps. The research also provides valuable insights for researchers and professionals associ- ated with sports fantasy gaming apps and future research directions.

This paper studies the factors that influence tourists' risk perceptions of various destinations with different attributes and sociocultural profiles. Factor analysis is utilised to investigate the determinants of risk perceptions, finding that they are influenced both by the type of risk (delinquency, health, accident, environment and catastrophe) and by the characteristics of the destination regarding the management of risk. Structural equations modelling is conducted to study the relationships between risk perceptions, destination image and visiting intentions across destinations. Multi-group analysis across different destinations proves that tourists' risk perceptions have different influences on destination image and visiting intentions. The results show that there are significant differences according to the predominant religion at the destinations, i.e., Muslin and Christian. The implication is that different dimensions of perceived risks and destination socio-culture contexts have different influences on the behaviour of tourists. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

With COVID-19 paralyzing street food businesses, street food vendors are trying to sustain their operations. The current study helps them by identifying the importance of five prominent stimuli viz. authenticity, quality, staff-service, ambience, and value for money in developing desire for street food in individuals in India. Furthermore, the study contributes by identifying the role of street food nostalgia (as a mediator) and perceived risk of COVID-19, age, and gender (as moderators) on the direct impact of each stimulus on the desire for street food. The study uses partial least squares path modelling to validate the hypotheses using SmartPLS. The findings are comparable to other developing Asian countries, as the proposed associations are validated with perceptual responses from three prominent cities and well-known street food destinations in India. The study showed the relative importance of the five-stimuli based on the stimulus-organism-response framework in developing a desire for street food. The findings suggest partial to complete mediation of street food nostalgia across the three samples. Lastly, the perceived risk of COVID-19 along with age and gender emerged as prominent moderators for many of the direct effects of stimuli on desires for street food. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The aim of this study is to examine the nature of the relationship (direct and indirect) between perceived quality aspects (PQ), memorable gastronomic experiences (MGE) and tourist behavioral intentions (BI) in two sustainable destinations in Croatia - Istra and Međimurje. A sample of 414 respondents was collected through a questionnaire. To examine the relationships between PQ, MGE and BI, the primary data were then subjected to PLS-SEM analysis. The findings of this study indicate that a stronger direct relationship between MGE and BI was found in Istria compared to Međimurje. Moreover, among tourists who visited Istria, MGE proved to be a stronger moderator between local food (LF) and BI of tourists. By following the research results in both sustainable destinations, DMOs can create sustainable gastronomic routes with special attention to key elements of quality that promote the MGE. Mechatronic Technology is a field of specialization that offers job opportunities in various sectors of industry. Demand for skilled and semi-skilled labour has increased over the years. However, there are still graduates who do not pursue careers in this field of study. Therefore, this study aimed to identify the factors contributing to the intention to apply mechatronic technology after graduation. The design of this study was conducted using a survey design, using a questionnaire as the instrument for data collection. Moreover, this study also consisted of 90 Mechatronic Technology Certificate students from ITI Bukit Katil and ITI Tangkak. Data were descriptively analyzed using mean scores and standard deviations. Multiple linear regression was used to identify the most dominant factor contributing to the student's intention to apply Mechatronic Technology after graduation. The results showed that factors of technology ease of use, technology usefulness and student behaviour intentions to apply mechatronic technology were high. The findings also demonstrated that ease of use of technology was the most dominant and significant factor in students' intention behaviour to apply mechatronic technology after graduation. Popular theories that explain or predict behavioural intentions are based on people’s attitudes and subjective norms. Their application is based on the (often implicit) assumption that people regard a subject (e.g., preventing the spread of COVID-19) as sufficiently important for them to formulate stable attitudes and subjective norms about it. As this assumption rarely holds for all people, the influence of attitudes and subjective norms in determining behavioural intentions changes depending on the importance of the subject. In other words, importance has a moderating effect on the relationship between intentions, attitudes, and subjective norms. We hypothesise that, as importance declines, the influence on intentions of attitudes decreases and the influence of subjective norms increases. This has important implications for efforts to encourage the adoption of preventative behaviours in relation to COVID-19 because promotional strategies designed to modify attitudes differ markedly from those designed to modify subjective norms. We test this hypothesis by analysing three different large-scale surveys about people’s intentions, involvement, attitudes, and subjective norms regarding the spread of COVID-19 in New Zealand. The results support our hypothesis and highlight the importance of distinguishing between when the formation of behavioural intentions depends mainly on attitudes and when it depends mainly on subjective norms.

