A recent study conducted by researchers at Zhejiang University in Hangzhou, China, explores the enhanced adsorption performance of varying-length mRNA on oligo dT affinity resins through optimal pore size and grafting. The study investigates the effects of pore size and grafting on the adsorption capacity and uptake kinetics of mRNA. The results show that an optimal pore size of about 350 nm leads to the highest dynamic binding capacities (DBCs) for all tested mRNA. Additionally, polymer-grafted resins exhibit higher DBCs compared to non-grafted resins. This research provides valuable guidance for selecting and designing new resins for different mRNA products.