This study aims to investigate the effects of tourist engagement dimensions on revisit and Word of Mouth (WOM) intentions of heritage tourists. The data were collected from domestic tourists in the heritage city of Kashan, Iran. To analyse the collected data, this study applies Partial Least Squares – Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) as a symmetric analysis technique, as well as fuzzy-set Qualitative Comparative Analysis (fsQCA) as an asymmetric analysis approach to strengthen the findings. The findings of PLS-SEM showed the significant effect of the absorption dimension on revisit intention, whereas these results demonstrated the significant effects of the dimensions of interaction, and identification on WOM intention. However, the results of fsQCA identified more heterogeneous combinations of dimensions of visitor engagement to predict revisit and WOM intentions. Overall, this study contributes to the extant literature on tourist engagement by constructing a composite picture of tourist engagement dimensions on the behavioural intentions of heritage tourists. Purpose: This study aims to assess service quality in sport child camps among both participants and parents and its effects on satisfaction and behavioural intentions. Design/methodology/approach: Data were collected from participants (n = 258) and parents (n = 226) of a sport child camp. A confirmatory factor analysis analysed the psychometric properties of the constructs, and a subsequent structural equation model examined the effects of service quality on satisfaction and behavioural intentions. Findings: The results indicate a multi-dimensional construct of service quality that influences satisfaction and behavioural intentions differently among parents and participants. For participants, Service Failures and Recovery, Safety and Food influenced satisfaction, while Service Failures and Recovery and Fun influenced Behavioural Intentions. For parents, Management Commitment to Service Quality, Staff, Food and Contact with Physical Environmental influenced satisfaction, while Management Commitment to Service Quality and Staff influenced Behavioural intentions. Research limitations/implications: Both parents and participants' perceptions of service quality in sport child camps were captured and its effects on satisfaction and behavioural intentions. The study provides sport child camp managers with critical information about service delivery and its outcomes among the two key consumers (participants and parents). Originality/value: This study offers new ideas to advance knowledge on sport child camps by capturing the perceptions of two key stakeholders and providing useful insights into how different attributes of service quality influence the levels of satisfaction and behavioural intentions among parents and participants. The adoption rate of electronic banking services (e-services) by consumers has increased significantly in recent years. For example, in the European Union, according to EUROSTAT data, the rate of individuals using the internet for internet banking increased by more than 25% between 2012 and 2023 (Eurostat, 2024). This may be due to several factors: the evolution of technology, the COVID-19 pandemic period, the time needed to complete a transaction, the availability of services, etc. The main objective of this paper was to assess whether trust in banking institutions can influence consumers' behavioural intentions when discussing the use of e-services. The following dimensions were considered to measure trust in the banking unit: Ability, Integrity, Benevolence (Bhattacherjee, 2002). A scale with the following dimensions was also used to measure behavioural intentions: loyalty, switch, pay more, external response (Zeithaml et al., 1996). The relationships were tested both between the "trust" and "behavioural intentions" dimensions taken as a whole and between the "trust" dimension taken separately and the "behavioural intentions" dimension taken as a whole. To achieve the objective of this study, the author collected data from 500 respondents in Romania via an online questionnaire. The surveys were conducted between April and August 2022. Partial least squares (PLS-SEM) was used for data analysis. The PLS-SEM results confirmed the significance of three out of four direct relationships. For one of the hypotheses, the dimension "integrity" was removed from the proposed conceptual model due to preliminary tests. These findings can help credit institutions to take various measures to increase public trust in such institutions and encourage the use of e-banking services. The areas targeted by these measures include: financial education programmes; corporate social responsibility (CSR) campaigns; transaction security; quality of banking staff; and transparency of credit institutions. For future research, it would be valuable to know what results can be obtained in other geographical areas. It is recommended to adapt and create new scales that can measure trust in companies and consumer behavioural intentions. These tools can help companies develop in their industries.

The purpose of this study is to determine the factors influencing the Information & Communication Technology (ICT) adoption by the managers or owners of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) operating in India. Based on two established theories of technology adoption - Technology acceptance model and Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology - the factors influencing ICT adoption behaviour were hypothesized. The adequate sample was selected through the combination of random, judgmental and snowball sampling. Using structural equation modelling approach, the proposed model was tested. Findings reflect that perceived usefulness and social influence emerged as the dominating factors influencing ICT adoption decision. The study has also highlighted the barriers encountered by MSMEs in adopting ICT. The obtained barriers were categorized into three categories: resource/infrastructure, human resource, and technological environment. Government, MSME owners and ICT industry can benefit from the findings of this study.

This study investigates the behavioural intentions of museum visitors towards Virtual Reality (VR) technology, spanning the years 2010–2023. It evaluates literature quality, explores research theories, and identifies trends. Findings indicate that most museum visitors hold positive attitudes towards VR, necessitating further research on generational perspectives. Quantitative research methods dominate (77.8%), with 38.9% employing the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) or its extensions. Key influencing factors include perceived usefulness, information quality, perceived ease of use, and psychological cognition. The study underscores the importance of comprehending generational differences among museum visitors and advocates for adopting comprehensive theoretical models in future research within the museum domain. The purpose of this study is to determine the factors influencing the Information & Communication Technology (ICT) adoption by the managers or owners of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) operating in India. Based on two established theories of technology adoption - Technology acceptance model and Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology - the factors influencing ICT adoption behaviour were hypothesized. The adequate sample was selected through the combination of random, judgmental and snowball sampling. Using structural equation modelling approach, the proposed model was tested. Findings reflect that perceived usefulness and social influence emerged as the dominating factors influencing ICT adoption decision. The study has also highlighted the barriers encountered by MSMEs in adopting ICT. The obtained barriers were categorized into three categories: resource/infrastructure, human resource, and technological environment. • Investigating on pedestrians' perceptions while walking can help to improve their satisfaction and consequently the quality of the pedestrian environment. • PLS-SEM represents a suitable tool for evaluating the relationship between pedestrians' perceptions, service quality of the paths used by pedestrians, and their behavioural intentions. • Male and female opinions are investigated for discovering gender differences in perceptions of service quality. • The proposed methodology allows interesting differences between male and female to be discovered. • Practitioners can derive important suggestions from the analysis for defining strategies to improve the pedestrian environment. The objective of this work is investigating on differences in pedestrians' perceptions in terms of gender. Specifically, we want to verify differences between male and female in perceiving aspects characterizing pedestrian paths and influencing their satisfaction, perceived service quality, and behavioural intentions. We propose a methodology based on Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) approach. From the model calibration we derived different coefficients for male and female, representing the importance that each category of users gives to the various aspects characterizing the paths. Data were collected through a sample survey addressed to pedestrians walking on paths placed in an urban area of the southern Italy. We discovered interesting findings about gender differences. In general, females are more sensitive than males concerning many important aspects such as environmental aspects in terms of air pollution and noise, or personal security from robbery or theft, or presence of furnishing along the path and cleanliness of the environment. On the other hand, male consider more the continuity of pedestrian path and the condition of the walking surface, as well as the nuisance due to the vehicle flow. In terms of similarities in perceptions, male and female equally appreciated the comfort due to the presence of trees providing shade along the path. The findings from the model could be useful for planners, who should invest on those aspects considered as important by both the categories, but also on the aspects that determine an inequality between male and female. As an example, since women do not feel secure along those paths, planners could improve this aspect in such a way as to make paths attractive to both women and men, as well as the aspects considered more relevant for men, to incentivize pedestrian mobility.
